Super HELP DESK
Comments: It's basic but intense. I love it
Pros:
Professional Help Desk specially [sensitive content hidden]
Cons:
Nothing
My Thoughts on Odoo (so far)
Comments: Overall, I would say my experience with Odoo has been both frustrating and rewarding. It is such a powerful tool, but takes lots of dedication, planning, and testing to really understand how the system works, and how to tailor it for unique business / supply chain challenges. We don't sell widgets that are identical to one another. Everything we buy and sell has unique characteristics which is difficult to transcribe in an ERP system. Odoo is an ERP system that has the flexibility to handle these types of challenges.
Pros:
I want to give a shoutout to [sensitive content hidden] who has been our Business Analyst. He's done an excellent job learning how our business operates, and finding solutions to tailor fit Odoo's platform to our particular business challenges. He's been efficient with his implementations, and has been a great partner in getting the most bang for our buck on development needs. Ease of Use. Once you spend a good week using the system, it becomes fairly easy to use and customize.
Cons:
Odoo has been difficult to package purchases into shipping units, which for us are truckload quantities. Odoo has made it difficult to translate between different units of measure that can convert. I wish that I could implement Tableau dashboards into Odoo for executive views.
Alternatives Considered: Zoho CRM
Reasons for Switching to Odoo: Odoo has a more robust suite of features to manage inventory
middle term review
Comments: so far I can tell that is ok. the implementation team is good. some desapointing with some of the tools and we anguer to see all the modules working toghether
Pros:
the app integration is good to reproduce our working mode onsitlde the apps
Cons:
whatsapp app is too basic and missing features such as loading a video in the social media managment tool.
Alternatives Considered: SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence
Reasons for Choosing Odoo: not complete solution and it is important to me the croos information between the dept to better manage the company
Switched From: Bitrix24
Reasons for Switching to Odoo: odoo have local services and looks lime more suitible to our company fase.
feedback after 8 months
Comments:
Odoo is reliable, still fast with a lot of data (lines and scans), granting to have an overall management of data, documents and spreadsheets... - very impressive and enjoyable
Still evolving in a good way
It lacks a backup local solution, with full access (all modules) even if it's a read-only edition
Pros:
Great possibilities included into Odoo (autocompletion, AI to scan accountancy, documents and data together, bank reconciliation, asset's management, contacts, duplicate detection, seamless year and processes...) All in one solution Odoo still evolves every 2 months and user's feedback are also in sight More customers and suppliers adopt also Odoo AppStore
Cons:
Customized developpment and/or local hosting : fees way too high and too often Online documentation help isn't enough updated (but there are a lot of updated tutorial videos) Importing data isn't very predictable - no documentation about name of recognized columns Export-Import (Odoo to Odoo only) to handle mass data, isn't as easy as teached Some tickets are way too long to be solved (few weeks since the first chat) - and some consultants try to force new sales SMS, VoIP, SIP : fees aren't reasonable ; other inApp services seem not at a fair price No temporary user with read-only default profile (as for inspection - control, like for 2-3 months a year) Currencies (realtime and historical) data, VAT chekcs... shall be centralized into an Odoo buffer for all customers
Alternatives Considered: Baserow
Reasons for Choosing Odoo: no linux server (local self hosted) feature ERP solutions expensive and not so efficient
Switched From: Sage 50cloud Accounting
Reasons for Switching to Odoo: more enhanced My accountant advices me Odoo
Great Product, Complicated Startup
Comments: Working with Tahoe as our Support Guru has made all the difference in the world. The software is complicated to setup and customize. Having someone that responds quickly and gets back to your with answers has help tremendously. We love the product.
Pros:
Flexibility. Ever aspect of the the business process is covered in the workflow.
Cons:
Complicated setup and slow technical support.
Flexible and easy to master ERP
Comments: Fun learning experience, swift and precise business process improvements.
Pros:
Its ease of use and its efficient interface, along with its modular structure and the interoperability between applications. The openness and pro-activeness of their consultants.
Cons:
Its rigidity regarding certain country-specific flows. Though it seems robust, cost analytics could still be improved (and seem like so in version 18, but we haven't yet made the upgrade).
Alternatives Considered: NetSuite, SAP Business One, ERPNext and Fulcrum
Reasons for Switching to Odoo: Robust support team in our country. Community edition allowed us to create a MVP with little to no investment.
Good experience with some attentions to warehouse reports
Comments:
Its really good experience
And I hope more attention to warehouse reports ( Exactly to warehouse balances after each transaction we didnt find it in reports )
Pros:
We found support in forums and social media like youtube in addition to odoo support team
Cons:
Speed of response from [sensitive content hidden]
The best ERP system for small and mid-sized business
Comments: Overall, it is a good experience. It would be even better if the few bugs we experience are ironed out and if user rights are easier to manage as a non-technical person.
Pros:
It's ability to be modified, while still offering an excellent out of the box solution at a good price.
Cons:
It is still quite hard to manage user access rights.
Alternatives Considered: Dynamics 365
Reasons for Switching to Odoo: Price mainly - Why do I need to type 40 characters?
My experience
Comments: So far my suggestion is to enable the possibility of segmenting products by currency, so that customers can see the products they want to show them in their currency.
Pros:
What I like most about Odoo is the ease of use, the interface is modern and more.
Cons:
So far my suggestion is to enable the possibility of segmenting products by currency, so that customers can see the products they want to show them in their currency.
Alternatives Considered: Shopify
Reasons for Choosing Odoo: I have always been looking for a platform that allows me to have quality at an acceptable price
Switched From: Squarespace and Shopify
Reasons for Switching to Odoo: Because I see that it has many functionalities and a good interface
very good help
Comments: Great programm with a lot more possibilities than we use
Pros:
outstanding servicefrom the support department from Odoo
Cons:
Most of the time answer from Odoo end up in my spam
Alternatives Considered: Silvasoft
Reasons for Choosing Odoo: old programm ended so whe had to find a new programm
Switched From: Mamut One
Reasons for Switching to Odoo: Bookkeeper already worked with Odoo and some other companies that i knew also.
Love Odoo software. Odoo Service Pack for setup is HORRIBLE!
Comments: I strongly discourage anyone from using the Odoo Training Service Pack of hours. We had a horrible experience. The Business Service Analysts who work with you are a joke. I imagine there are some good ones. The program is set up poorly from square one. Regardless of your type of business, you receive the BSA who becomes available next. Even if they have no experience, or relatively little, with your industry. You only have ONE person. Not a team of people. To top it off, we had 3 BSA and all were within their first few months with Odoo. I wish I had a dollar for every time our first BSA said "I don't know." I will be escalating my fight with Odoo to receive a refund for some hours. For instance, we were charged for cancelling a weekly meeting that wasn't confirmed since I was literally in a foreign jungle with very spotty internet. Yet, when our BSA didn't show up one week and we had to email (there is no way to call your BSA) to find out via auto-reply that he was out of the office, well...there was no offsetting penalty against Odoo. We were charged many hours for slow work that I can now do myself in half the time! Use a third party company that specializes in your industry or is close to your location and can visit. The Odoo BSA Service Pack program is so poor that the company actually told me that "We don't guarantee the quality of our service." That should tell you all that you need to know about paying Odoo for implementation of your program.
Pros:
There are so many apps/modules that can all be integrated. You can pick and choose which apps to start with and add more as you need or fee comfortable. Small or large businesses can successfully use Odoo.
Cons:
Some things are a bit comlex for a small company with limited people to implement what we want. We are a CUSTOM PRODUCTS manufacturing company and there aren't as many resources to learn how to handle manufacturing custom products. Odoo would be great for building a house or an airplane. But I'm struggling to figure out how to have a good flow with 100 orders a day for custom rubber stamps, nameplates, signs and embroidery.
Alternatives Considered: QuickBooks Desktop and NetSuite
Reasons for Choosing Odoo: The software we switched from is a proprietary program from our small industry and is not listed above. While the software is great for manufacturing in our industry, everything else is not nearly as efficient or effective as what Odoo has. The accounting is especially poor. Reporting is even worse than poor!
Switched From: Postage $aver
Reasons for Switching to Odoo: QuickBooks couldn't handle some basic invoicing and shipping functions much to my surprise. NetSuite was incredibly much more expensive for much less capability.
Amazing ERP/MRP system!
Comments: Overall, the Odoo system is incredible. No more paying for each additional module you need. It is all included. They offer a free version if you only need a single module... Who does that? If you are in the market for a user-friendly ERP or MRP system, look no further.
Pros:
Odoo is very user-friendly and the Odoo team is absolutely phenominal. The software is extremely customizable and offers a plethora of features out of the box.
Cons:
The subscription fee is due upfront. This can be a little daunting if you are looking for a longer term.
Alternatives Considered: QuickBooks Online Advanced
Reasons for Choosing Odoo: Netsuite is overcomplicated and extremely overpriced. Their customer support leaves much to be desired.
Switched From: NetSuite
Reasons for Switching to Odoo: Quickbooks Advanced Online does not offer the Sales Order function like previous versions.
Thank you [sensitive content hidden]
Comments: My overall experience with Odoo has been positive. I’m very happy with the results and progress we’ve made using the platform—it’s everything we wanted and even exceeds our expectations in some areas. However, there are times when the system can be a bit confusing and repetitive, which can slow down our workflow. Despite these occasional challenges, Odoo has been a valuable tool for our business, and we’re pleased with the direction we’re headed.
Pros:
What I liked most about Odoo is the system's adaptability—it’s incredibly versatile and can be tailored to fit our specific needs. I also want to highlight the outstanding service we received from our consultant, [sensitive content hidden] He’s been extremely attentive and helpful throughout the entire process, making sure we get the most out of the platform.
Cons:
What I liked least about Odoo is the way consulting hours are charged and accounted for. We’re concerned about being billed for time spent resolving issues that aren’t our fault, such as bugs or errors within Odoo itself. It would be more reassuring if there was a clearer distinction between time spent on genuine consulting and time spent addressing system-related problems.
Alternatives Considered: SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence
Reasons for Choosing Odoo: we needed something more complete, that included more capabilities
Switched From: Bind ERP
Reasons for Switching to Odoo: because we think is a better fit for our needs and company size
DO NOT USE ODOO!
Comments:
I wish I had only signed up to pay monthly, but my "account manager" convinced me that signing up for a year and adding all the users upfront would be cheaper. I started with using the platform to replace QuickBooks. I paid for a two-hour support session with my rep, and during the call, he had to look up or ask somebody else for the answers to my questions on how to do something. By the end of the call, he had not answered how to enter beginning balances. It is a basic function of accounting software, but he didn’t know and said he would get back to me. Here we are three months later, and he hasn't gotten back to me. There were other outstanding items I needed answers to, but he hasn't responded to any of my emails. I emailed him asking for a phone call, but I got ghosted. I contacted customer support to help me connect my banking account to the application, and it took them three weeks to respond, and their answer didn’t fix it. I run a business, and waiting three weeks for that is just unacceptable. Getting no response from my "Account Manager" is unacceptable. Clearly, he's got the wrong title because he manages nothing! He can't even do his job.
So, now, this gets worse. I asked for a refund because the platform is unusable to me. Guess what? I won't be getting one. Why, you ask? Because the company is based in Belgium and I am in the States. Seriously, that's the reason they gave me. WHAT THE HECK?
I've now switched to Zoho and can't be happier! Please consider my experience and try something else instead!
Pros:
I like that there are many apps in one platform.
Cons:
The applications are not user-friendly! I'm good at learning software, but this one is foreign and complicated. The customer service is HORRIBLE!
Great CMS for any business
Comments: Very good. I really believe, that we couldnt find any better all in one software for our business.
Pros:
Easy of use for any customer. And absolutely best price for small business.
Cons:
To manage some small parts might be really hard. For example translate something on website.
Alternatives Considered: Zoho Desk
Reasons for Choosing Odoo: Subscription Invoices where not developed and complicated.
Switched From: Bitrix24
Reasons for Switching to Odoo: I liked, that is very popular and open source, even if I am not using open source version.
from a Past User, for Future Scopes
Comments: Will have to admit that i did not expect such a switch and understanding Support Team. They are quick to respond and mostly get right answers, or else, they are asking to correct questions to get a situation sorted out. 10 on 10! Keep it there : At the TOP!!!
Pros:
Stability of the platform and ease of use of the overall ecosystem. What a wonderful piece of software!
Cons:
Liked everything till now, so no Cons at all... amazing
Great ERP system with plenty of potential for optimisation
Pros:
Many functions already included as standard. Access via mobile app is a good extension for daily work. Competent Support.
Cons:
Many functions are not mature until now. Regulations applicable in Germany are not taken into account, in particular requirements from the Working Hours Law (ArbZG) and accounting.
Certus and ODD
Comments: We are a satisfied customer using ODOO and since we develop our own apps and integrate them in the ODOO infrastructure things become really easy for all our employees.
Pros:
The multicompany possibilty is really good so you have control over all offices wordwide
Cons:
I think that the UI of things can be improved
My opinion about Odoo.
Comments: As an Odoo user, my overall experience has been a mix of clear benefits and challenges. Starting with the positive, I love the flexibility of the system. The ability to customize and tailor applications to my business’s specific needs has been a huge plus. The fact that everything is integrated into one system – sales, accounting, inventory, and marketing – really helps make workflows smoother and improves overall visibility into operations. The interface is fairly modern and easy to understand, which is great for someone who doesn’t have much technical knowledge. However, when it comes to more advanced setups, I have found myself needing to hire a consultant for initial implementation as some aspects of the system can be quite complex.
Pros:
I really like its user-friendly and modern interface. This software has an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. As it is an open source software, Odoo is very flexible to customize applications according to the needs of the company. Odoo integrates all areas of the business very well, facilitating the management of business processes from accounting and sales to inventory and marketing.
Cons:
Initial setup and customization can require a lot of time, technical knowledge or expert help. Sometimes, when we want to upgrade Odoo to a new version, previous customizations may not be compatible, causing additional effort to adapt custom integrations or modules. Otherwise, all is well.
Oddo is recomendable to other companies like us
Comments: Overall, it's good! But I'm worried about new changes in the latest version to come, which will generate tablets on the shop floor, the need for reconfiguring the hardware, and the need for new training for the personnel to get to speed while producing simultaneously.
Pros:
[sensitive content hidden] has been expedited in his accurate responses. Problem is fixed and we learned how to handle this issues
Cons:
There were constant changes in the account manager, we were receiving no responses from the person who already left and the new person in charge was starting to be present. A time gap in between left us with no responses from this important role
Odoo is perfect for my SMB for many years, highly recommend!
Comments: I use it since Odoo 6. It evolved over the years. Since it is a very horizontal business application, not all modules are very mature. I suggest to start with few modules, set your business workflow around those few modules and slowly install other modules as required. Keep in mind that too many modules with customizations and integrations can be harder to test for version upgrades.
Pros:
Although I use vanilla Online version, it is great to know that Odoo is very customizable. I also like that it can be integrated to other applications in my company via the Web API, so it is very extensible. Also, the data models used internally are perfect for my services company, specially the timesheet entries that convert to cost in the analytic accounting, an essential feature that allows us to know if a project is profitable or not.
Cons:
Default reports could be better polished or customizable, or maybe I didn't study further how to customize.
Thank You Odoo I Love You....
Comments: I love how I can schedule post, how it is 1 App for Free so can offer to others easy and saves me so much time. There is so much to Odoo but that is my favorite asmy time is everything. I did have one issue due to social sites changing there coding and I reached out to support and they answered me FAST and got it all sorted out and resolved. Great company and FANTASTIC site.
Pros:
I love Odoo, saves me time with scheduling posts and it is FREE. AMAZING!!! I am able to offer to my customers and help them get a great start. But then with all the other available program all in one place WOW!! Seriously, Odoo is the way to go and I share it with everyone that comes in my direction. You will love it also....
Cons:
To be honest there is nothing I do not like...I Love Odoo
A Comprehensive and Flexible Platform with Great Tools
Comments: Overall, my experience with Odoo has been very positive. The platform offers a wide range of tools that are easy to use and integrate seamlessly with each other, which has greatly improved our operational efficiency. Customer support is helpful, although response times can sometimes be slow. Despite this, once in contact with the support team, they are always professional and resolve any issues efficiently. The platform’s flexibility and customization options have allowed us to tailor it to our specific needs, which is a big plus.
Pros:
I really appreciate the wide variety of tools available on the platform and how easy it is to use them
Cons:
Although customer service is great once they respond, the response time can be slow. For example, two Wednesdays ago, I opened a ticket regarding an issue that could only be resolved by contacting the support team. I didn’t receive a response until the following Monday, after I reached out via WhatsApp to an executive who found the ticket and partially resolved it through email. I continued communicating through email to fully resolve the issue, but didn’t receive a reply. I even opened a second ticket, and the situation was only fully resolved the following Monday. The executives were very polite and resolved everything, but the response time could be improved, including acknowledging receipt of the ticket sooner
Alternatives Considered: Docusign
Reasons for Switching to Odoo: Have more tools beside the sign application.
A very wonderful and unique experience with Odoo
Comments: The wonderful integration with other systems and the smoothness of dealing actually meets our needs
Pros:
This program is characterized by flexibility and ease of installation. It also allows users to install the appropriate sections according to their choice and also provides integration with various systems
Cons:
It is difficult for non-specialists to deal with, and it also requires more facilitation and solving problems with continuous updates
Odoo is the best ERP
Comments: Best ERP with which I have ever worked. Odoo support is good.
Pros:
All in one place - website, e-commerce, CRM, accounting, etc. Easy to use and work with it. Very flexible to set in different companies.
Cons:
Can think more about the accountant module localization for Bulgaria. There are some issues with VAT declarations. Cant use automatic bank transfers, because is supported only SEPA transfers.
