> **Pros**: Enterprise Portfolio Simulator is our go to tool when trying to answer questions that go beyond the capabilities of our day to day PPM tools.  Often these questions are surrounding potential changes to our portfolio, process, or organization where we wouldn't want to disrupt the general planning community.  Where EPS excels is helping us understand the impact of uncertainty, leverage the power of ranges and distributions rather than averages,  identifies the variables that truly make a meaningful difference to the outcomes, and allows for rapid comparison of different scenarios.  The tool itself is intuitive to use, very easy for a single user to set up a pretty robust model in a very short time, and the customer support is second to none when you have questions or run into any snags.

> **Cons**: While the automated connection to Microsoft Project Server is great (and I've leveraged in previous companies), importing data from other systems can be clunky.  The pain point is in formatting data pulled from another system into a fairly rigid Excel import template.  Once you get the hang of it, it isn't a deal breaker, but there is a learning curve.

> Overall, very happy with our experience with Enterprise Portfolio Simulator.  It has filled a critical niche in our analytical tool box and has allowed us to explore options that we wouldn't have been able to otherwise.
