> **Pros**: When I began using this software, there was a major push for organizations to bring all their departments into one system. Our Business Office, Academics, Admissions, and Development were all brought in from the various systems and like all transitions, it was bumpy but once we found our stride - the system worked okay.

> **Cons**: As the needs and demands of an organization have grown over the last decade so has the desire to offer more and make it look better by way of our online systems. Senior Systems and MyBackpack simply did not keep up. We were still interfacing with it via Citrix on the backend until some engineering oversight caused them to completely overhaul their system to RDP access - which might have fixed whatever the underlying issue was but caused a much slower login process for our database users.

> It has been like watching the slow death of a juggernaut. When we were evaluating systems sixteen years ago.  Senior System and their competition Blackbaud felt very much like two giants that could equally pull their weight. We felt as though that were still true for a while after choosing MyBackpack and moving all the departments over, but slowly we have watched as the product failed to update or modernize. The desire for more flexibility and capability as well as a more attractive interface were heard and at least acknowledged. The short lived attempt at an update in the form of Radius was long promised and then disappeared very quickly. All the while, we were still having difficulty getting them to unpack years of baked in choices to the database that were outdated - gendered terminology or phone slot associations. Like other companies we have seen go under the Community Brands umbrella it felt as though there were a major push on expansion of the total number of brands without keeping an eye on overlap and quality. The support team was shrunk drastically and we long standing subject matter experts were not to be found anymore. At one point in the middle of our time using them we used to joke about not getting help from the support team so call back and face the luck of the draw. We might get someone who knew more. Toward the end, we'd call back and get the same person multiple times.
