A fantastic CRM

Comments: I decided to go with OpenCRM to keep track of my business admin. I have found it indispensable for managing my projects, contacts and invoices. I previously relied on spreadsheets and text files, but the move to OpenCRM has helped tie everything together.

Pros:

Keeping track of projects and invoices, simplicity, ease of use, calendar functionality, integrations , customer service and help

Cons:

When I was first setting up, things took a while as I am quite a basic user. There were a lot of settings to switch off that I didn't need.

Alternatives Considered:

A simple to use, highly adaptable system run by people who really care

Comments: Since using OpenCRM our admin has significantly decreased overall as a business as we now have so many automated systems. It's also been great linking up the system with our website, our accounting software and our marketing emails.

Pros:

The system is easy to use, meaning all our staff were able to get up to speed and start using it quickly. The online support is extremely helpful and fast during working hours. You don't have to go through a bot to get to a human who can help! For our business the most important thing about the software was being able to tailor it to our specific needs - without incurring extra charges for adding on different parts of the system. Once we did our initial set up we were good to go.

Cons:

The Campaign email marketing section could be improved - in order to track links in emails you have to manually create them using a wizard and input them into the text. It would be great if all links in campaign emails were automatically tracked and linked to the campaign. But it's a very small issue and I'll put up with it to have the rest of the system working so well.

Comments: Its the first CRM I have worked with, It seems it has lots of feature I don't use or don't know about, but knowing about them would be handy. The UI feels dated and had to use/see where to go.

Pros:

I like the templating of products. So I can group products into a single product so when I add to a quote it adds the whole list. However, I wish these were easier to change. I also like how everything links e.g lead, contact, company, opportunity, and quote.

Cons:

Not being able to auto update quote with either the current exchange rate or with the updated prices of the products. Plus if there was an update button it would help any time a minor change is made to a product.

Don't be scared, dive in

Comments: I am very pleased with the support and ease of use.

Pros:

OpenCRM is very intuitive and if there is anything you're not sure about, customer support is very responsive and knowledgeable.

Cons:

There seems to be inconsistencies with our email syncing with OpenCRM's helpdesk. but this may be pilot error.

Comments: I have personally used OpenCRM in two different business for circa 10 years now. The team have been great and really helpful if we've ever had to contact them. The reports and view functions and that fact that its so tailorable make it a winner for our business. We have designed the 'opportunity' page to manage our training enquiries, from the initial enquiry, through to win, course set up, post course and finance. Our whole process on one page.

Pros:

Its customability. We have tailored the system, page layouts and reports to suit our exact processes to make it streamlined as possible for our team.

Cons:

If i'm being ultra critical and it would be picking holes it looks a little dated compared to other systems but i'd rather have substance over style/
