Comments: If you are a small company and you don't want to spend a lot of time setting up database hosting, Compose is a great way to get started and move on. Ideally, you can set it up here and only have to interact with Compose sparingly.

Pros: It is easy to view all databases and other services (such as Redis and Elastic Search) from their dashboard. You can see some high-level information that makes management easy. Their API is also very easy to interact with to programmatically create such deployments.

Cons: Some of the documentation can be a little vague at times, but if you are using this service as a way to host databases, and if you don't require advanced use cases, then this is not a big problem.

Pros: I’ve been using Compose for a while and the product got better and better: it now supports many database deployments and their dashboard is one of the easiest and most intuitive I’ve used. The service is rock solid and it’s fantastic both for personal and enterprise projects.

Cons: The UI for querying the databases is not immediate, if you aren’t a developer.
