Good ATS for any team

4.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: Overall, I think it's a great ATS. Super easy to use, has a great rundown of features.

Pros:

- user interface - ease of use - very intuitive

Cons:

- lack of easy automation - lack of sourcing within the ats - there are a few sections that can be organised better in terms of ux/ui - the extension for linkedin sourcing hardly ever works

Will definitely recommend.

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: Great. It makes your recruitment process very smooth and easy.

Pros:

It is a very intuitive platform, very easy to understand and if not, there are many workflows to follow.

Cons:

So far, there isn't anything. Everything has been amazing.

Alternatives Considered: Workable

Reasons for Choosing Greenhouse: Jazz is not as intuitive, and they charge you for additional features. With GH you have everything in place.

Switched From: JazzHR

Reasons for Switching to Greenhouse: I saw better reviews and the overview caught my attention more.

Best in Class ATS

5.0 2 months ago

Comments: From a Recruiter standpoint, Greenhouse has everything I need and made my job easy. I love how easy it is to schedule I love how easy it is to move candidates through the interview stages. How easy it is to send disposition emails and that they come from a do not reply email. It's easy to fill out and view feedback and interactions with the candidate.

Pros:

Scheduling Tool. Easy of adding, editing and reviewing feedback. Ease of posting jobs, reviewing old requisitions. Ease of adding screening questions and knockout questions.

Cons:

Lots of screens to click through. Can be a bit confusing where to find what you need, especially when opening a job. Reporting is complicated.

Great ATS to meet your hiring demands

5.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: Overall great ATS, amazing customer support - always goes the extra mile to resolve the query. Multiple features

Pros:

Greenhouse stage automations Auto-reject questions Bulk actions Multiple reports

Cons:

Greenhouse can/should do work on simplifying reporting, not everyone can easily become an expert in reporting, requires training and time, which should not be the case. Greenhouse reporting also needs to be exported to excel or Google sheets to get a better visual. The new candidate profile design, the old one is more "simple" and user friendly

User friendly ATS!

4.0 last week New

Comments: My overall experience with GH has been a positive one. I do wish the reporting was better. An easy way to pull a recruiter specific report where I can see how many interviews my team has done in a week, for example, would be great.

Pros:

It's very easy to use. The scorecards are by far a favorite feature!

Cons:

The new changes and the reporting. My team really loves the legacy view and has not wanted to switch to the new version. For reports, it would be amazing if there were an easy way to pull a recruiter specific report where I can see how many interviews my team has done in a week, for example, would be great.

Very happy with Greenhouse

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: Overall, I would highly recommend Greenhouse. The only thing that could be improved is ease of use with their data reporting features.

Pros:

I really like how easy it is to flip through candidates, and see information about their application.

Cons:

Their data reporting features could be better, they aren't super intuitive.

Onboarding Platform

4.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: Pleasant experience with Greenhouse. We used this as an onboarding platform to track new and ongoing open job opportunities and manage our referees and interview steps. We use this as well to manage onboarding documents.

Pros:

1. Helps to easily track and manage referrals. The interview process becomes transparent to track the flow. 2. Very attractive UI and user-friendly working dashboard. 3. Chat feature is one of the best things for immediate support and access.

Cons:

1. The major missing is AI functionalities now. 2. Very limited customization is available on the platform either in reporting or dashboard. 3. We faced multiple issues with the integration of greenhouse and outlook

Easy to use applicant tracker

5.0 4 weeks ago New

Comments: Quite simple! You can give different employees different permissions so they can access their roles and their tasks in the application/interview process.

Pros:

Easy to navigate, simple to track pipeline, able to add comments and tag coworkers in review. You can easily see all the interview notes from previous interviews and what steps are coming up. Scheduling seems pretty straightforward, although I haven't used that feature.

Cons:

Sometimes accessing interview notes isn't super intuitive, but I'm not in the app every day so I'm sure I would get used to it. No substantial feedback!

Good tool, nothing special

4.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: Good, but nothing exceptional or game changing. Meets expectations.

Pros:

Mostly intuitive to use and doesn't require training to be able to use

Cons:

When searching for a role or candidate, sometimes it took a few different angles and routes before I found the information I wanted

Greenhouse is great for managing applications!

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Greenhouse is an essential part of the recruiting process. From keeping our pipelines healthy, dispositioning candidates in a timely fashion, and all other important functions, Greenhouse helps us grow!

Pros:

Greenhouse has a bit of a learning curve. This is NOT to say that it's difficult to use, but to say that it has many features that take time to educate the teams on. I like how you can extensively see user history and merge candidate profiles.

Cons:

The scheduling feature leaves some things to be desired. With other apps like GoodTime you get better interviewer data that allows you to identify trends that optimize the interview process.

Alternatives Considered: Workday HCM

Best ATS there is for scale and functionality

4.0 2 years ago

Pros:

It definitely has the most features and flexibility for recruiters & candidate management + interview processes + templatizing + feedback submission.

Cons:

It's not as great for sourcers to track information, but the Gem integration helps out a lot. I wish there could be some customization in candidate surveys based on teams, HMs, etc

Alternatives Considered: Lever

Reasons for Switching to Greenhouse: Better features, more intuitive, and overall easier workflow. Everything from permission setting, merging duplicates, seeing the necessary info was easier with Greenhouse. Lever has too much overhead. As a note, this review is based on my feedback from the past 7+ years of using Greenhouse not the most recent job. I'm actively looking to get a current startup I'm consulting for to move from Lever to Greenhouse.

Cons:

I wish the system was with a modern style!

The cream of the crop of ATS

5.0 last year

Comments: Rapidly growing needs to scale that Twilio experienced in 2021-2022 its recruitment efforts to meet increased hiring demands. We used Greenhouse ATS to automate job postings and implement bulk actions for efficient candidate management. With the system's scalability and robust reporting, Twilio was able to handle a higher volume of applicants, maintain hiring standards, and quickly identify areas for process optimization.

Pros:

Greenhouse ATS is a remarkable tool that stands out from others. One of its key strengths is its intuitive and user-friendly interface, making it effortless for recruiters and hiring teams to navigate and manage the hiring process efficiently. With its seamless integrations with various job boards and seamless collaboration features, Greenhouse ATS is truly a comprehensive solution that enhances productivity and helps organizations build exceptional teams.

Cons:

The complexity and learning curve associated with setting up and customizing the system. It can require time and technical expertise to fully leverage its capabilities, which may pose challenges for less tech-savvy users or smaller organizations with limited resources. Lack of built-in email templates, which can be time-consuming when communicating with candidates. The system's reporting and analytics capabilities are not as robust or customizable as one ideally preferred.

A good ATS but could use some additional features to uplevel to the current AI market

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall greenhouse is a GOOD system, but not GREAT. I've worked with them in the past, as well as other systems such as lever, and feel they could do a fair bit to be the best in class ATS (which they were on track to be several years ago). I'm still using them, and am hopeful that their product roadmap will get them there!

Pros:

I really love the search tool, you're able to search key words in resumes to narrow down on ideal candidates. I do wish there was a slightly better function for this (maybe in the future you could type in key words during applicant review and have those applications pop up?).It's also great that you can put notes tagging other folks so they're able to see key bits of information or profiles of interest.

Cons:

One feature that I've found both extremely valuable AND lacking is the self scheduling tool. If you would like to set up ONE interview - the tool works fantastic. But if you would like to - for example - set up a panel of 2 interviews, or an interview that has two interviewers, the tool does not function. It also can't reschedule if someone would like to choose a different time slot. Though the tool is good in theory, it certainly does not meet expectations. Additionally, we've struggled with the user functionality for our manager. It takes a lot of training to get them in the system, and don't even get me started on trying to get their google calendar synced with the system...

Strong feature offering and great integrations for mid to large size companies.

4.0 2 years ago

Pros:

The greenhouse layout is very intuitive for an ATS and tracking candidates from start to finish could not be simpler.

Cons:

The search function still doesn't work well with phone numbers which is a huge minus when you miss a candidate call. The metrics and stats tracking could be improved significantly.

I don't use it super often, but it's fairly simple to use when I need it

5.0 last year

Pros:

I can quickly get a referral in and that person is followed up with within 24 to 48 hours, which is super quick when you are waiting to hear back for a job.

Cons:

I don't use it enough to remember how to access it without my company reminding me how to use it, but other than that, it does what I need it to do

Good ATS with possible improvements to UI

4.0 last year

Comments: As an external recruiter many clients have required me to use greenhouse an it has always been a breeze.

Pros:

It is very straight forward to include people in the required steps and all the information is very clear.

Cons:

The UI could use some improvement as it is not really aesthetically pleasing and the flow is not very modern.

Great Tool for Staffing Services and Recruiting

4.0 2 years ago

Pros:

Personally used this tool for employee referral , recruitment and application tracking. Its easy to use with a very simple interface. Great for quick ramp up and other HR services.

Cons:

Integration with Social media and other useful 3rd party services is missing. Better Search (Text based) of Candidates. Schedule management can be improved

Easy to use ATS with excellent integrations and easy design

4.0 2 years ago

Pros:

It's also crucial to be able to arrange appointments directly in Greenhouse and view the hiring managers' schedules. I picked it up quickly, and sources and recruiters may easily utilize it on a daily basis. I utilize the reminders function the most since I really appreciate it. Greenhouse reporting is still today by far the most complete and user-friendly. We need to move forward right away to assist us actually tailoring every stage of the process, including scorecards and our approach, to guarantee we're not being prejudiced. This includes developing tactics to help locate and advance individuals that satisfy particular categories. I appreciate how open they are to suggestions and how they work to make the product better.

Cons:

I wish there was a way to alter the demographic questions and the candidate survey questions. The only drawback is that a few integrations didn't function with the previous systems we utilized, forcing us to move or change accounts. If it looked more like a high-quality website, I may appreciate it more, but again, this is so little that it would never stop me from recommending GH. Postings for jobs are another instance. You must publish the same job many times if you want candidates to believe you have positions available in each city.

Great ATS tool - one of the most popular CRM tools out there

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

Great ATS tool - helps recruiters keep track of sourced candidates as well as pipeline of job applicants through the start to finish stage - a great CRM. Does both HRIS + ATS elements if you customize it

Cons:

Best management to guarantee talent search and recruitment is completed transparently

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Greenhouse has enhanced our capabilities by accessing the best talents, as well as streamlining the interview and appointment procedures, and ensuring that all these processes are carried out with high transparency, ensuring to a large extent that the job is given to the right person.

Pros:

I love the fact that Greenhouse provides our organization, especially the human resources department, with many possibilities to publish job advertisements and also receive resumes from those interested and filter them to reach the main candidates for the job. Greenhouse ensures that all these processes are carried out in complete transparency, so that a comprehensive file is designed for each candidate that includes his basic information as well as the comments of the superiors on the interview as well as the evaluation procedures. Through Greenhouse, we have a database that includes an archive of the best applicants for the vacancies we announced with the evaluations of the company's officials so that we can use it at any time when needed to appoint a new member to one of the vacancies. I also like the possibilities of linking with Linked Job so that we can publish employment advertisements and also obtain lists of the most suitable candidates for the advertised job vacancy and send invitations to them to apply or conduct interviews directly.

Cons:

I love the fact that Greenhouse is easy to use and more flexible than other similar systems; all the procedures we implement to reach the best candidates are smooth, and the support teams at Greenhouse are always ready to answer any inquiries and provide the required support.

Phenomenal features, easy to use - but extremely high priced, not great support/export

3.0 7 years ago

Comments: Helpful to map out a recruitment journey in one place. But can be done with more control of your data in many other HR tools.

Pros:

Intuitive features and easy to process between steps Helps to ensure consistency between interviews, plans, and third party integrations for staff intake and hiring. Easy to post jobs and link multiple job posts to the same position internally (newer posts get more applications, but don't need a new job inside the portal) Allows for constant hiring, and deep analytics on use of HR teams time and performance - Really not a fit for small or midsize firms, you can tell its great for the enterprise

Cons:

- Support is great initially, then is not as helpful after execution (contract lock in) - Pricing is annual, and very high - Hard to justify the ROI for convenience on HR team - Pricing is completely based on size of the company (meaning how much you can afford) vs. the use of the platform or feature set - Prohibitive annual, upfront, and renewal terms - Company tried to renew automatically within contract notification periods, without confirmation/touching base previously, and expected higher contract terms without discussion or proposal - Exporting data is non-functional. Only left with Resumes and not full details, notes, or other data your team may have created (Keep that in mind when spending time analyzing candidates and for legal/compliance) - Really consider how your team will use this, and if it is either a time saver or money maker for recruiting. Chances are, it's not - but it is convenient in one place. But once you're in it - very hard to leave and difficult to offboard.
