AWS who?.....

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: Spinning up virtual environments and hosting software for clients and we use cold and hot storage for clients servers and backs with azure as they offer some of the best storage rates as compared to AWS. We can also spin up virtual domain and active directories for our clients to remove the heat and maintenance from small facilities on the edge of their environment that might not have a dedicated space for IT. Allowing us to now only offsite the IT but also the infrastructure.

Pros:

I have found the best use for Azure is to off site the IT hardware for infrastructure, So now IT can not only have the team off site but now that off site team doesn't have to worry about the servers being touched by employees messing around in the network closets.Allowing entire companies to be managed off site.

Cons:

Price on VMs, non transparent price, ease to setup redundancy...

Comments: Microsoft Azure is a powerful and versatile cloud platform offering a variety of advantages and has extensive service offerings but requires careful planning and management to fully leverage its capabilities.

Pros:

Microsoft Azure is highly available, scalable and secure platform. It is very cost-effective, we can only pay for what we use, which significantly reduced our IT costs. It seamlessly integrated with other Microsoft products.

Cons:

Managing Azure services can be complex with cloud expert staff. It can be expensive if not managed properly and optimized for efficiency. It is dependent on internet connectivity.

Good but expensive.

Comments: Overall an extremely powerful and well integrated service. With the right licensing you can build and operate a well moving and redundant system.

Pros:

Lots of quick integrations and prebuilt features for bringing on other tools and building a microsoft based stack.

Cons:

Hidden pay walls with various pieces of services hidden behind tiering and no good definition of what goes where.
