Reviews of Pixlr
Best tool for image editing
Comments: I started calmly with the free version over 5 years ago, the free version is already excellent, after adding the daily download limitation about 2/3 years ago, I started using the paid version which is excellent. It is worth it!
Pros:
It's very simple to use, you don't need to be a designer to start editing images. The web version is excellent, however they have a desktop version that also helps a lot. I've been using it for years to edit images. I use it a lot to convert photos from different formats and high quality to the WEBP format for the websites I develop.
Cons:
I don't have aspects that I noticed that could be improved, maybe they have templates for different businesses and improve the stock images.
Basic but useful graphic creator and editor
Comments: I use Pixlr to make things like banners and graphics or to crop an image quickly from my desktop. I've used it casually for years, and it's mostly pretty easy to navigate. I've always been happy with the results and I like that I don't have to have an account to use it.
Pros:
Pixlr is a great browser-based photo editor with many of the same functionalities as Photoshop, at a much lower cost with a free level as well. There's a learning curve to using it, but it's a handy tool for quick edits and graphic creation.
Cons:
There didn't use to be a limit on how many images you can save at the free level, but now it's only five per day, which is difficult if you're testing different sizes, layouts etc. For someone who isn't familiar with the tools and what they do, it can be difficult to learn.
Easy Advanced Image Editing
Comments: I have used it to modify photos and drawings. It is somewhat intuitive and provides lots of advanced tools for free.
Pros:
I liked the ease of use. It very much mirrors Adobe products in its layout and gives lots of free editing options.
Cons:
There's really nothing I didn't like about it. In fact, it looks like they've even added new AI options since I last signed in.
Frustrating abd disappointing
Comments: I put in prompts that do not seem to be understood. I use negative prompts to avoid the constant dismissal of the prompts I'm trying to create and it just keeps reproducing similar images to the ones that do not match my prompts. I will state the subject has blonde hair and it provides brunettes. I state a body type as plump or full figured or heavy set, chubby, or fat and it produces skinny barbie type models. I prompt a style of clothing such as an 18th century dress with apron and it produces short mini skirts. Pixlr seems to only be capable of producing provocative type subjects rather than realist looking models, like REAL people. I choose a cinematic style and it produces a cartoon like look, painted even. I have the free version and it is garbage, I wouldn't pay to upgrade since it can't handle the simplest prompts. Playground ai, is 100% better.
Pros:
Nothing at all. It is terrible garbage..
Cons:
Its inability to function as advertised.
Reviewing Pixlr
Pros:
The most part I like about pixlr is that you can use so many tools to edit your picture.
Cons:
The least part of pixlr is that I don't have a least part of pixlr.
Pixlr-a great tool to onboard future graphic designers
Comments: I have an overall positive impression of Pixlr. It is well supported by how-to resources in print as well as on YouTube.
Pros:
I like how easy it is to use and the pop ups on the features make the learning curve low. I teach my student aides how to use it. The similar functionality to Photoshop makes it a good "fit".
Cons:
I was easily able to integrate it into my instruction with students. It would be a good tool to teach basic photo editing skills that could be a nice sedgeway into using more advanced photo editing toools.
Pixlr E - a Useful editing tool
Comments: This is a great, low-cost product that is easy to use. I recommend it for every toolbox.
Pros:
It is easy to create digital art using this product and there are new features being introduced all the time like generative AI.
Cons:
Sometimes it is not apparent what I need to do to execute a function and it take additional time to find out how the feature/function works. I do a lot of experimenting to learn how to use the features.
I use Pixlr Quite Often on the Go to Edit my Photos
Comments: Overall, am glad I discovered Pixlr. It has been a huge help for me for basic to intermediate photo editing needs on the go but when I need more advanced photo editing, I always turn to my normal advanced photo editing application like photoshop installed on my machine.
Pros:
- I have used Pixlr for quit a while now. It is a simple photo editing option that can easily be accessed via the browser. I like that I can access it from any computer with an internet connection through a browser. If you have worked with Photoshop before, then using Pixlr will be an easy and straightforward experience. Even for new users, using Pixlr is quite simple, the interface quite literally tells you exactly what you need. - I use it for quick and simple edit photos when am on the go, and so far it has never really disappointed me. The service is quite reliable and always up. I have never experienced a downtime so far.
Cons:
- Well, at the end of the day Pixlr will never be as advanced as Photoshop. There are some advanced features and functionalities that you cannot find in Pixlr but are in Photoshop. An example of this is, the ability to detect and change the background color of a photo.
It's ideal for quick image editing
Comments: For a free tool, it's not bad as it helps to accomplish quick image editing tasks. I won't really recommend it for advanced editing.
Pros:
Pixlr has some features that can be admired and useful when it comes to image editing.- First and foremost, it's quite easy to use and also friendly in design quality.- secondly, It supports some of my favorite cloud integrations like Google Drive and Dropbox which I use more often for backing up my files.- It supports layers and masks, which are essential for advanced image editing, making it easier to apply changes and adjustments to images.- It's web-based and available in my native language (The English Language).
Cons:
- It's very Limited Advanced Editing Features- Offers a low-quality Performance and Speed experience- Supports only a few file formats like JPEG and PNG which is great but not ideal for image editing in this fast-evolving era where technology is experiencing grammatical changes.- Only works online-
One of the worst AI Apps Ever
Comments: To be honest, I don't know where these 5 stars reviews come from, they're either paid or users that didn't try the AI capabilities
Pros:
Ease to use Friendy user interface Easy to suscribe
Cons:
IA tools are quite bad, never work when you try to delete or generate something App doesn't generate variations from editing Quite slow, takes like 1 minute to generate or delete something
One of my favorites edition tools
Pros:
Pixlr have one of the best tools so we can edit photos , it's layout is beautiful and really easy to use .
Cons:
Pixlr even have an online edition , so it is very easy to use and abuse , don't have complaint's .
Alternatives Considered:
Amazing App- And it's Free!
Pros:
It's the best free product I've used for photo editing, with both mobile and desktop applications that are almost without flaw. Very similar to Photoshop, and even better than Photoshop, in my opinion.
Cons:
No issues or complaints at all. I like the product more than any other of it's kind.
First-hand user experience with Pixlr
Comments: Pixlr is a well-liked options for online picture editing in general, with many users finding it to be a practical and useful tool for enhancing their images.
Pros:
Pixlr is an easy to use photo editing software especially for beginners. It can be accessed using a web browser and doesn't need to be downloaded or install to your computer. Also, the user-friendly design makes it simple for beginners to start editing photos. The set of tools and effects, including filters, overlays, and frames, has also received appreciation from users. The tools enable the editing and addition of artistic aspects to the photos.
Cons:
When using the mobile version, it has stability issues with the software. Also, there are some restrictions on the Pixlr free edition, including the inability to save photos in high resolution or access some of the more advanced editing tools.
Full Scope Free Photo Editor
Comments: Overall Pixlr is an excellent tool! I highly recommend for small business designers, especially if you wear multiple hats within your organization.
Pros:
Per the title, you can use this free! There are three versions of Pixlr 1) Pixlr E, which is the "advanced" version that is really intended for intermediate-to-advanced designers; and 2) Pixlr X, which is the basic photo editor, intended for entry level designers and/or quick photo editing; and 3) Pixlr Premium, this is the paid version. To clarify, Pixlr E is completely free as well, no added subscription or "pro" upgrade. Functionally, Pixlr E's platform mimics the layout and functionality of Photoshop, and Pixlr X is more closely related in function and format to Photoshop Express. Pixlr offers a wide variety of preset templates that provide a lot of benefit to expedite the design process. You will find blank artboard templates with preset dimensions for specific social media applications, so you don't have to worry about manually adjusting your dims each time you start a new post! Additionally, they offer a wide variety of pre-designed plug-and-play templates. Created by third-party designers, these plug-and-play templates are catered to all sorts of industries and applications - need a flyer for your classroom there's a template for that, need a brochure for a new product there's a template for that. The only caveat is that not all templates are free. Lastly, both platforms are cloud based, so you access them using the browser. This feature can be incredibly beneficial due to the file size and RAM it takes to run design programs on your PC.
Cons:
Honestly, I can't really think of much negative about this product. If you are looking for additional functionality and can't find it with the Premium Paid version, you probably are in need of an alternative software altogether!
One of my most favorite Photo editing Application - Pixlr
Comments: Pixlr is a straightforward and effortless application; with basic photo editing knowledge, you can do wonders.
Pros:
Embedded AI is doing magic in Pixlr E & Pixlr X. Pixlr is one of the best online photo editing applications. It is a web-based application, so you don't need to install any application on the computer. Photo editing and Photo retouching can be done on any computer. The mobile application also works very well. Removing the background from the subject, adding layers, and blending two images are very easy with Pixlr. Pixlr is a high-speed and responsive platform, even if we are working with more layers in the editing. Pixlr's Inbuilt template saves time searching and finding the perfect template. Image can be edited effortlessly in Pixlr E and Pixlr X platforms. Customized templates can be created for future use.
Cons:
Pixlr has downsides, like keyboard shortcuts will not work as in Photoshop and other photo editing applications. There are too many mobile application ads, which is sometimes annoying.
A fantastic option for doing quick photo work!
Comments: I use Pixlr for my side work and am thrilled to have invested in purchasing it. I use the software as my go-to for quick photo edits and social media post creation. I've used this for so many uses for simple graphic editing that I can't imagine not having it for image resizing, editing, and social media content creation. It is easy to use, intuitive, and I've never experienced an outage attempting to use it. There is a great tool for a content creator on the go who doesn't need to do extensive work that you may require Photoshop for but it still has 'most' of the features that the far more expensive platform has built in.
Pros:
This is a way to edit photos from anywhere as long as you have an active Internet connection and having an account with them allows you to recall older creations on the fly.
Cons:
My only downside to this is if you're used to having templates from alternate options like Canva there is far less to choose from though the selection has been expanding over the past year.
Shifting how my brain works
Comments: My brain is very verbal, I prefer to work with words. In the modern world visuals, colourful graphics and memes are a primary form of communication, and I have needed to move and learn in order to keep up and appeal to prospects. Pixlr X has let me do this, and I am convinced the images I have created with it have facilitated many new client relationships -- most especially with people under 40.
Pros:
I use Pixlr X a lot, and I am still finding new features and discovering shortcuts that make continued use simpler and the results more varied. I have zero background in graphics or visual arts, and Pixlr X helps me to create appealing memes to use in my marketing on Twitter and FaceBook and on my website.
Cons:
The Pixlr X software is fine; I have been annoyed with my own inabilities to see what is directly in front of me. Features such as resizing can be done from several different places within the flow of use, and having found one I reused it over and over for months before noticing that I could do it in the save-screen and eliminate that extra step. Learning all the time!
Review of Pixlr
Comments: Above all it's a great app and I'd recommend it anytime
Pros:
Pixlr is a great app for editing pictures even on mobile. I love it it's very user friendly and makes it easy to edit pictures even if you're a beginner.
Cons:
I feel it could improve on the color grading and balancing features and also Introduce more professional features.
Lightweight and powerful browser-based editor
Comments: Pixlr is absolutely ideal for almost all image editing tasks without needing to download any expensive software, and able to be used across endless multiple devices. It is lightweight and easy to use and gives great results without getting bogged down in complicated user interfaces or sluggish tools.
Pros:
Pixlr is a full featured editor that runs smoothly in most browsers, which makes it incredibly easy to create, edit and export images on the go.
Cons:
It is only possible to edit the top layer of any image, which means you need to be constantly switching layers around, which sometimes means you're having to make changes witohut being able to view your whole design.
Makes photo editing even more fun!
Comments: A fun, exciting way to edit photos like a pro! So many filters, frames, etc to choose from!
Pros:
All the ways to edit photos with a ton of different filters, frames, stickers, and so much more!
Cons:
Nothing really! I dont think there was one thing I didnt like about it!
pixlr
Pros:
Pixlr is an application that is easy to use even if you are not a professional, because it gives us fantastic results
Cons:
Such as edits recommend filers or presets which are main as they might add other elements in and regard.
Great free image editing program
Comments: Great free online photo editing software and easy to resize images for uploading onto my website.
Pros:
I mainly use Pixlr as a way to quickly edit the file size of my images before uploading to my website as large images can slow down your webpages. If I need to do any other editing of my photos (such as cropping, adding text, or brightening the image), I can also do this right in Pixlr before saving.
Cons:
Some of the editing features are more limited than in other programs I use (ex. adding text to images) so it's not my go to for all image editing. I prefer to edit images on my phone in the photo library or using Lightroom Mobile and add text using graphic design software on my computer with access to more fonts, etc.
Best photo editor online
Pros:
I really like pixlr for its ease of use and interface. Ideal for quick creations and not too many disturbing features
Cons:
The software has limited functionality and is not suitable for professionals
GREAT photo editing software
Comments: Overall I have used it for months and will continue to because once my photos are edited I like the final product.
Pros:
I love taking photos. I use the app a lot for photo editing. I make my images look a bit more better and professional looking since I then use it for social media content. The app is easy to use and great for editing photos or making digital marketing more appealing.
Cons:
I have not had any problems with the app. I use it frequently.
Pixlr review

Pixlr is great photo editing software. Less confusing settings like on Photoshop is it will be very very useful to you
Cons:
No problem encountered in the use of this software I highly recommend
