"Trucker's Helper" in deed!

Comments: I started my trucking company in 2010 as a one truck owner operator with my own authority. I evaluated different trucking/accounting programs and decided to try Trucker's Helper and am I ever glad I did. Trucker's Helper is an all in one trucking and accounting program that is all you will need whether you are a company driver, owner operator, fleet or broker. Over the past six years I've went from a one truck owner operator to multiple trucks and brokering loads to contractors. Trucker's Helper allowed me to expand my software capability as needed and covers the accounting and reporting requirements of IFTA, KYU, and IRP.

Pros:

I like the fact that Trucker's Helper is a one stop shop in that it covers every aspect of trucking from dispatch, maintenance, accounting, personnel, IFTA, IRP, KYU, payroll and etc. Also, the customer service provided through the Priority Support option is phenomenal. John, the developer of Trucker's Helper, goes above and beyond to help you resolve any issues you may have using Trucker's Helper from figuring out the proper way to enter a complex accounting issue or solving a functionality issue with Trucker's Helper. For example, I had a technical issue arise late on a Friday night. I was locked out of the program and thought I had lost all of my data. I was in a state of panic. I submitted a Technical Support Request Form online late on a Friday night. Late afternoon on Sunday, I received a phone call, it was John. He spent the next hour or so doing a remote repair to get me back up and running. Now that is customer support!

Cons:

Not a thing.

Former Dispatcher who Implemented the Progam

Comments: love love love this software

Pros:

love love loved this software. The only thing bad I ever had to say about this program is that i hated the way you had to do the logs on this system it reminded me of the golden days with jj keller. However the stand alone version use to have a Safety and COmpliance feature on it for when the DOt first started to crackdown on Safety issues. It was absolutely wonderful. However the Online version did not come with this feature. There is a brokers module that comes with the brogram as well in both versions but you have to be under the fleet programs to get it if still available. The only thing bad I could ever say about it is that use to the Qinks that needed to be worked out when the product was new you could rarely get anyone on the phone. I have used both versions of this program. I now own my own fleet and brokerage and I am seriously considering getting it over the new TMS systems. The only this it doesnt have that they do is lead contacts....... I know they got bought ourt a few years ago and i actually spoke to the new [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and he was very nice. I have 20 years exp with it.

ITS FINE I GUESS

Comments: The program is fine. It does what it is supposed to do but man it is so freaking temperamental and slow. There are so many time I go to run a report and and it sits on the loading screen and sits and sits then finally pops up but instead of the report it shows the main program screen. I am entering the routing it sits there waiting to bring up the stupid zip code. And then waiting for the zip codes to enter in the system. Once you figure out some the tricks the program is fairly easy to use. But I do not feel like the support is terrible. The manual gives no useful information, the video tutorials never seem to cover what I need in any reasonable amount of time. And having to email and wait for a day or more to get a response sucks. For the record I am doing this review to try and avoid another price increase, at the same time if the cost gets much higher I am moving my company to a different program because this one will cease to be worth the headache.

Speed is generally more a matter of your connection speed than the speed of the program. Have you checked your internet speed? Support request are generally answered within a few hours and always the same day. If you are waiting a 'day or more' then something is wrong on your end as the answer is never a 'day or more' in being sent. If you have a suggestion to improve the service without raising the cost (to hire more people - I haven't found any support reps who want to work for free) I'd love to hear your suggestions. Good Product

Comments: We use this product daily and outside of the report section this product is very good.

Pros:

Easy to use. Great accounting software.

Cons:

Reports are not what the desk tops had. Really need to work on that.

We are adding new reports as they are requested rather than just decide on our own what reports users need. To optain a new report just click the CONTACT US at the bottom of any page and fill out the form that comes up with details on the report you need.

Does everything I need to manage my trucking business.

Comments: does everything I need to get done and stay on top of our business

Pros:

Complete, affordable package. They also help with management question, not just how to use the program. Great service.

Cons:

No free phone support like I used to have with the standalone program. You have to pay per incident with the new online service.
