Reviews of IBM Maximo Application Suite

Pros:
Tracking of work orders and service requests is great, also assigning job codes to preventative maintenance plans and labor hour tracking.
Cons:
Ability to make changes or customizations to software
theres alternatives, but IBM maximo perform at it cost
Comments: As someone who has been using IBM Maximo Application Suite for the past 2 years, I can confidently say that it is an exceptional asset management solution. During this time, I've come to appreciate its intuitive and user-friendly interface, which has made it easy for me to manage my assets efficiently. One of the features that I particularly like about Maximo is its ability to integrate with other IBM technologies and products, allowing me to streamline my operations and reduce complexity. This has been a huge help in ensuring that my assets are well-maintained and that downtime is kept to a minimum.Another aspect of Maximo that I appreciate is its customization and scalability. Whether I'm working with a small asset base or a large one, I've found that Maximo is highly adaptable and can grow with my needs. Additionally, I've been impressed by the security features built into the software, which provide me with peace of mind knowing that my sensitive information is protected. Finally, I've found Maximo to be highly configurable and flexible, allowing me to easily adapt to changing business requirements. Whether I'm looking to optimize my asset management processes or simply manage my assets more effectively, Maximo has been an indispensable tool.In conclusion, I would highly recommend IBM Maximo Application Suite to anyone looking for a comprehensive and effective solution for managing their assets. Based on my own experience using the software for the past 2 years, I c
Pros:
Comprehensive asset management solution: IBM Maximo Application Suite offers a range of capabilities, from asset lifecycle management to maintenance and repair operations, that help organizations optimize their asset performance, minimize downtime, and reduce costs.
Cons:
Implementation and maintenance costs: The cost of implementing and maintaining IBM Maximo Application Suite, including the software itself and any associated services, can be substantial. Additionally, the initial implementation and ongoing maintenance and upgrades may require significant resources.
Not user friendly
Comments: I use it for time sheet tracking, purchasing processes, and other processes.
Pros:
Maximo has a wealth of functionality built in which means you can do more with a single program. This allows for a single point of use program which is potentially more efficient.
Cons:
This software is not user friendly at all! I have used a lot of difficult software but this one is the least user friendly I have encountered in a long time! It really detracts from the positives of the software.
The most comprehensive asset management software in the market
Comments: IBM Maximo is a powerful software that is loved by us and our clients when they figure out the ease of use and how they're capable of managing their large base of assets with the extensive capabilities of Maximo. This masterpiece from IBM is very powerful and can be used for different applications. One great example of how the software can be used is to assign tickets to different employees based on the type of work they do. Maximo allows employees to choose from a wide range of applications.
Pros:
Maximo is one of IBM's masterpieces, with true comprehensiveness to manage enterprise assets. It is powerful and versatile, and it's easy to use. It's by far the only end-to-end asset management software on the market. It can serve as a centralized database for your equipment, and it will help monitor and manage your assets. If you have a lot of equipment, Maximo is the way to go. It can help you keep track of everything, and it has all of the tools you need for managing, maintaining, and servicing your equipment.
Cons:
I find the product's ease of use to be its best feature and also the most frustrating. The user interface is confusing when attempting to learn how the program functions; modules have similar features, but not all of them are intuitive. I switch between browsers depending on which one works best for different tasks.
Asset Management, Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance in a single tool
Comments: The IBM Maximo system is one of the best software that I have used. It has made countless tasks easier. There are many reports that can be customized to the needs of the company. The reports can be used to make decisions to help improve productivity and quality of service while keeping up with maintenance and failure predictions to prevent any previous failures from happening again in the future with the detailed in-depth historical reports.
Pros:
I have been using Maximo for about 2 years and have been very happy with the ease of use and the reports it generates. I have been using Maximo to track our equipment and work order requests. I have found the maintenance history reports to be helpful in predicting equipment failure. I also use it to track employee time and generate reports on individual employee work habits. It would be nice if it could compare time worked from day to day, but it does not so far.
Cons:
Maximo has many features that can be useful to businesses, but it may also be confusing for some users. The software is expensive, and much of its cost may be due to its advanced feature set.
Maximo expert started as a consultant and now at the client side
Pros:
Capable and has amazing industry verticals which set Maximo apart from all competitors. The addition of HSE manager was a great value and the recent Supply Chain functionalities enhancement were spot on. Overall, when it comes to having an out of the box product with deep industry understanding, Maximo is the way to go.
Cons:
##Product 1: The product lacks standards business processes, just like SAP, Maximo must ship with standard business process. Stressing on the same point, I'd rather spend time and money understanding the standard business process and using it as a starting point than having the absolute freedom to create whatever because this is where "replicating legacy systems" starts. ##Product 2: It is difficult to justify Maximo investment compared to Oracle EBS or SAP! unless you really need a specific industry vertical, Maximo is one system which require million integrations. Hence, Maximo must ship with, not only the excellent MIF capability, but also with free integration adapters to major systems from Oracle and SAP. The cost of maintaining a custom integration between Maximo and those systems is just to high compared to integrations between Maximo and less demanding systems. ##Vendor 1: If IBM is not able to provide a fully integrated ERP system, then they have to make the product more appealing by reducing the cost of getting up and integrated with the existing ERP system. Not only by offering a generic way to integrate but also to provide a set configurable integration adapters with business cases. ##Vendor 2: The licensing scheme has to be revised to become more flexibly, every product has weaknesses compared to competitors and if IBM cannot offer a full ERP then they must take it easy and compensate somewhere else.
Best in class EAM
Comments: Maximo is a very complex system that can be configured to your exact needs. While there is some upfront learning curve, once you get the hang of it, you're only limited by your imagination as to what you can solve with Maximo. We've tracked everything from people, to refrigerant, to timecards, to schematics, and so much more.
Pros:
Maximo can do EVERYTHING. And if it can't, you have the tools within the product to build it. Maximo has a multitude of add-ons, industry solutions, etc. that add functionality to meet the needs of nearly any industry or use case. We've been implementing Maximo at clients of all sizes for years now and never had to tell a customer "No, it can't do that".
Cons:
The only drawback for some customers is license pricing. Compared to the rest of the market, IBM is in the higher end, but you get what you pay for and much more with Maximo! Also, IBM's COTS mobile solutions to interface with Maximo are a little lacking, but there are a multitude of 3rd party solutions that will work even better.
IBM Maximo Tracking System
Comments: Employee time tracking was added to the system. After getting a baseline of time the system was able to compair the logged calls with the time the employee works daily. Also after getting a years worth of data some of the report was able to show graphs of how well the equipment was working or not working.
Pros:
The program is good at getting things done in the background. Importing the current records can be a problem if someone was to go and make changes after the snap shot was taken. All updates after the import wouldn't get imported. The uses are endless as to what function that you may have just set it up they way you would like a report to run and it works every time unless the server goes down.
Cons:
The learning curve for the system is massive and will take some time to get used to and proficent in the workings of how things are running.
Old Fashioned Business Workflow System
Comments: As final user, I never enjoyed that program. It is very hard to use and boring.
Pros:
I dont have any feature I liked about the product. This might be a good solution for software engineers who are dealing with design of workflows etc but this is not a product for final user.
Cons:
User interface is really really bad. Its user interface does not encourage you to use it. Even filling a simple from for raising a ticket is becoming a headache.
IBM Maximo
Comments: This application is used in order to manage the assets of our company more effectively. Entity,Inventory,Purchasing and Used in Service Management
Pros:
This application is used in order to manage the assets of our company more effectively. Entity,Inventory,Purchasing and Used in Service Management.
Cons:
Very useful software, no negative side.
Work order tracking made easy!
Comments: Overall, it gets the job done regardless of the time out.
Pros:
The fact that you have records of work orders/job from years ago!!!
Cons:
It sometimes takes time load, causing lagging. Also don't like how quickly it times out
Great tool for asset management
Comments: Our tooling and maintenance departments are making the best of this tool for asset management. Also, integration with MES system ensures we are always using properly maintained and calibrated equipment.
Pros:
Very robust platform for asset management. You can configure all sorts of tasks and manage not only tools and machines but all can of assets. Programing and tracking of preventive maintenance. Inventory control. Ability to interface with other systems, like MES.
Cons:
Requires going through a good amount of learning curve for end users, but nothing overcomplicated.
Maximo Review
Comments: I spent 10 yrs using Maximo for a previous employer. The desktop version is very easy to use. There were several issues getting ipads to sync up the correct inventory numbers.
Pros:
The functions that I needed worked very well
Cons:
There were a lot of functions that weren't needed. Needs more customization.
Maximo Review
Pros:
Once your learn how to use all the functions, a very capable system for WO's, parts, etc. Used it on a daily basis.
Cons:
It took some training on how to use it properly. There are a lot of features, not sure if you could really use them all.
Review of Maximo
Comments: Form a user view, it's a good way to track the request form the consumer.
Pros:
Maximo is a tool that we user to make request with consumer. It's help us to make follow of they problem.
Cons:
Customer doesn't have a message when a ticket is open and it's the same thing when the ticket is close so we receive call form consumer to know where is they resolving problem is.
Maximo Administrator's Review
Pros:
Maximo is a very "all inclusive" software that can be used for whatever your business needs are; flexible enough to adapt to your business; and meets industry best practices to help set process standards. Maximo UI's are very easily configurable to provide a look and feel that suits your needs and allows your legacy process work flows to be automated.
Cons:
Maximo can be very complex during initial implementations and certain upgrades.
Maximo Review
Pros:
The ability to configure the application, particularly in the recent versions. We're currently on 6.2 which has limited configurability, but version 7.x and greater seem to have an extensive amount of configurability without the need for customization.
Cons:
The overall user interface of the application. I'd like to see it modernized.
Excellent asset management software
Pros:
The software is user friendly and is very flexible to meet our demands.
Cons:
The product licensing structure is expensive. At our company, we are currently competing with an Oracle product. With Oracle, when you have the license to one module, you have access to all of the other modules.
IBM Maximo Asset Management is an excellent product
Pros:
It can be configured just in any way that meets the customer's requirements, well built product that can integrate with the other enterprise systems easily.
Cons:
Product is very expensive and getting the right talent to implement and support is always a challenge to many companies.
Long time Maximo user
Pros:
Configuration from front end. Ease of use. The envirosphere associated with the product.
Cons:
Just so much to learn for any individual, and both training and documentation are difficult to manage just because of sheer volume.
Maximo, Asset Management Program for RED Rochester.
Pros:
The product is versatile and expandable. Many modules cover a wide variety of needs, as a maintenance management tool, financial tool, and as a purchasing tool, to name only a few. Each module ties together and relates all transaction back to the asset. Projetech has proven itself as a knowledgeable and service-minded company. Projetech is able to offer many new ideas and innovative solutions to meet the customer's needs. Projetech's management of the Maximo program is the best!
Cons:
None. This product is one of the highest-rated product on the market, and we have not been disappointed in fourteen years!
Maximo review
Pros:
Highly customizable Useful asset tracking and management tool Can be accessed from PC as well as mobile
Cons:
Not user friendly. Take long time to load documents in the system.
The state of the art in IOT sw for controlling plants, buildings, equipments etc.
Pros:
IBM Maximo is the state of the art of the software controlling buildings, plant, equipements. It's the real Internet of Things
Cons:
No major cons for this software, except the direct support from IBM; it's a little slow and it's better to be in touch witha skilled reseller.
Maximo is the way to go!
Pros:
I like how organized it is, how easy it is to use the QBRs to fit our company's results. Projetech is a fantastic company. Everyone is so very helpful; they are very organized, and they follow up quickly to see that your issue is resolved in a timely manner. I have never worked with a more organized support group than Projetech.
Cons:
I have not used the software long enough to have a least.
Versatile Program
Pros:
The Software is the most advanced you can get out of a CMMS, it features more than you could ever ask for and should be on the higher rating of things, but there are still some things that hold it back
Cons:
Maximo has some of the most advanced features, too many features. Doubtful that companies will ever use every feature offered. The price is extraordinarily high, probably due to being so feature packed, but with cheaper software doing everything you would need Maximo is over the top, somewhat unnecessarily
