> **Pros**: I have used PriceGain for over 3 years. The decision came as our chain decided to switch from another similar supplier, and I can definitely say that the decision was a great one. PriceGain allows you to easily set up your compset and gives you quite a bit of information on the compset (star rating, number of rooms, room types etc.). You can access the tool anytime or set automatic reports to be sent to your email daily according to your personal settings and needs. One great thing is that PriceGain doesn't only provide you with the rate of the competition, but as well the room type it is associated wit, so if you roughly know your compset you can immediately see how busy they are (i.e they are out of standard rooms, or selling only executives etc.). Any Revenue Manager would benefit from the help that PriceGain provides and helps to easily define you pricing strategy. The reporting goes why ahead, you can even get a whole year report and make sure your prices are not sticking out versus the competition on some quiet days. Highly recommended to everyone.

> **Cons**: This tool has no negative sides. The only thing that can happen sometimes is that the tool doesn't pick up the pricing of one of the competitors, hence the pricing comes up as N/A.

It simplifies your everyday life and gives you an overview of the compset pricing 4 months in advance. There are several options for customizing the reports up to your needs. It's a key tool that every revenue manager has to have.

> **Cons**: One of the cons of PriceGain is the price associated with adding additional properties. Overall the software is easy to use and cannot fault it.
