Reviews of BrowserStack

Best Product Design and Testing Platform!
Comments: My overall experience with BrowserStack is great, I still remember when I first integrated with Browser stack, and saw the standalone remote test run 5 years back! It was so cool!
Pros:
Its a great tool for web and mobile based applications, where I need to test various devices. Comes in handy with all the configurations, well documented about the usage. For a beginner to expert, its a very good tool!
Cons:
Sometimes I noticed minor bugs, like the same build from CI runs twice. So they can be better tested before releases.
Robust cross-browser testing software
Comments: My experience with BrowserStack has been quite positive overall. It stands out for its robust cross-browser testing capabilities and the convenience of accessing real devices remotely. The platform’s interface is generally user-friendly, and it supports a wide range of browsers and operating systems, which is great for ensuring compatibility across different environments.
Pros:
BrowserStack is a really handy tool for testing websites and apps across different devices and browsers. What I like most about it is its ability to provide real-time testing on actual devices rather than emulators. This can give you a much more accurate picture of how your site or app will perform in the wild. Plus, the ease of access to a wide range of devices and configurations can really streamline the development process and help catch issues early. Have you used BrowserStack yourself, or are you considering it for a project
Cons:
One area where BrowserStack might have room for improvement is in the performance of its live testing feature. Sometimes, users report that the interaction can feel a bit laggy or slow, especially when dealing with high-traffic sites or complex application
Overall feedback
Comments: Overall, my experience has been good. Sometimes there are some annoying bugs, but I'm glad you guys are introducing new features. The custom data range filtering will be a game changer for my team.
Pros:
Some features are nice, such as being able to add subfolders, importing test cases from CSV files, and filtering by custom date range (FINALLY), dragging and dropping test cases (this is extremely helpful; we would like to see the same functionality applied in test cases inside of a test run.
Cons:
REPORTS. 1. It would be nice if we could filter reports by tags 2. It would be nice to create a report from all the projects instead of only individual ones Test runs: 1. It would be nice if we could also drag and drop the test cases inside a test run 2. It would also be a game changer if we could filter test runs by tags. My team and I would love to use tags a bit more, but at the moment, we feel its usage is pretty limited.
Alternatives Considered:
Good to have as a Test management and Testing Platform.
Comments: I tried to explore it more and more but due to limit, my access was limited at times.
Pros:
Ease of Access to multiple devices at the same time.
Cons:
It only offers free min for a very little limited time.
Alternatives Considered:
Browser Stack - The all-in-one testing solution
Comments: It is good so far. Will be exploring Live, Automate, Test Management and other side of it.
Pros:
App Live and App Automate. Will be exploring Live and Automate for WEB.
Cons:
No such con to mention as such. I would like the team to work on APP Performance Testing which can share App metrics(Device metrics like memory, cpu, battery etc) along with ui rendering time and api response times.
Alternatives Considered:
BrowserStack, your guaranteed path to ROI
Comments: Using BrowserStack has been a game changer for the many teams that I've led in different organizations who chose to subscribe, it provides guaranteed ROI and great bang for the buck, in addition to all the amazing technical features that allowed all my teams to use it effectively and efficiently. And of course to me personally as an open-source contributor, being able to test my open source project against any device or OS I can think of has been a great help to identifying and fixing issues as fast as possible. Especially after integrating BrowserStack in my GitHub Actions pipelines.
Pros:
The variety of devices, ease of use, API integration, and the openness of the support team to share any needed information.
Cons:
Honestly, there's nothing I don't like about BrowserStack.
Alternatives Considered:
Great for quick access to multiple platforms for the team

Pros:
It's very easy to invite team members to the account to allow us to keep the flow of development and testing going in various browsers in both macOS and Windows.
Cons:
We have 5 licenses, however 1 is always reserved for the account holder and 1 is always reserved for the admin. These 2 people rarely use this, so we really only have 3 usable licenses to share.

Browserstack gives wings to the testers
Comments:
I can only say about the browserstack pros rather than one con which is price related.
Pros:
1- multiple cloud hosted devices to target multiple devices for wide range of testing.
2- parallel testing with selenium grid.
3- Jenkin setup is on tip with few clicks.

Pros:
Browserstack help in parallel execution and targeting wide varierty of devices for quality testing of mobile and web applications. It supports almost all available frameworks where the jenkin jobs linking becomes easier.
Cons:
It's quite expensive but worth of using it. Documentations has to be more crisp.
Easy Access to multiple devices
Pros:
I found BrowserStack incredibly beneficial due to its easy access to a wide range of devices for both Android and iOS platforms. As a developer, having seamless access to multiple devices directly from my browser significantly streamlines my testing process. This accessibility ensures that I can efficiently test and debug applications across various devices without the need for physical hardware, saving both time and resources. BrowserStack's intuitive interface and extensive device coverage make it an indispensable tool in my development toolkit.
Cons:
One of the drawbacks I experienced with BrowserStack is the need to repeatedly log in to the app stores, particularly when a session expires. This can be somewhat inconvenient, especially during longer testing sessions where frequent logins interrupt the workflow. It would be more efficient if there was an option to maintain these credentials securely over multiple sessions or at least extend the session duration to reduce the number of logins required. Despite this, the overall benefits of the platform still outweigh this minor inconvenience.
