Excellent Convenient App
Comments:
I love the way that there is constant development, and improvement since i first joined 2 years ago.
The app has allowed me more room for quality time with clients, as customers can schedule appointments at their own convenience, without interfering with consultation sessions.
Pros:
The app is extremely user-friendly and advances on a monthly basis. The support is always friendly and very responsive.
Cons:
Nothing really, as I said there are so many things still to come and to add, which is extremely exciting.

Comments: My overall experience with Booksy has been great. It’s a great price for the features it offers and it makes running my business easier for me. Not to mention my clients also like how easy it is to use.
Pros:
What I like and appreciate most about this software is the mobile access, appointment scheduling, and confirmation/reminders. These are some of the main things about this software that makes it easy not only for me, but for my customers to use.
Cons:
I do feel calendar sync could be improved. I do like this feature, but I’ve had issues with my appointments not being on my calendar even though someone would schedule their appointment.

Worst booking system ever used
Comments: Overall it was awful. I was billed incorrectly for a system error that was made and then my account got disabled. As a salon relying on appointments being able to operate I was left in an awful situation. I tried numerous attempts for assistance and I just got sent around in circles. Their system error had detrimental effects to my business and there was zero acknowledgment of this or apology.
Pros:
Aesthetically pleasing. It’s hard for me to find pros as I am so dissatisfied overall.
Cons:
Terrible customer support. System errors and nobody to assist. They do not care about their customers!

It’s easy and accessible, I love that my clients can book when ever they want with out having to go through me.

I’m not quite sure at the moment, i know there were like two things that i didn’t care for much but, none that comes to mind at this very moment.

Comments: besides the few glitches i have had a pleasant experience with booksy. I like how it is integrated with GOOGLE, Instagram, and FB.

besides the customer service i like that i can send booking reminders to customers as well as they get an automated message to leave a review I can post reviews to my IG Its integrated with GOOGLE, FB and IG I can post pictures to my profile
Cons:
when sending confirmations it does not give the client an option to click on "confirm" rather it just send the confirmation. the photos that come on my fb page does not reflect my service for example- there is a picture under each service and sometimes a guy/girl is having a laser treatment and I work with waxing. my cancellation policy and my no-show policy are different and I wish i could use both depending on the circumstance.

The worst app and business owners should be aware
Comments: I hate that Genbook merged with Booksy, they couldn’t have picked such a terrible software. Customer service is horrible, please don’t respond with “get in touch with [email protected]” because I ALREADY have and yet no response, mind you this was last week. My bank account has not been verified after almost 1 week and a half and I’ve been sending over numerous documents but nothing. I NEED to talk to someone over this issue because I’m potentially losing a lot of money especially with no shows. Don’t even get my started on every client has to give a deposit? Or at least that’s what I was told on the chat. Oh, and the chat.. you ask a question on the chat and get a response HOURS later.. like Business owners have that time? Anyways, these are my main points, I can go on. If you do respond, please let me know how I can get a refund since I paid Genbook.

Booksy is Garbage
Comments: They are a garbage company. Customer service is unresponsive. I had repeatedly asked them to delete my client list from their server prior to the data breach. Eventually they assured me that they had done that. Two weeks later another salon had my entire list.
Pros:
When books he purchased Genbook I kept some of the useful features.
Cons:
Once Booksy took over, I lost my entire cancellation list. Several appointments did not make it in the changeover and I was double booked. They gave my entire client list to another, competing salon who began marketing to all 1500 clients

Stay Away if you value your Customers
Comments: Awful, frustrating, have definitely upset my clients over this unplanned switch from Genbook.
Pros:
I do like the option you can add forms as I'd like to get away from paper. I haven't used theirs as I'm looking for alternative software, but it was the one thing that appealed to me.
Cons:
As others have stated, there is zero customer support. They want you to watch their webinars...um seriously?? The chat people will say "hi" then maybe answer your question 10 hours later. If ever. There's really too many things that make this software the worst ever, just trust the bad reviews with recent ratings.

Personal Use Booking
Pros:
Simplicity, sensible recommendations based on usage, reminders with a timeline that makes sense, integrates well with Google assistant.
Cons:
No cons - I have not encountered a situation where Booksy has had errors.
Booksy for booking
Comments: My experience has been very favorable and have really had and unfavorable problems
Pros:
That i can book from home at my own convenience. And it allows me to see all times and days
Cons:
Sometimes it doesn't always show the cancelations incase i need an appointment at another time
pretty seamless

The seamlessness of appointment booking.
Cons:
Like Vagaro it can be kind of glitchy depending on the type of format you're using.

Pros:
Love being able to book on Booksy There is no question about when or where The email tracking and availibilty takes the guess work out of booking appointments

I honestly have no complaints! There is easy to use step by step instructions

This software is pretty self explanatory to my customers, thus it makes very easy for me to run my business.

Pretty tricky to get used to at starting.
Disappointed with takeover of Genbook
Comments: Booksy took over Genbook quickly with very little warning. They did NOT make sure they had the same features in place before this, which made the transition challenging for clients as well as practitioners. They still have not added the features we needed. At a minimum I wish they would have made sure they could offer the same simple features of Genbook before the takeover.
Pros:
They integrated my customers and reviews from Genbook when they purchased it. This was convenient... that said, many other things since have been a nightmare.
Cons:
There are no options to send repeat or automatic reminder to clients. They collect client information and encourage them to sign up for "booksy" to get an appointment. Clients have a lot of trouble making appointments, often get frustrated, then reach out by email anyway. There are no options for resource management, room management, or group classes. There is no option to show the "buffer" time set on the calendar; this allows practitioners to accidentally overbook themselves, we worked around this by adding time on to the appointment time, but then clients contact us and ask if their session is actually 30 minutes longer than expected.

Thank you for the feedback! Change is difficult, big or small, and it is never our intention to create confusion for you or your clients. Some of what you are describing we do have solutions for. Search "resources" in the Booksy Library or reach out to support via chat for tutorials on how to implement them in your Booksy.
Great App
Comments: My over experience with Booksy has been great I love the fact that that it has everything you need.
Pros:
That it was easier to use and it was the reminders and confirmation of the service that I like most of all
Cons:
There nothing I didn’t like about this software it was all great.

Pros:
Great for scheduling appointments and organising your life really very easy to cancel and rebook things if needed.
Cons:
There is nothing to dislike I would always recommend to a friend.
Disaster for my business
Comments: It has been a nightmare. My business is down to half capacity. I regret not leaving immediately at the beginning of the year, but the problems compounded to the point where I must get a new booking system in order for my business to survive.
Pros:
When they bought Genbook the migration was handled adequately and the transition was relatively smooth.
Cons:
Everything else. The software is very buggy, customers began having trouble booking online and my schedule became less and less full over time. Customer support is non-existent. We lost the wait list function of genbook, we lost reviews, everything takes 3-4 extra clicks. They seem to be only interested in capturing my clients data so they can spam them. It was so cumbersome to book that many clients just started calling or texting me, defeating the purpose of online booking.

What am I paying for?
Comments: Pretty bad. Not impressed at all.
Pros:
Very client friendly. Super easy for them to book and reach you.
Cons:
Customer service is atrocious. I have been waiting over 24 hours for the chat team to get back to me after they stopped responded mid conversation. They will just completely ignore you. You have to wait forever to to get someone on the phone. They have an option to have your daily- yearly reports sent to you from the app. It used to work and now you can only do it from a desktop computer or a tablet. The option to do it from the app is there but it doesn’t work. You will book an appointment and it will disappear off your book or never show up. Let’s not talk about how long it takes to get your money from them. I refuse to even take payment through them because they are so inconsistent with fees and will tell you your money has been sent when it hasn’t. All in all I’m not sure what I am paying for. I wouldn’t recommend Booksy ever.

Don’t get this app. Not what it use to be.
Comments: I use to love this app before they “upgraded” in 2021.
Pros:
Payouts are extremely slow if you deserve to use the prepayment option.
Cons:
Customer service will leave you on read if you have a problem

Thank you for your feedback! We initiate payouts daily for any funds that are collected throughout the day. Once a payout is initiated, depending on your bank, it typically takes 2-3 business days to post to your bank account.
Could very well work for your business, but since Genbook was bought out we had to switch. Not GOOD
Comments: Its been terrible. The onboarding team was very helpful but they're only useful while you move over. The tech support is pretty much non existent
Pros:
Seems easy enough of and straight forward but does not do what We need/want it to

When clients are sent to book there are advertisements for other competitors and business with similar products in the main header/banner of the booking webpage. We cant take payment through Booksy to track analytics if someone wants to pay in store. Customers have to pay through an email sent after the appointment scheduled. Its not a conducive, streamlined or well configured UX.

Your customers can pay for their services any number of ways, really however you want to accept payments. You can give them the option to pay for services through the Booksy app using Mobile Payments, in-store with the Booksy Card Reader, or by any offline payment method like cash or gift card.
Best Software
Comments: I love it. Its awesome! And the help is always friendly even when you have silly questions they are always willing to help.
Pros:
I have used booksy a long time ago when they just started, then went back on the books and paper for a while, then they came to see me and i saw so many upgrades and features, i dont use any other apps, they are the best of the best in salon business, i can do anything and everything i need to. Amazing software, easy and user friendly. I LOVE IT!
Cons:
I Have nothing negative to say. Except for the gallery could be easier to use.... if you click on a pic and want to go back it takes you to the top again. if you could go back and stay where you are that would be great otherwise you have to keep scrolling down. or if they could add in sections in the gallery like example.. in the salon business. say you have a full service salon. in one folder Nails, in another folder , Hair, ect. that would be awesome. or to categorize the peoples images in the salon. for example.... (Me) Chantelle and all my images under my name in a folder separate from Dee or sons images. so that way everyone creates their own profiles.
I want GenBook back

Pros:
The presentation and pos system. It has a very clean look.
Cons:
I am a shop owner. My clients can not book with their preferred barber easily. If I am booked out. Booksy automatically books them with a free barber. This has cause major problems in my shop. My can’t even see the full calendar. They have to search hard for my next availability. I can’t even book my clients standing appointments. I’m very upset and looking for another alternative.

Great for ones who work alone.
Comments: My over all experience using this app is great I just don't really like you can't see what is pending to be deposited into your account I do not like that you cannot set a lunch time continuously and I am very upset that they took away the bounce back text messages but over all it's a great app to utilize if you work alone.
Pros:
The pros of this software is that your clients can book 24 hours A-day 7 days a week with out a phone call you can apply a cancelation policy You can describe your services in full you can add a question that they have to answer before they can book that service it's a completely well rounded thought out software for someone who works alone.
Cons:
I do not like that they took away the bounce back text messages so when someone would call and you couldn't get to the phone it would send them a text message where they could book their appointments I don't like that you can't set a set lunch time. And I do not like that you cannot see pending deposits. The way they have it set up is confusing
Booksy Witholding Funds
Pros:
It offers a payment portal to ensure last minute cancellations and 'no-shows' would still be liable to pay for the artist's time.
Cons:
Over R10k worth of deposits have not been paid out within the agreed 5 business days. This is a breach of contract and nothing has been done even after enquiry. I have been using Booksy for over 3 weeks and no payout.

Where is their support staff?
Comments: I was forced over to this product when GenBook was purchased. The support is terrible. It takes at least an hour to get a response from the chat, and sometimes, I get NO response even by the next day. Their online videos are useless to a new user who is just trying to switch over. Everything seems focused on salon usage, which is not how I use it.
Pros:
I like that I can create a document to be completed by my clients right online when they create an appointment
Cons:
I have no idea where or how to find the features I am used to. Documentation is lacking.
