Filing done easily

Comments: We have used this program for 7 or more years. One year in those 7 we tried to use another program that was recommended by our POS reps, that was a mistake. They messed up so many things and couldn't seem to figure out how to efile. I finally just got Accountability again and had it done in 2 days (compared to the almost 3 weeks we were fighting it on the other system).

Pros:

-Variety of filings available in one program -Accessibility of electronic filing -Guidance on proper filing techniques

Cons:

There is a lot of information on how to fill out the forms, but it can be really confusing and you need to understand programming a little. Once you have done it though it is pretty easy. Just the first time importing the file was a struggle for me.

Great support!

Pros:

The support staff is very helpful whenever I have questions and went the extra mile to help me get started with e-filing 1099s for the first time last year, including supporting me with getting a TCC. The written instructions are clear and walking through the process with support made learning the process so easy!

Cons:

The pricing for the number of returns I need to file (<100) is steep.

End result is acceptable

Comments: I appreciate it producing an acceptable end result and producing a fire.gov type file for easy upload. It does not produce an acceptable Oregon e-file file type. That is worth quite a bit. I do not like that I need to download an entire new program every year and set up a new client - this should be one program that maintains all filing years that I have purchased. The ease of use of this product leaves a lot to be desired.

Pros:

The end result helps us meet the filing requirements

Cons:

1. You have to make an entire new client to produce a corrected 1099 statement 2. Every year is a new program - I would like it to be a single program that hosts all of the years. 3. Update it to look more modern - this survey looks better than Account Ability. 4. Create/offer as an upgrade acceptable state e-file type files

BEST 1099 REPORTING SOFTWARE AVAILABLE

Comments: Couldn't be much better. Support always available and competent. See reasons above!

Pros:

Not internet based. Installs on own office computer. Most detailed, complete instructions possible; they work! Excellent customer support if needed. Can do amendments. Easy transition from year to year.

Cons:

Rather difficult navigation, but once learned, no problem.

Effective and Efficient

Comments: I am very pleased with AA. I will definitely continue to use the software. Also, the staff is very helpful. they are very knowledgeable about the software. I have never had any problems. very friendly.

Pros:

I like that Accountability is effective and efficient in workflow. I have been using the software for years now and at first, I didn't understand how to use it because I was using a different software that didn't offer as nearly all of the functions as AA but now, I am happy that the corporation has switched.

Cons:

Pricy but I figured with all specs/functions of AA we would not have. It's good to have all functions in one place.
