Family, friends and business together in one place
Comments: I really like the overall experience with WhatsApp. I think it is way better than any other social media out there. I have been using it for a couple of years, and I use it every day on my phone as well as on my laptop. It helps me stay connected with family and friends from different countries, which is great!
Pros:
WhatsApp offers voice calling features, video calls, one-to-one private messaging, group messaging, file sharing, and location sharing. In 2011, WhatsApp was a fast-growing social networking service within Europe but has since expanded to provide service in most regions of the world.
Cons:
No option to sign out of WhatsApp from your iPhone or iPad. You can set it up so that people can't see when you were last active, but you can't choose to show a timestamp for that at all. The app does have animated stickers, but these can't be used on iPhone XS or XR because they're too big and left-aligned.
"Reliable Communication with Room for Improvement"
Comments: My overall experience with WhatsApp has been positive. It's a highly effective and reliable communication tool that integrates seamlessly into daily life. The app's simplicity makes it easy to use, whether you're sending a quick text, sharing photos and videos, or having a long-distance voice or video call. The security features, like end-to-end encryption, provide peace of mind, knowing that conversations are private. However, there are some areas where it could improve, such as offering more flexible options for managing contacts and notifications, and perhaps reducing its dependency on a single phone number. Despite these minor drawbacks, WhatsApp remains a go-to app for staying connected with friends, family, and colleagues around the world.
Pros:
What I find appealing about WhatsApp is its simplicity and user-friendly design. The app makes it easy to communicate with others through text, voice, or video, and it offers end-to-end encryption, which ensures that conversations remain private. Features like group chats, media sharing, and the ability to send voice messages add to its functionality. Plus, it’s accessible across various devices and platforms, making it convenient for staying connected with people worldwide.
Cons:
What I find less appealing about WhatsApp is its heavy reliance on a phone number for account creation and use, which can be limiting for those who prefer to keep their number private or use multiple devices. Additionally, the constant need for internet connectivity can be a drawback in areas with poor coverage. The app's backup and data management system could also be more user-friendly, as restoring chats can sometimes be cumbersome. Lastly, the sheer volume of notifications, especially from group chats, can become overwhelming without proper management.

Good product for personal use, but not so much for business use ... yet
Comments: We started using WhatsApp to have another form of communication for our international students; however, we quickly realized that it created a significant amount of extra work for our representatives after they had a conversation with students. We also realized that the communication with our students was subpar (think abbreviations with texting), so when working with a group where english is their second language, this turned into a challenging conversation for our team (especially since our programs are all exclusively in english). This would be a great option for a smaller company who didnt need to verify english language competency and/or who wanted a quick way of communicating with customers and didnt need to record the conversations (ie. take notes and put them in a CRM).
Pros:
Easy for personal use on a phone. Has a good interface on desktop and phone. Pretty quick to message back and a good option for smaller companies looking for free options for communicating with clients and/or international folks. Good option for those who are overseas that dont have a phone option to call if you dont have any other options in your company for this purpose.
Cons:
Easy to use on a personal level, but not efficient enough for business use. Need a specific phone/line for business use and doesnt have an easy/efficient way to transfer info into a CRM or any type of contact repository (especially for notes). Doesn't look very professional and is difficult to have more professional conversations through a texting format, especially with students and international students.

Good product for personal and business use.
Pros:
The interface is user-friendly on both desktop and phone, making it easy to use for both personal and business purposes. Pretty quick to respond to messages and a good option for small companies looking for free communication options with clients and/or international individuals. If you have no other options in your company for this purpose, this is a good option for people who are overseas and lack a phone option to call.
Cons:
Sometimes the video call glitches even when you have a stable network but it's good
WhatsApp - Instant Messages and Calls
Comments: The App works smoothly without any lagging. The messages are sent and received instantly without any delay except that there is slight delay in Voice and Video Calls. Making Payments on WhatsApp using UPI is not that good as per transaction limit is INR2000.
Pros:
I like the instant messaging service. The receiver receives the message within less than a second. Also, we can share different files or documents in variety of formats. The new feature of creating our own avatar is also awesome. Privacy is given priority in WhatsApp by end-to-end encryption. Its good to have option of whether you want to keep your Read Receipts On or Off. Manage Storage option eases ones efforts to manage the device storage as some of the large unwanted files can be deleted easily without even searching them in each chat. The large files are categorized separately in Manage Storage.
Cons:
The audio calls quality is not that good. I hear the voice of the person with whom I'm speaking after approximately 1 second. Means the voice takes about 1 second delay to hear. Same goes with the Video Calls. When clicking on any WhatsApp channel which I don't follow, it takes about 2-3 seconds to load and then it opens. The documents received in WhatsApp for iOS doesn't gets stored in the iPhone's Files. You can only open it through WhatsApp only. Read Receipts are always On for Group Chat. The UPI payment limit on WhatsApp is INR2000. Because of this, I prefer using another payments app for making payments.
