Switched from Asana and had a much better experience - easy to use and great if you want a very flexible tool that can help across different areas of the business.
Pros:
Great for customisation and lots of integrations make it a wonderful tool for work and team management. And new features are rolled out regularly so it gets better over time.
Cons:
The time tracking and reporting dashboard (timesheet) could be better.

"A Powerful Tool If You’re Ready to Dive In Fully"

Overall, my experience with ClickUp was that it’s a really powerful and flexible tool once you get the hang of it. It’s easy to start off with for basic tasks and setting up your week, and you can get a good flavour of it with the free version. That said, it does have a bit of a learning curve because it offers so many features. And like many users have noted, you really get the most out of it if you decide to go all in and integrate it fully into your processes. The free version is more of a starting point, and you’ll eventually need to commit if you want to unlock its full potential. So in summary, it’s a strong tool if you’re ready to embrace it fully.
Pros:
I found ClickUp really intuitive and easy to use for all the basics. It made collaborating with my team simple, allowing us to assign and manage tasks seamlessly. I also appreciated its AI features, which added a nice boost to handling tasks. Overall, its strength in task and project management stood out and made the whole experience really effective.
Cons:
While ClickUp was easy to set up for the basics, its wide range of features could feel a bit overwhelming. In other words, its strength was also a bit of a weakness, because there were so many layers that it took some time to really get to grips with how everything worked. Another downside was running into paywalls fairly quickly. You’d see what you wanted to do, but then you’d hit an upgrade prompt, which could be a bit limiting.

I think since we have started using Clickup, my time management has improved and we have been able to keep track of what I am working on. It also makes it easier to check jobs you have worked on, when completing timesheets and estimating times on new jobs.
Pros:
Click is a great way to manage your workflow and projects. It is a good way to plan your week ahead and allocate time to jobs and projects.
Cons:
I think the closed jobs list is very slow to open and it loads in too many jobs. It would be better if it only loaded in a certain number of your latest jobs that you had closed.

I would recommed ClickUp to organisations who are looking for a single platform to consolidate systems that have been traditionally split across multiple platforms (email, Teams, Slack, Project Management tools, record/registers, document repositories) etc. and are comfortable with trading the risks of "all eggs in one basket" for the huge benefits of a single consolidated workspace.
Pros:
The ClickUp interface is intuitive and easy to begin working with straight out of the box. The hierarchical model is easy to understand and uses language that makes sense without a significant amount of learning. The AI Brain tool makes using parts of the platform even more enjoyable, creating content templates to get you started. The ClickUp University course made a real difference, and both Novice and Expert certificates can be completed in a day, setting you up with the knowledge needed to get going.
Cons:
I am yet to find anything I don't enjoy using with ClickUp. My experience as a short-term (3 months) user has been overwhelmingly positive.

Purchase, customer service, updates, investment and intuiative usablity it gets top marks. Because the version inwas using didn't have much AI going on (2023-2024) if I left it too long then updating became too much of a chore. Which is certainly my issue not ClickUps.
Pros:
I loved the detail and customiseability of the entire platform. I'd previously mapped out my core processes and it was intuitive to put them into projects and tasks and assign times etc. When everything was set up and out of my head ClickUp felt like it could manage everything and as I worked, I updated, so everything was visibly on track (or not) and nothing was forgotten. Thats a lot of peace of mind.
Cons:
The heavier in detail I went, the more it needed updating and attention. I had a period a couple of months in where for whatever reason i stopped using it and cracked on with a busy period and when I came back to it, there was far too much time required to go through all the projects etc so it kind of fizzled out. If there is a team of you, and someone other than the owner becomes the champion of ClickUp I can see this being a game changer.
