Tipalti: The Payment Processor That Surprised Me

Pros:

When I first signed up to use Tipalti as an affiliate marketer, I was hesitant. I've used other payment processors before, and they've all been a bit of a pain. But Tipalti surprised me.For one thing, the sign-up process was incredibly easy. It literally took me 3-5 minutes. And the interface is so intuitive that I didn't even need to read the instructions.But what really blew me away was how quickly and accurately my payments were processed. I was used to waiting weeks or even months to get paid by other processors. But with Tipalti, I received my payment right on time!Overall, I'm really happy with Tipalti. It's the easiest and most efficient payment processor I've ever used.

Cons:

Surprisingly, it was a simple process that went smoothly.

Great software for accounts automation

Comments: A good platform with great customer support, saves a lot of costs and increases profits, suitable for many companies of different types and sizes.

Pros:

This platform works to automate accounts, especially accounts payable, use it to issue and track invoices and it gave a good result, saves a lot of time needed to manage payments to suppliers, is also useful in preparing the tax form and in transfers and settlement of payments and others.

Cons:

It is really a good program that is almost devoid of cons, but sometimes there are problems with the integration with the bank account. Also, errors may occur with the use of e-mail.

Slow Payment

Comments: Horrible. I do not recommend this company and really wish DistroKid switches to another company.

Pros:

Nothing at all. The payment processing is inconsistent and slow.

Cons:

The slow payments. I was close to losing my place of living because the payments were so slow.

Overall good payment tool

Pros:

Cloud based, helps streaming line payment process.

Cons:

Support is not as good as other tools available on the market.

E2E payment solutions

Pros:

CSV-based transaction files provide more distinguished adaptability. Our licensing software generates fees that may be simply formatted to coordinate with the transaction file's specifications. Tipalti has lessened the time it takes to collect and disperse quarterly royalties from days to hours.

Cons:

Among my complaints is that it is impossible to notify the approver that a rejected approval claim has been submitted. It might be helpful if invoices could be added to a pending payment order so customer can see the progress easily.

A Great Solution For Managing Accounts

Pros:

It has made payment processing easy and the software has been great in handling accounts payable

Cons:

Tipalti has been smooth, and no issues.

Get your payments everywhere

Comments: Great experience. I never had an issue with it so far.

Pros:

Tipalti allows me to receive my payments once they are sent by the payer really quickly. It has affordable fees compared to other platforms.

Cons:

Sometimes the transactions are processed immediately, and some other times it takes a couple of business days even if it is a recurring payment from the same sender and receiver.

It would have been beneficial to have more flexibility in tailoring the platform to align with unique business needs.

Bad and Frustrating

Pros:

I do not like anything about Tipalti. That's it.

Cons:

From persistent login issues, to its poor UI, the experience of using Tipalti has been incredibly frustrating and I resent having been forced to use it by some of the companies who pay me. I think any alternative in this space is superior.

The perfect solution for my business

What I liked the most is its ability to completely simplify my affiliate payments. Before using this platform, I had to deal with a manual and tedious process that consumed a lot of time and resources. But now, I can automate the entire process, from affiliate onboarding to currency selection to sending payments.

Cons:

One of the things that I liked the least is its initial learning curve. At first, it can be a bit overwhelming to get familiar with all the features and functionality of the platform.

The perfect solution for accounts payable automation

Comments: Its end-to-end approach to vendor payment management, which significantly simplifies billing and payment processes, and offers greater visibility and control across global payment transactions.

Pros:

One positive thing is that it provides a holistic cloud platform that greatly simplifies and automates complex provider payment operations.

Cons:

It has some limitations regarding the customization of the platform and the workflows, for this reason you may find restrictions when adapting it to some specific needs.

Can be expensive, particularly for smaller businesses with limited budgets. Limited customization: While Tipalti provides a wide range of payment options, the software offers limited customization options, which may make it less flexible for businesses with specific needs.

We use Tipalti for AP and it is working great as they provide great approval work flow and payment process.

Cons:

One of the issues is reporting as Tipalti provide only hand full of standard reports.

Pros:

Helps keep me aware of pending approvals and has all of the relevant data points displayed so that I don't have to go back to our CRM to confirm.

Cons:

Nothing really comes to mind as the system has always been reliable i.e. have never experienced downtime or had any connectivity issues.

Great Product & Service

Comments: using tipalti has solved the administrative burden of managing payees and their payment info, allows for easy process of payments, additional users (account managers) have access and can easily understand and provide support to payees (including information on payments - paid or pending) without needing to connect account managers to company's accounting software (which is more complicated to use)

Pros:

ease of use, manages supplier payments in logical and comprehensive way - allowing to see current status and allows for payment planning, streamlines invoice approval process for payees, reduces significantly administrative effort to manage payee bank info (and tax-related docs), simple and easy process to issue payments

Cons:

some additional flexibility on managing customization of payments and ability to see in single view the unpaid balance of payees

Great Payment Solution

Comments: We have a very complicated payout setup that used to take up to 5 days per month to complete. After integrating with Tipalti we've been able to reduce that to 1 day a month and significantly increase the accuracy and timeliness of payouts. The functionality provided relative to the cost is a steal. While we'd love to see more customization, they're working hard to release new features and we've been very pleased with the relationship so far.

An extremely easy to use software that has helped improve our productivity & communication

We love that it integrates well into our current system and it scales up extremely well to our 500+ employees.

Cons:

Once in a while we experience delays in processing tax forms but because this is used so rarely, it often is not a problem. Thankfully, deployment and operation go through swiftly.

It is easy to use and clear in what is pending/has been paid. It is very secure as well.

Don't really have many negatives about Tipalti other than allowing vendors from other countries to be paid in US dollars occasionally causes issues.

User friendly and great customer service

Comments: The customer service is always kind and attentive.

Pros:

Invoice processing efficiency has improved by 90%. Storing of invoices and tax documents, TIN validation and banking information is all in one place. Email inquiries have decreased dramatically.

Cons:

The implementation was not as smooth and seamless as we would have liked. The initial uploads created several duplicate vendors and not all invoices uploaded properly.

Excellent Software for Payments

Pros:

Our business uses Tipalti to manage the payments of thousands of users. We have found the service to be very user-friendly and is easy to onboard new vendors. It streamlines to payables function and increases the efficiency of our accounting team. Additionally their customer service is always quick to respond and help with any problems we have.

Cons:

If a vendor is not payable, it can sometimes be difficult to understand the cause. No automation of 1099.

Great tool to make multiple payments

Pros:

I've used Tipalti for the last three months. It's straightforward to manage and has allowed me to pay hundreds of new contractors located in different part of the world allowing them to choose between multiple payments methods for a reasonable fee. I love that contractors can create their own account by filling out their personal, tax and bank information, I can customize the app for them to receive notifications of the status of their payments. The invoice feature is one of the most valuable to me and has allowed me to streamline the process. Customer support is excellent.

Cons:

The only problems I have is that fee contractors needed to make several attempts to sign in and register in the platform for the first time; also the system does not prevent them from uploading the same invoice more than once. I would like to have the feature to create contractors massively; customer support helps me with this.

Definitely Recommend Tipalti

Comments: I started using Tipalti as a payment solution for my business when manually paying vendors was becoming too difficult and time consuming. After the initial set up, payments are easy and fast to make and there is less room for user error since everything is based on vendor ID numbers.

Pros:

batch upload, quick payments, auto emails, GREAT customer service who were willing to work with me and my specific needs

Cons:

getting vendors initially set up in the payment portal took some time (even though there was an auto upload, which helped tremendously) but I had a lot of vendors I needed to ensure were set up quickly and accurately.

Pros:

Approve makes the procurement process super simple. It is extremely easy to implement, has a flexible and accurate approval flow and contains all the exact features a valid process needs without the complexity of other tools in its domain. Above all it is very user friendly, providing its users a great and painless experience.

Cons:

We as early adopters encountered the natural teething pains of a brand new system. Still, we found an extremely supportive team at approve ready to cope with any problem or issue. It was definitely worth it.

Straight Forward System!

Comments: Great system for the price. Overall great support when needed. Data is easily managed and we generally have a seamless AP schedule thanks to Tipalti.
