simple, reliable, helpful, and accessible software!

Comments: It is a great and modern way to help a company to manage and recruit employees onsite and online.

Pros:

I love how us employees can simply make schedules and track time. It also helps companies on thier payrolls and recruiting.

Cons:

It has a little problem on first time logging in on this software. I hope they have a solution for that.

Easy Team Management!

Comments: I love everything about this app! I can make a schedule from my phone or computer, adjust hours/tips etc. This platform is top notch!

Pros:

Easy to navigate, manage employee shifts, communicate with the team...it's a no brainer! Use it, you will not regret it!

Cons:

Not much really. Pretty intuitive to navigate.

I regret purchasing Homebase

Comments: We are on the essentials plan. We have 45 employees. some of those employees are able to do more than 1 job. some of those jobs are a higher paying position (like bartender vs busboy) When you hire a bartender at $15 per hour, if that bartender picks up a job as a busboy at $10 per hour - the software won't allow you have that bartender get paid at $10 unless you upgrade to their "plus" plan. What was not explained was why this just became an issue in december 2023 and was not an issue when we onboarded all employees in september. for that reason - i will not be renewing and will be sourcing a new sofrware. if i'm going to pay a higher cost, it wont be for the lack of customer service i've recieved to date. i'll gladly update this review if the team can fix my issue but based on the customer service response i've seen so far...i dont see that happening without me making some noise.

Pros:

The price was better than our old provider, wheniwork but maybe it turns out that you get what you pay for?

Cons:

Customer service is very limited in what they are willing to say or do and you dont have a rep or salesperson other than when they first try to take your money and get you to sign up. I've sent messages for support or attempted to call or email my old rep that signed me up that went unanswered. When they have been answered - its been covered in technical jargon instead of a simple "yes you can do that by doing this or no, thats not available on your plan.

Comments: My overall experience with Homebase has been outstanding. It has streamlined our operations and boosted team productivity significantly.

Pros:

I absolutely love how Homebase simplifies scheduling and time tracking. The intuitive interface makes it easy to manage my team's shifts and communicate effectively.

Cons:

Sometimes the mobile app can be a bit slow or glitchy, which can be frustrating when I'm on the go. I also wish there were more customization options for reports.

Comments: Has been positive, easy to use and have not had many issues

Pros:

Relatively easy to use, color coded which is helpful

Cons:

When you change an employee's shift dept for that day it does not change the color for you.

Scheduling that Works

Pros:

The scheduling and the timeclock feature.

Cons:

The shift reminders can be a lot somedays, but I am not sure if I turned that feature off or if it went away. It is no longer a problem.

Comments: After using it with our restaurant staff, our golf staff decided to use this as well, after hearing how easy it was to use and set up.

Pros:

We like that our employees can be notified of schedule changes quickly, and they have the ability to trade shifts.

Cons:

Homebase is one of the best business tools we have

Comments: Having scheduling, time tracking, payroll, tax filing, workers comp insurance and audits all in one place is a lifesaver.

Pros:

It's been a valuable tool for being able to use historical sales data to decide how many employees to schedule on any given day. It helps me budget wages accurately.

Cons:

Some functionality is clunky with too many steps, occasionally we have problems with the time clock, geolocation doesn't work.

i've been using homebase for at least 10 years, and it is the very best. it's so very user-friendly, and the features are top-notch. i'm a huge fan.

Cons:

there's nothing i dislike about homebase, and if i did, they listen to their clients and add/improve features regularly.

Comments: We implemented Homebase to track our employees' hours for payroll. Each person has their own profile and can easily clock in and out. We are running the free version which is all we need at this time. Would definitely recommend.

Pros:

We love the simplicity of tracking time by the click of a button. Homebase automatically adds the hours in real-time, so compiling for payroll is simple.

Cons:

We were looking for an app to run on an iPad, but this doesn't exist. The "app" is basically just a mobile version of the website. A functioning app would take this software to the next level.

Pros:

Very easy to add/remove employees, set up user roles, schedule time. There's nothing to NOT like about using Homebase!

Cons:

I haven't found anything about using Homebase that I don't like! Hard to believe, but it's true!

Pros:

Everything! From the ease of use, all the way into how easily we could manage/edit/change everything! I have honestly been on both sides of using this app, within the health / home care settings! It’s great all the way around, from both points of view!

Homebase for time tracking and time sheet approval

Comments: I can strongly recommend Homebase for a small organization looking for a straightforward timekeeping system. Additionally, Homebase has a significant number of additional features for organizations who are looking for a all-in-one solution.

Pros:

Homebase has a straightforward interface that anyone can learn quickly. The ability for employees and managers to access timesheets via an online portal and also via a smartphone app makes Homebase very convenient to use.

Cons:

We pair Homebase with another payroll system. The integration between the two was easy to set up initially, but we have had some challenges getting new employee data to synchronize properly.

Cons:

FREE Scheduling / Messaging

Comments: Have been blessed with the ability to utilize a free app that allows me to schedule crew members & allows them to message each other if schedules need to change. Our volunteer ambulance agency also frequently holds training for other departments, meaning that I can add crew members/roles while I have students & then can remove them once classes are completed. Other apps that I have used had caps on the number of persons allowed to be added & even after deleting a person they still counted on the total number, meaning I couldn't add anybody else.

Pros:

Allows volunteer ambulance team members to communicate & monitor schedule on the go. If an emergency happens we can communicate with each other remotely.

Cons:

Messages are at times delayed. I don't "blame" Homebase due to the quality of our cell service in our area has been poor the past few months.

Flexible Scheduling App

Comments: I love having Homebase as a tool and will continue to use it as long as it continues to meet the needs of our business.

Pros:

Homebase saves me so much time by giving me ease to use tools to help build employee schedules and communicate with staff members.

Cons:

I wish there were another tier below the PLUS plan and above the base plan. I feel that I have to pay for many features I don't need to get a few extra that I do need.

Comments: I have always enjoyed Homebase because it does all that i need it to do and more. I know as i grow as a business that I will grow into homebase even more . Which makes me feel comfortable using Homebase knowing that I wont have to find another program its all right there. Everything you need.

Pros:

That I can see when my staff is working and I can talk to them personally or in a group. And i can easily know when they missed a clock in or out.

Cons:

There's really nothing that I do not like.
