On the one hand it provides a basic structure, effectively a family tree format to create a plan. It is such a simple concept, to allow a "branching out" of your plan. This in turn will align, empower and enable delegation. Any organisation with a shared goal will welcome these dynamics. On the other hand, although this basic structure is simple, it also allows a group to build a completely tailored plan. A plan which can be detailed, complex, multi-faceted and evolving. In this sense, you can use the software to varying degrees. Simply to track the basics at the "top" of the plan. Or drill down into the detail, keeping everything connected along the way. Through trial and error, I have found that the more people whom are involved and the more your organisation puts into Strategy Blocks, the more it will give back to you. > > **Cons**: It's not particularly simple to use. In that it is not intuitive. If your plan becomes lengthy, the navigation features do the job, but inevitably there is some wandering around whilst you get familiar with the interfaces. That said, implementing and delivering a strategic plan is a complex process and this program can handle it. > > The reason for acquiring Strategy Blocks was to get away from huge spreadsheets which we were using to track business plan progress. However, the unexpected benefit of adopting Strategy Blocks has been of greater value. We have seen greater engagement in our shared purpose, more alignment between staff and managers have the confidence to empower and delegate.
