Reviews of DISCO
Solid Review Software
Comments: The coding functions of this platform are great. Reviewers can easily add tags using shortcuts, and combination shortcuts can be created (i.e. Relevant / Not Privileged). The copy from previous tagging ability allows users to select whether to copy tags, comments, privilege notes, or to copy all of it. Additionally, users can see all previously assigned batches on their check-out page. One odd feature is that the link to the assigned users batch is not in a prominent location on the homepage. A few user-friendly tweaks and this platform could really be something special.
Pros:
The best things about this software are on the document coding screen. You can easily see related and family documents on the review screen, and can see how they've been tagged. Documents can easily be shared via a link sent through email, or a notification within the system.
Cons:
As a user, being able to view the document list within the coding screen in invaluable. However, this function is not available in Disco. Additionally, the search functions are a bit convoluted. In an attempt to streamline the search functions, there are some glaring difficulties -- searching within an assigned batch is not as comprehensive as searching the entire database of documents and you cannot search by a specific batch.
Very user-friendly, greatly increased speed of doc reviews and productions.
Pros:
Navigation through the databases, ease of ingestion, quick and informed responses from customer support and project managers.
Cons:
Cannot resize filter side box, hard to navigate through document families in non-reviewer mode, no options to include disco IDs on downloaded documents without batch printing.
Awesome experience
Pros:
The company's people actually know what they are talking about. They understand litigation, ESI, and document review. Do yourself a favor and arrange a demo with them. It will blow your mind.
