Very pleased with EmailOctopus!

Comments: I have used EmailOctopus for a few years now. I send emails a few times per year to my client base, and a separate email to my referral sources. It's very easy to design an attractive looking email, and then to track who opens it and what they click on.

Pros:

For my level of usage this service is free and has all the sophistication I need.

Cons:

There is nothing I dislike, other than when I mention it to others they haven't heard of it!

Great Email Option

Comments: It's free for us right now and has been easy to use. I can have an email ready to go out in just a few minutes. It's also easy to see my reports and see who has opened and clicked on our emails.

Pros:

It's easy to use and right now, we have everything we need in the free version.

Cons:

I haven't figured out yet how to manage my email subscribers efficiently. There's a few I would like to remove (obviously outside the US for a US company, haven't opened an email in years, etc). Last time I tried, it took longer than I wanted.

Easy, helpful, and very reasonably priced!

Comments: I've tried email marketing platforms that were expensive and much more difficult to set up. EmailOctopus has everything you need, in a very clean user interface and very reasonable pricing.

Pros:

Email Octopus is SO EASY to use. I had campaigns up and running quickly, and I have very little prior email marketing experience. Easy, but still powerful, with great reporting, and outstanding customer service (the product didn't need help, I did).

Cons:

I honestly can't think of any cons. Some may not like that there are fewer design templates than some email marketing systems provide. Personally, I consider that a plus, as there's less to wade through. Plus, it's quite simple to design your own.

Excellent support, professional & friendly service

Comments: My overall experience has been easy and smooth, and everyone I've had contact with has been knowledgable and helpful.

Pros:

Excellent and personal responsiveness by the support team. Elegant interface and easy to use. The team has their eye on the details and stays up to date with data privacy matters, which takes the stress out of my email communications.

Cons:

Payment options are limited to credit cards, but that was easily accounted for, and when I changed payment options it was seamless.

Forget mailchimp! Team Octopus

Comments: Everything has been simple to use and figure out. I was super happy to find a company that wasn't going to charge me insane prices to send 6 emails a year.

Pros:

I like the pricing. I do not have a ton of subscribers and send out emails less than once a month so the price model really works for me.

Cons:

No complaints so far! I have been able to easily figure out everything I need.

Comments: As an artist, I've been having a great time growing my first mailing list using EmailOctopus. It's simple and easy to use, so I can spend more time on what matters (creating art), and you don't have to spend money just to start out. I'm also very fond of the fact EmailOctopus respects the privacy of my followers. It really helps build trust with my audience.

Pros:

It's free to start, easy, and respects the privacy of my followers.

Cons:

Sometimes, the UI for designing the newsletters is a bit clunky, especially when dragging and dropping blocks.

Wish I found EmailOctopus Sooner!

Comments: It has been easy, simple, and amazing! If you're looking for a simplified and more user friendly experience, EmailOctopus checks all the boxes and more!

Pros:

Easy to use: I love how easy it is to navigate! Our company works really hard to make our own solutions easy to use and intuitive to our clients, so we appreciate other companies/tools that value the same thing. Support: The knowledge base is great, but the support emails are quick and personal. Again that is something our company strives for is personal customer support without going through 'robots' and I like that EmailOctopus has a dedicated support team that is super helpful if you have questions.

Cons:

I don't dislike anything, though I wish for campaigns there were more video options supported like Loom. But I can easily get around that with some coding. Not enough to deter me at all.

Excellent solution for managing email campaigns!

Pros:

The free option to start out with EmailOctopus is a very good choice to start out with. It enables you to see the functionality and send a good amount of emails before committing to a paid plan (if you need one). We have used a couple different options for email marketing, and EmailOctopus was the best all-around that we tried.

Cons:

EmailOctupus seems to have fewer email templates than some of the other providers, however - the ones they have fit our needs perfectly.

Easy, professional service with great support.

Comments: Easy to use with great support pages to help me switch over initially and then to continue to make my email campaigns the best I can make them.
I'd recommend EmailOctopus to anyone who's unfamiliar with setting up email subscriptions. But it's great to anyone really, no matter the level of experience.

Pros:

The ease of making up an email to send out to my subscribers. EmailOctopus isn't the first service I've used over the years, but it's by far the easiest one to navagate.

Cons:

It can get pricey when you need to upgrade. But that's pretty much true across the board these days. And you do get what you pay for.

Helpful and Responsive

I love that it's easy to use, has all the features we need without low limits on numbers of campaigns or automation, etc.

Cons:

Not being able to save templates from automation, but there's a workaround I figured out.

Easy and super friendly platform, they send regular emails with tips on how to improve your messages, I found this very helpful. I recommend Octopus with eyes closed.

Cons:

Maybe help bubbles with the best way to editing messages. And a easy way to bulk erase emails, sometimes bot attacks and stored useless emails.

Simplicity Meets Affordability in Email Marketing

Comments: Simple, easy to customise and send your email campaigns. Doesn't slow your website with a WordPress plugin. Probably the best-priced email platform you'll find online.

Pros:

I like the simplicity of the platform. Easy to navigate and not complicated. It has a great pricing structure, the best I've found so far.

Cons:

You have to enter your email each time you want to send a campaign. Free for up to 2500 subscribers which was great but now a competitor has 10000.

Best Newsletters tool

Pros:

The creation of the newsletter is really intuitive, they offer good prices.

Cons:

I had some troubles with multiple users feature.

Truly beginner friendly, good results.

That it isn't possible to filter people into an automation without issuing a tag. I am not used to using tags yet.

Better bang for your buck

Pros:

EmailOctopus is a more accessible, user-friendly approach to email marketing than other products I've seen. Instead of trying to woo people with fancy design and loads of features, their site design and client dashboard lets the product speak for itself. Everything I need is easy to find.

Cons:

I wish EmailOctopus had the features I liked about Convertkit, so I wouldn't feel like I was missing too much. For instance, I'd create opt-ins with lead magnets, so someone would subscribe and be sent that opt-in — without me needing to create an automation JUST for that opt-in/lead magnet.

Good, inexpensive competitor to larger players

Pros:

Very reasonably priced and decent features for basic newsletters and list building.

Cons:

Some processes are convoluted compared to others in this category. Templates aren't as pretty as Constant Contact or Flodesk, and the template design process can be a little buggy and frustrating.

I feel like I'm part of the family!

Comments: EmailOctopus provides a great product at a fantastic price. I feel confident that they have my back at every step, as I grow my list!

Pros:

I have to admit that it was the Free Plan that first got my attention, but it's been the really great customer support that has totally sold me on EmailOctopus. Everyone is so friendly and prompt with their responses to even some of my "newbie" questions. I also really like how easy and intuitive everything is set up. IIt was so quick and easy to get started and I've made some beautiful web forms that I love.

Cons:

At this time, because my list is small, I don't have any Cons.

Comments: Very positive! I have been using them for two years now and could not be more pleased.

Pros:

I love how responsive the team behind EO is, and I feel great knowing they give back to the environment. Plus, the interface is streamlined, the emails look good, and the system has never let me down.

Cons:

There's some limited capability when it comes to including surveys, for example, but they're adding features all the time and I can always figure out how to do what I want (for example, just including a survey link).

A great product for campaigns

Pros:

Ease of use, campaign scheduling and reporting statistics available in the free version, flexible price plan depending on contact list size

Cons:

Image management was great until 2 months ago, now I cannot view the images I integrate into campaigns from the campaign editing page , although they appear correctly in the email presentations.
