Comments: I am unable to update my previous review but I need to make sure future buyers have good info. BRM did provide a full refund of my purchase. I have been following the release of 2.0 in which it is apparent they have fixed the issues with customers booking from their mobile devices. I have since used competing products and am confident BRM is the best software for multiday rentals. The back end of BRM is and always has been amazing in helping to track your inventory, keep up on maintenance, and quickly see the status of your business. I will be moving back to BRM 2.0 in the near future. I have tried or had demos of every competing product and none can match their features. I have not been in contact with BRM since leaving last year, this review was not solicited. If your shop does rentals, especially multiday this is the software you need!


Customer Service. Best rental software for multiday Rentals and links with Lightspeed.


I had listed cons in my last review but they have since been addressed or in the process of being addressed with their BRM 2.0.

River Riders 'Powered by BRM'.

Comments: I'm happy with the increase in capabilities and potential of BRM for River Riders. Based on this I'm confident we can continue to grow our rental operation with BRM.


BRM to Stripe to XERO(accounting software) integration made book keeping much more efficient and online payments increased. When given the option to complete a booking form or express booking via BRM the majority of customers choose to use BRM


Training staff how to make manual bookings and use brm. Setting up bike servicing processes. Glitches with loading the app. Limited functionality on mobile device.

Essential addition

Comments: Overall my experience has been excellent, [SENSITIVE CONTENT] has either helped where required or directed me to the appropriate person or link. Any tickets raised have been resolved in very good time.


The accurate usage data was lacking before, we can accurately price bikes at the end of their use on our fleet. Maintenance records mean no more paper or excel! A massive reduction in man hours. Online booking has transformed our hire business.


For want of a better way of saying it, a grasp of tech makes the setup easier. All covered in help topics and with support. Its easy to get going and navigate but if you are capable with tech and back office of various software you would be much quicker. Nothing off putting but an honest reflection from someone that's about a 6/10 on the tech capability.

Find another rental software company

Comments: We paid for the service. There were issues in communication. Both parties were trying to contact each other but things weren't coming together. Likely due to the big time difference. By the time we were actually getting somewhere communication wise we were already in our busy season and didn't have time to implement the system. We were assured (in writing) that we could start the system where we left off when we got around to doing it. By the time this happened it was the next off season. By then they said we had waited too long and they were keeping our money. They used some lame excuse to explain the promises made in text. In the end it wasn't enough money from half way across the world to do anything about, but they certainly will not get any help with other future customers if it were up to me. Its a shame given we a HUGE fans of Lightspeed and got onto that platform way back in the day when they first started. I haven't ran into a bad software company that plugs into Lightspeed other than BikeRentalManager.com
Its a shame...


It seemed like it was going to be an affordable, quality product. It seemed to have all the functionality we were looking for. Additionally, there are not many other plug-in bike rental software companies for Lightspeed, but Im sure that is changing quickly.

I am very sorry to see that you felt it necessary to leave a second review despite not being a customer of BRM since April. As mentioned in response to your last review, we have received overwhelming positivity from our customers regarding the training and onboarding options available. In this instance, we believe we went above and beyond offering dedicated 1-1 time to set up your store, countless emails from us to answer your questions, and even an offer of a discount. Unfortunately, this did not meet your expectations and I am sorry for that. To address your comment regarding timezone issues. We have always had dedicated staff based on the US, of which you had many engagements with throughout your time with BRM. Once again we are very sorry you continue to be dissatisfied, and we wish you the very best in the future.

Bike Rental Manager. Allows our small family business to operate like a large corporate outfit.

Comments: We have had a couple of small issues along the way but both times IT support have been phenomenal, resolving issues very quickly and explaining the reason the faults occurred. This is a very strong reason alone we continue to use BRM.


We use BRM simply because it offers the easiest way to run our bike hire business the most efficient way possible. From a copy and paste integration into our website to allow for online bookings and payments to inventory management and maintenance abilities. Without these functions integrated into one platform we would have to create and manage multiple spreadsheets and diaries. We are a small family run business and BRM allows us to be agile by keeping operations simple but offers our customers a level of professionalism expected from a large corporate outfit.


I would like more functionality within the reports section. Would like to be able to pull data on cost per asset. cost vs revenue per asset line. Also you cannot report a service entry without the service level resetting to 100. For instance if I had to change an innertube and add cost of part an time, I wouldn't necessarily need to do a service at the same time but if I add it to the system it will reset the service points.
