Great user-friendly platform

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Our overall experience with MedTrainer has been great. There are very little cons and countless pros to using their system.

Pros:

I really love how easy MedTrainer is to use and navigate for both the 'students' and the 'admins'. It makes assigning courses, training documents, and protocols super easy. Using MedTrainer as a LMS has been a great success for us.

Cons:

There are some delays in getting support from the customer service team (not all answers are received within 24-48 hours). Sometimes the system does have some lag and it can take some time to update a course, training document, or bundle. I also wish we had the opportunity to create and generate our own custom reports for analytics.

Caused More Work for my Staff and MedTrainer Would not Permit Us to Cancel Subscription

1.0 3 years ago

Comments: I would not recommend the product nor the customer service team.

Pros:

The price was better compared to other products.

Cons:

Salesperson oversold the product, did not work as we expected. We provided a 30 day cancellation notice after a few months of using it and are still STUCK in the contract after a year because Medtrainer customer service also fell way below our expectations!

MedTrainer Review

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: MedTrainer staff are extremely responsive and their turnaround time is great. They are always willing to help and stick by their word. They take feedback on their products and customize them to their customers' needs. Above all, you can feel that they genuinely care about their customers' satisfaction.

Pros:

MedTrainer is a great resource. More than that, the customer support and MedTrainer team are what make the software exceptional. They help to truly customize functions based on our needs. Among other things, we were able to transition to electronic incident reporting and ensure a speedy and simple way to deliver required annual compliance training. We are continuously evolving with MedTrainer. Our organization spans across multiple states and MedTrainer (and their team) make sure that we are well taken care of and help us to ensure uniformity within our Compliance Program.

Cons:

The cons tie into the pros. With any IT product there are bound to be issues - however, the MedTrainer team is always quick to help and ensure that it is resolved ASAP so we can return to normal operations. MedTrainer takes feedback and constructive criticism well and adapt to our needs.

Excellent Compliance Training & Document Review

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: As a Practice Manager of two busy Internal Medicine clinics, by using MedTrainer, I'm able to ensure my staff are receiving the most up to date safety training. In addition, it gives me an online central location for storing and update my important documents relating to L&I, HIPAA, Policies & Procedures, and more.

Pros:

I really like that I can make sure my entire staff has THE most up to date training in regards to CMS, OSHA, and many more that are required in the Healthcare community to ensure the safest possible environment for my staff. Safety through education.

Cons:

It's hard to assign training to new staff without involving customer support.

Not the greatest learning tool

3.0 5 years ago

Comments: Good luck with this one, I hope you have better luck then I have had with it!

Pros:

I have been in the medical education system for along time and have had to use this throughout my training. It does allow for a wide range of options for teaching the student, but overall it is frustrating and annoying to use. There has been okay customer support, but it overall doesn’t match some of the other options out there!

Cons:

It is hard to use and is very figity. It has several glitches and is not user friendly at all. It takes a big learning curve and overall is just not worth the time. It is affordable though, which is a positive.

DO NOT use this product for creditialing

1.0 3 years ago

Comments: Extremely frustrating

Pros:

The demo, which is not a true representation of the actual product

Cons:

I 100% agree with the other reviews that the salesperson oversold the product. They would tell us to input the info and then they would "make it work for us". We spent a great deal of time inputing all of the requested info, just to find out that they could not meet our expectations or needs, nor were they able to follow through with promised functionalities. We attempted to use this product for a couple of months then we decided to terminate our contract for cause and with a 30day notice. They have denied to amicably ressolve our request to terminate stating "not given the 30-day notice to cure properly" DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM......

Easy to use!

4.0 6 years ago

Comments: Really like it so far!

Pros:

MedTrainer has been very easy to use! Training notifications and videos have been easy to create, monitor and alert staff when need to be done. Easy to track who has completed their tasks and manage employee files.

Cons:

The videos are a tad generic, but they serve their purpose, and better than what we used before.

Comments: Medtrainer helps us have a transparent training program. The Tech support is friendly and helps out quickly.

Pros:

It gets my safety compliance done and I can get customer support quickly and easily.

Cons:

There are a lot of "clicks" to perform tasks. The software is slow many times. I have difficulty with having classes on auto-repeat, the system seems to get mixed up once I un-assign courses that were not complete. I would prefer to be able to make custom reports.

A Plus For Healthcare

4.0 5 years ago

Pros:

Software is kept up-to-date on current laws so one does not have to worry about ensuring that it is; there are CEUs attached to some of the trainings; program is easy to use.

Cons:

There are certain courses that need to be in place, i.e. USP 800, or HIPAA for chemical dependency practitioners that is not available.

Neutral

4.0 5 years ago

Pros:

I don't find the system to be the most intuitive. It takes a lot of conditioning to remember each specific step. However, the value is there. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] , in customer service, is great.

Cons:

UI is not the best but it does what we need, for the most part. Course catalog needs updating and improvement.

MedTrainer is a Great Compliance Product

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: Prior to Medtrainer we offered in-person training which was great. On the downside not all staff could attend the mandatory training sessions during the week especially our weekend and casual staff members. With Medtrainer we can import our own custom training unique to our clinic, we can used the basic training's as offered, and in addition it tracks the users! I can easily run reports and update leadership teams about staff who still need to finish which is super. Love the time-saving capabilities.

Pros:

Ease of use for administrator and end-user staff. I really like the functionality and the options it has to support HIPAA, SDA, Emergency Preparedness, etc. It really has expanded very nicely since we first purchased the product 3 years ago.

Cons:

There really isn't much I don't like about the software. I would recommend that when new products are released that the administrator of the software is offered an opportunity to review the information within the module for 7 to 10 days prior to purchase. Often I am busy and the presentation isn't enough since I am very hands-on.

MedTrainer Review

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: Time saving and the employees get the most current information available.

Pros:

The MedTrainer software was my answer to saving time. Before MedTrainer, I would do presentations about HIPPA, BBP, Safety, etc up to 5 times each to catch all of the employees. Now I assign the courses, set the end date, and monitor the progress of each employee. No longer does it take up my time to do presentations. I can customize the course assignments for the different departments and each employee can complete the modules on their own.

Cons:

Going from one area to another sometimes took a little longer than I would like.

Enjoy using MedTrainer for our Compliance regulations.

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Enjoy using the program. Very easy to navigate and assign courses.

Pros:

The compliance courses and CPR courses save time from employees having to miss work to complete compliance courses.

Cons:

Would like to be able to see reviewed document and policies that were assigned without having to run a report.

Enhancement

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: Our resource, (Sensitive Content Hidden), is fantastic to work with and very timely!

Pros:

I love the ability to offer courses with audio but wish it provided closed captioning.

Cons:

There are several odd things like when you go to upload an external transcript, the button states "multiple" and not single so you have to drag and drop versus opening a browser to connect to a file. I wish you could pull a report for courses and policies together. I wish the safety section would alert you when you have a document expiring.

Health Care/Risk Management LMS

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: My overall experience has been good. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] has worked to close with us to get it up and running. We have one section that we need to complete ourselves, but [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] gave us a way to get this set up.

Pros:

Available courses and the ability to record your own training.

Cons:

It would be helpful for it to tie into our HRIS software. Therefore when we hire it will feed in and when we terminate it would take them out of the system. We have to schedule

A great tool with potential

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: It's a great tool. Has some work that needs to be done to meet our expectations. But has great potential. And it makes compliance much easier and less onerous!

Pros:

The ease of pushing out training and documents or policies to be signed electronically.

Cons:

Some of the trainings need some work, edited for spelling errors even. Some of the tools are not intuitive on how to find them or where to even make a change like terminating an employee. We have had too many times where the trainings lag. But the internet on every other program we are using works. Seems to be a MedTrainer issue.

our experience

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: Ease in assigning and tracking progress, had some difficulties with reports, generally a good experience. The courses need to be updated on a regular basis. There are big gaps in my needs for education for my staff. When I inquire about them I am told I can upload my own education, but having the education set up already is what I am paying for

Pros:

ease in assigning courses and tracking them

Cons:

many things are not particularly intuitive. The reports are not titled in a way that makes it easy to choose what you are looking for

Yearly training

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: For the most part it's a good asset for us. Some bugs still need to be worked out, but we like it.

Pros:

Its pretty easy to go through once a year, and online is much better than paper.

Cons:

System not letting you move to the next section, and when completing a section it shows not done!!
