Take it from an Advertising Professional — Newswire is the Real Deal!

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: Clean, clear and comfortable. Couldn't have asked for a smoother process. I'll certainly be using Newswire in the future.

Pros:

Time is the most valuable currency we all have in our day-to-day professional and personal lives. Newswire helps my team simplify our public relations strategies and meet hard deadlines with ease. Because of Newswire, we are better able to serve our clients and produce impactful results.

Cons:

Not much to say about not liking this product. I'm a big believer in, "you get what you pay for," and this is a quality product, hands-down.

News distribution

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: Newswire helped us figure out a way to distribute news across the organization!

Pros:

We use Newswire at our organization to distribute press releases to all of our employees. Its an automated tool that works well.

Cons:

Currently, we do not have any cons from using Newswire. It has done an excellent job of getting press releases and alerts out to our employees.

Decent Press Release Service

3.0 6 years ago

Comments: I will use press releases from time to time and test out different companies. Newswire was good but, ultimately, none of the companies deliver much traffic. It's important to go into a subscription with the proper expectations (as I did).

Pros:

The only feature I needed was the press release feature. The site is clean and easy-to-use and delivers on what I signed up for.

Cons:

I don't like paying for features I don't use so it would be nice to have a basic PR plan. Also, press releases rarely have the expected return (goes for all services).

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: I needed to get an important press release out quickly and to as many channels as possible. Newswire allowed me to get the job done efficiently and successfully.

Pros:

Newswire is so convenient and easy to use. It makes press release distribution a breeze.

Cons:

I can't think of any thing I don't like about it.

Great SEO Boost

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: I was able to easily set up my press release on the very first one. The features included in the package worked well. The day after publishing the press release we saw an immediate and large boost to our website traffic and it has now been sustained for 7 days bringing great awareness to our new products. Our company will be purchasing a package of press releases to lower the cost.

Pros:

The Newswire software is very easy to use and isn't glitchy like some other PR services. I was able to easily add my in text hyperlinks, images and videos.

Cons:

I did not have any issues with the software.

Good for PR distribution

4.0 4 years ago

Comments: Overall Newswire is good for PR distribution. They make it easy to post in one place and distribute everywhere.

Pros:

This is very easy to use and fast to train someone who doesn’t have the background on how to use it.

Cons:

I didn’t like the price point. But you’re stuck with it if you want to push out press releases easily.

Incredibly straightforward and easy to use. Pretty much essential in PR

5.0 7 years ago

Pros:

First, for the price, absolutely nothing can beat it. Everything is right on the front page when you log in and it is incredibly easy to navigate. All the big hitting stories are compiled right there for you!

Cons:

I would really like it if you could compile a list of news and stories and export it straight from the website to an excel document or something along those lines.

Cons:

That sometimes the journalist are not accurate.

Great process, not a ton of result

5.0 6 years ago

Pros:

Fast and easy to use, customer service was great and very helpful.

Cons:

We didn't get much bang for the buck. It was fairly expensive and not a lot of coverage.

Great Resource for News Distribution

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: My overall experience with Newswire has been fantastic.

Pros:

Newswire is an effective tool that makes sending our press releases seamless. The tool also allows one to track distribution very well.

Cons:

The service can be a little pricey. Many items add up. Wish there was a way to receive more discounts.

Good for State or Regional Releases

4.0 6 years ago

Comments: Depending on the package, Newswire provides satisfactory coverage for a lower price than other platforms.

Pros:

State and regional releases are sent through PR Newswire (Cision), which I've found to achieve the highest-quality pickups. Newswire nickels and dimes less than PR Newswire (but sends through the same platform), and Newswire's customer service is phenomenal.

Cons:

One of our releases mentioned a public company, and so Newswire sent it through Accesswire instead of Cision. We were picked up by fewer outlets and the quality was lower.

Easy team to work with!

4.0 6 years ago

Pros:

Newswire is easy to work with, responsive and timely in PR distribution.

Cons:

Some distribution packages are not available online and an email is required to purchase. Selecting distribution channels at times need Newswire (human) intervention to understand what is included.

Newswire Is An Effective Distributor of PR

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: Used this service to announce several innovations. I believe the impact was minimal, but I felt like the Newswire service did get the messages out.

Pros:

Easy to use. Seems to have multiple avenues for distribution. The quality of response is driven by the news value of your efforts.

Cons:

At times i felt like I was sending info out and had no clue of its impact. Better tracking would be appreciated.

It has a great look for social media and blog updates.

5.0 8 years ago

Pros:

The look of the profile is great. Being able to add multiple business and press releases. It is great to have everything showing in one place.

Cons:

It can be hard to find where to update things on the left sidebar. I had trouble finding customization as I thought it would be under company

Easy to use and priced right

5.0 6 years ago

Pros:

Newswire is one of the only wire services that offers single distribution that isn't crazy expensive. Their process is very easy to navigate and their pricing is transparent.

Cons:

The delay in approvals for press releases once they are submitted.

Newswire Editorial Staff Should Reevaluate Its Guidelines

1.0 5 years ago

Pros:

I was not able to use the software because of the editorial staff.

Cons:

After spending time crafting, editing, and posting my press release, Newswire editorial staff rejected it as not being newsworthy. Immediately afterwards, I was contacted by a travel reporter for Today who published a story later that week, which led to stories on CNN and Fox, which led to articles all over the world and numerous radio and TV interviews. Clearly, the editorial staff that deemed my story to be "not newsworthy" was wildly incorrect.

Easy To Use and Targeting Specific Industries Is Useful

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: It is a simple step by step program to get the press release distributed to hundreds of outlets so you don't have to know very much about newswire to get started.

Pros:

I liked targeting specific industries for our press release. This allowed me to experiment with different segments of our target market.

Cons:

The cost of targeting specific states was too expensive compared to nationwide. Unfortunately, since our target market is only in 8 states, there was a lot of news in markets we don't currently influence.

Streamlined Press Release distribution

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: Newswire has streamlined the process of distributing our press releases, and has done so at a fraction of the cost of other services

Pros:

The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, with the most important information available right on the front page. And for the price, I'd say it's definitely the best option out there

Cons:

It would be nice to have a function that would allow me to export a list of articles to Excel or another program for easy reporting.

Cost efficient

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: Very positive and a good value for the money.

Pros:

We got the word out about our acquisition on a cash constrained budget, which was awesome. The prices charged at other firms would have just been too exhorbitant. And we still got some great coverage.

Cons:

We didn't necessarily get all the coverage we'd like and it could have been made easier to track results.

Excellent Experience

5.0 5 years ago

Pros:

It was mostly straight-forward from beginning to end. It was easy to get what I needed to say formatted and put in a readable post. The follow-up about potential deals in the future was an added benefit. We saw an increase in site traffic after using Newswire and have a potential to acquire new customers.

Cons:

Very minor details such as customization of spacing in the post. Mostly positive experience.

Newswire Review

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: love it. works well.

Pros:

Ease of use, simple to use, did I mention you don't need a Ph.D from MIT to use this? easy, works and does what I need it to do. The add ons are a nice touch.

Cons:

Some of the add ons are a bit too much -- maybe just bundle a couple for a different price.
