Reference for imaging

5.0 last year

Pros:

Since Ghost is out of the picture, acronis is the top in image-based backup.

Cons:

It is a bit expensive compared to similar competitors.

All in one backup solution which can be opted for without the concern of CAPEX.

4.0 3 years ago

Comments: I am using Acronis for the last could of months and yet I did not face any issue in terms of working as well as their support's response time is also too good.

Pros:

There is no need for any minimum billing commitment for Aronis cyber cloud (if you opt for the same from Acronis resellers), as well as they offers the backups for each and every type of computing load and Operating Systemes in addition we can monitor and configure the backup from a single pan of glass (i.e. Acronis Console).

Cons:

We can not configure or use our own AWS S3 or Microsoft Blob as storage.

Do NOT give them your credit card info!

1.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: The absolute worst customer service ever. I was previously using Acronis for personal and business PCs under different subscriptions. I cancelled my personal account year's ago yet their distribution partner, Cleverbridge, renews it every year with credit card info they kept without my permission and multiple advisories to remove same. This year they did it again and it took weeks to get a refund. I have dozens of emails and ridiculous comments from Acronis and Cleverbridge who pass the buck between each other. I never got all my money back and am stuck with them for a few more months. Rest assured I will not renew with them nor will I ever buy software via Cleverbridge. They are in no way GDPR compliant and if they ever have a data breach, know that your credit card info is kept by them regardless of what you allow/tell them. It one thing to create software that works (most of the time) but screwing up customer service like this will hopefully lead them to wake up and treat customers fairly or go out of business...... Happy to share the litany of e-mails that range between ridiculous and humorous. Buyer beware!

Pros:

It worked on Mac and PC which was a plus. This is a product that has evolved over the years so it is still maturing.

Cons:

When there is a tech issue, their outsourced customer service barely speaks English and it takes a ridiculous amount of messaging to solve the simplest things.

We are very sorry to hear this story and would like to analyze your experience in more detail so that we can improve the quality of our services, including those of our partner Cleverbridge. You've mentioned: >"Happy to share the litany of e-mails" Could you please forward that to [email protected] ? Also, please share any support ticket number you had.

A combination of practicality and userbility

Comments: The software has made it easy for us to monitor our devices for viruses and malware attacks. It has also provided us with as evidence remote patch management systems.

Pros:

Fast customer services and ability of the software to effortlessly scan locate endpoints.

Cons:

Steep learning curve is the only issue with the software.

The Disaster recovery for your infrastructure

4.0 3 years ago

Comments: Overall Acronis has been rock solid for me. I was surprised by the simplicity at first but have come to embrace it. I had setup complicated Veeam Cloud Connect solutions in previous roles, so in my mind Backup Solution= Complicated. Not so with Acronis. I have had to engage support once or twice, and I'm happy to say they got me what I needed without much fuss.

Pros:

Initially we needed a backup solution for Office 365 (email, sharepoint, teams etc) and sent out requests to our VAR. He came back with Acronis, which I'd used many years ago personally. Coming from a Veaam background professionally, I was very much going to go with an onsite solution backed by Veeam, but I gave Acronis a try. The Fact that I had everything setup in 10 mins and backing up, kinda sealed the deal. I'd not expected it to be that simple. Later I'd a need to backup a few VM and servers that had no local storage for... no problem, install the agent and it's backed up to Azure Blobs. Also very cool, is that I used Acronis to migrate these servers to Azure eventually, simply be restoring from Acronis to Azure.

Cons:

Backing up O365 services to Azure blobs? And only to Europe North? Not what I would call Disaster recovery, in the event that Europe North has issues.

Easy to setup and reliable to restore from.

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: We have been using Acronis for sometime now, and it is a very user friendly solution. It offers lots of options, and the time where we have had to restore, it has been successful every time.

Pros:

One of the best parts of Acronis ,is just how easy it is to setup and configure. It comes with so many options and features. If you want a simple backup, a few clicks and your away. If you want encryption and compression etc. equally a easy,.

Cons:

What we would like to see, is a way of customizing the email address which sends us the backup alerts. This way we can administer it easier, as it creates tickets in our ticket system.

We use this for workstation backups at my company and for this task it works great. The compression and deduplication is pretty good, scheduling options are very robust. I've had very few issues using it and it has been very reliable.

Best solution for Disaster & Recovery

4.0 12 months ago

Pros:

The best thing about it is the different options for restoring while keeping RPOs and RTOs low.

Cons:

The price and that it is not so modular, there are many functionalities that we don't need because we cover them with another product and we can't stop paying for them.

A great backup solution for everything.

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

The product is very easy to use, the everyday check of the backup is very clear. Need a specific file? No problems ! Check the backup and restore it with ease. Multiple backup location is easy too.

Cons:

There not much cons about acronis. The cloud plan is a bit expensive, and you can't really have a FTP plan as easy as the cloud plan but it's worth.

Perfect All-in-One Backup Platform for any system or cloud service you could think of.

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Trying to backup various systems (Windows, Android, iOS, Mac) and cloud services (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365) in one platform was our goal. Acronis helped us archive this with ease and a very intuitive interface. All previous support requests we had have been answered and solved within 1-3 hours, if something could not be solved it was handed over to engineering to see if it's possible to implement the desired functionality. Pricing is very fair. You can add additional backup storages either local or at various service providers of your choice like AWS, Google, Azure, etc.

Pros:

It is very easy to create and manage various backup plans for different systems, cloud services and use cases. You can easily integrate Google Workspace and Microsoft365 into the platform and have a tree view of all your shared folders and email accounts. Backing up one of these is as easy as clicking a checkbox (if you already setup and defined your backup plan). All backups are by default encrypted, you can however encrypt these again. You can manage disaster recovery and have your backup stored at various service provider of your choice and/or local. Pricing per GB model is very fair and inexpensive.

Cons:

Might be sometimes overwhelming, as it also tries to integrate some sort of cloud protection option, however easy to ignore if you only want to use it for backups. The interface is not very mobile-friendly, highly recommend using it on PC only.

Acronis Cyber is so easy & effective

5.0 3 years ago

Pros:

It came preloaded with a portable hard driver I purchased and was super easy to install & set up. It works flawlessly and I back up my entire pc each week to ensure I don't lose files or images that can't be replaced. It doesn't take much space on my pc nor does it seem to require much memory to run effectively - you won't even realize it is there!

Cons:

I don't have any dislikes at this time. I've been using it for over a year and have zero complaints to register about the product.

Ideal for recovery and backup of business data

4.0 6 years ago

Comments: Acronis has been really useful since at a business level it is always under risk, since it can fail some server or be attacked in a cybernetic way that is why thanks to the implementation of this software we have backup copies of the business data more important as well as an immediate recovery of them.

Pros:

One of the things I like most about this information backup software is that it allows users to back up any location, that is, it does not matter if their data is in the cloud or if it is on another platform. the same way you can protect them, its interface is highly customizable so the user can choose the type of backup that you want to implement, it also offers different types of data encryption which is really advantageous, because if they are stored out of its platform there is no risk of loss or theft and the best or my favorite aspect is that it does not matter since part of the world wants to carry out the backup of information since it is a platform that only requires internet access and a user account to protect your data.

Cons:

Acronis is not a completely perfect platform because its learning curve is quite high so it is recommended only for companies with a large amount of data to support.

Cloud backups are great, when you have internet

5.0 6 years ago

Pros:

The ability to run local, and cloud backups provide the extra redundancy necessary for any company to succeed after data loss. During a prolonged internet outage, it's important to be able to keep your backups running.

Cons:

The pricing can be complex to navigate, and deciding which plan to subscribe to-- the per device/ per GB-- isn't obvious at first and takes a reseller with experience to lead you in the right direction.

Fast restoration of the most important business data and information

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: Since the use of this software has been implemented, our information is kept secure and backed up so that in the event of any failure of one of our servers we no longer have to worry because we only have to go from anywhere to the cloud and thus restore that information to may our business continue to stand.

Pros:

I love Acronis Backup, since it is a software that allows you to quickly restore commercial and personal information, it is also easy to use and beyond restoring and supporting data, it also protects them against ransomware attacks what really It gives us peace of mind because we can not only back up our data but also protect it, which is why I consider it a really complete and quite flexible software, since it offers its users a free 30-day trial, and is also compatible with Linux systems and Windows

Cons:

More than upset I consider it a suggestion, it would be ideal if your interface could be improved to make it much more modern.

Simple and effective for my budget

4.0 7 years ago

Pros:

The web based console to control all my backups in one place, and not having to remote onto a machine to start a backup or create a backup profile is great. The fact that incomplete backups can resume from where they left off, and i have the option of target locations to do backups

Cons:

Initially the software upgrades can take quite long or not complete at all. Sometimes the seed load is seen as a separate backup, and the incremental backups take up more space than they should.

Having Acronis will ensure you get a bonus

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: My overall experience with this software has been nothing but excellent. I can sleep rest assured that our back ups are completing and were able to restore if we need to.

Pros:

Acronis By far the best most robust and easiest to use back up software I have ever used. The jobs are easy to set up in the restores our seamless.

Cons:

I struggle to find any cons with the software. As compared to our previous backup software this is far and away the best. This is outperformed anything that comes to my mind.

Perfect for backing up from cloud platforms or even physical servers. Works as a great backup situation or even for imaging purposes. Support is always helpful and can work through issues over the phone or a virtual meeting.

Cons:

Acronis - Great Local Backup

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: For backing up my local drives while offering Ransomware protection, my experience with Acronis has been great.

Pros:

The GUI and various options are easy to figure out and configure. There are many different backup options, and the on-board Ransomware protection is a plus.

Cons:

The software does crash on a somewhat regular basis and appears at times to be a memory hog. However, most of the time it works just fine.

Acronis imaging

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: I love using Acronis to backup my desktop to my NAS and also to create images of computers that I am working on.

Pros:

I like how easy and quick it is to make an image of a computer. I also REALLY like the universal restore feature, this is great for restoring a system on dissimilar hardware.

Cons:

The one con I can think of is that in order to explore an image you have created, you must have the Acronis software installed on your computer to do so. Windows cannot open a .tib file on its own.

Did not live up to expectations

3.0 7 years ago

Comments: When it worked we had peace of mind. But more often then not there were errors and that was unacceptable for a backup.

Pros:

The price is affordable for a small office and it was easy to download. Setting it up was not hard either.

Cons:

Like they say you are only as good as your last backup if your server crashes. We had many difficulties with Acronis performing full and incremental backups. We would schedule daily backups over night (they could take 5-6 hours) only to find out the next day there were errors. It never seemed we could go a full week without some sort of error. We went with another backup program after 6 months of use.
