Overall, my experience has been positive. Despite the fact that there is no out-of-the-box GUI IDE, there are code samples available which helped me develop my own, which I could tailor to my specific requirements.
The support from Combit is fantastic, as it the help from the user forums.
Pros:
It's flexibility. The fact that it can connect to multiple data sources or none.
Cons:
There is no GUI report generator, no IDE. This has to be coded.

Comments: We use this as a print module in our win32 application for many years, and we are almost fully satisfied

configuration of print templates is sometimes complicated and not so intuitive

LL as document generator in finance sector
Pros:
Consistent document layout, no checking required. Formula editor is very well structured and most useful.
Cons:
Sometimes you need "tricks". But the forum is great and you always get useful hints and suggstions.
LL in library software
Pros:
Many many many functions, huge set of export formatsWide possibilities of output options
Cons:
Sometimes very complicated set up in designerAs a programmer - it would be nice to have an array support - because in some cases I don't know how many repetitions of fields I would need
LL is perfect for every report I needed so far!
Comments: Complex Bills and settlements with graphic elements, automated mails.
Pros:
Easy to use and design reports, include graphics, handling of very large reports > 1000 pages.
Cons:
Not missing anything so far... - sorry no more words to get the minimum of characters!
