Great benefit and easy to use platform with lots of room to grow

Comments: We have been greatly satisfied with Givebutter. The zero fees and complete data transparency have put us in the drivers seat with our online fundraising initiatives. Using Givebutter has dramatically increased our online fundraising potential. We are eager to keep this product in our arsenal of tools in the work ahead of us.

Pros:

Givebutter is easy to use, has lots of great features, and gives you control over your data. It also doesn't require a barge or boatload of cash to get started. Givebutter has a great team of specialists ready and willing to help you through your initial configuration as well as your ongoing work with the platform.

Cons:

There are no drawbacks. We are eager to see what new features Givebutter continues to implement to make its communication with other platforms common in the space as seamless and easy as its current complement of offerings. We are also eager to see FORM applications grow so we can retired other solutions we have entirely. We are working hard to earn enough annual dollars to afford custom URLS and the giving hub. Two great features we are eager to implement as WE grow.

We have tried everything and Givebutter is just what we need!

Comments: I highly recommend working with them. We had initially used etapestry for the first few years, it was clunky and expensive. We moved to Aplos and enjoyed our time, but they introduced many features, many of which didn't work well. The accounting feature didn't synch with the donor management side and it was also clunky. We began to look elsewhere. At the direction of our bookkeeper, we sampled Planning Center (users literally hated it) and Subsplash, and neither were good for non-profits (both wanted $ and for users to use an app/login to give). Finally, we looked into Pushpay - which is super user friendly, but expensive. We are thrilled with Givebutter, it suits our non-profit needs perfectly and our donors LOVE it.

Pros:

At the risk of sounding like Goldilocks, for us Givebutter is 'just right'. It is free and easy to use. Givebutter is constantly updating and adding new features.

Cons:

The event and sign-up modules could be more robust. That said, they're actively working on this.

The program let us down in the middle of our event!

Comments: I do not believe that we will continue services for our event next year however, we'd like to talk about what went wrong to help it from happening to others.

Pros:

It was so easy to set up auction items.

Cons:

it stopped reacting when everyone was checking out! It also wouldn't let us assign live auction items to the winners nor would it let us add raise the paddle donors to the program to be charged!

Free Platform not so Free, but enables us to do many things we couldn't before

Comments: Customer service is excellent! Whenever we have questions, they are answered in a very responsive way.

Pros:

We have used Givebutter less than 6 months. The best thing we use so far is the ability to email tickets to event purchasers with a QR code to scan and admit them to a concert. We used to print out list of ticket purchasers and check them off a list when they arrived.

Cons:

What I discovered is that for events, although we sign no contracts and paid no money to use the platform, Givebutter charges a fee of from 1%-5%. We also chose this platform because it does enable users to have an on-line auction. Gala tickets and auction fees are going to make this a very expensive platoform, but hopefully, after our event is over (March 2024), we will see how much of these fees donors pay and how much the platform actually costs.

The future of fundraising platforms

Comments: I have been so happy using Givebutter. Everyone I worked with has been on top of it, answering all of my questions. It has been a wonderful experience so far.

Pros:

I searched many different platforms and was disappointed in what I was finding as it looked outdated, was not user friendly and had a high price tag. When I found Givebutter, everything changed. It was updated to tech standards of 2024 and had a visually pleasing interface. I was so happy with the customer service, maneuverability of the site and the endless integrations and options.

Cons:

As a new site, there are still a few items within the auction platform that need updating. We have a paddle raise and are looking for an easier way to charge guests after the auction.
