Best payment processing service for any business
Comments: 5-Star easy-to-use payment processing service, and any time further detail is needed on a transaction to help a customer or resolve an issue, Stripe provides great detail on all transactions making it possible to provide valuable information to customers to resolve issues, and ensure the customer gets what they pay for and the business receives the payment for goods/services as intended.
Pros:
The easiest to use, inexpensive fee structure and top-notch fraud prevention - Stripe is hands-down the best payment processing system I have used in my 10+ years leading Customer Support teams. With the exhaustive detail Stripe provides on every transaction, businesses and customers alike usually have an easy and secure experience checking out with Stripe.
Cons:
Very few cons if any with Stripe. They seem to get things right in most aspects.
Alternatives Considered: PayPal Commerce Platform and Worldpay for Business
Reasons for Choosing Stripe: Ease of use, integration with website POS management systems, fees, regions of availability
Switched From: Worldpay for Business
Reasons for Switching to Stripe: Better overall offering was provided by Stripe
my Stripe review.
Comments: It enables me to do business online knowing that I can accept payments from customers worldwide, it doesn't matter the location I'm doing business at.
Pros:
Its easy to use, and that it can be used everywhere around the globe, this enables businesses to accept payments from customers worldwide.
Cons:
A bit difficult to integrate or customize without professional help.
Almost Destroyed My Business - Stripe Stole From Us
Comments: We implemented Stripe because of its ease of use but it’s turned out to be a nightmare. It’s as though Stripe decided that we are not a legitimate company and targeted us to prove it at any cost. Every few weeks we were asked to produce the same previously requested documents. We have never had a single customer dispute yet they unilaterally decided we were high risk and returned recently charged purchases to our clients who have already stayed at our vacation rental. We went viral with over 5.5 million views of an influencer’s video which caused had a huge uptick in business. I’m not sure if the volume of business caused Stripe to be concerned. They requested a selfie and an upload of the ID they already had on file. After I uploaded the selfie and my US Passport I got a notification that I was now good to go. This was followed by an email two hours later that we were deemed to be too risky and funds would be returned to our clients. Stripe then took money from our bank account and I assume will be sending it to clients who have already stayed at our property. We are hoping these funds will be returned to us. In a nutshell, Stripe stole from us - there were no customer complaints. We contacted the customers and are praying they will send thousands of dollars back to us using another method of payment.
Pros:
Ease of integration with the company I selected for my property management system.
Cons:
Countless re-verification requests with no favorable response after sending business registration and several forms of IDs. Extremely poor customer service with lengthy waiting times for retuned calls. They made the decision to stop supporting my business without a single customer complaint or request for a refund. They rejected payments from a lot of international clients based in Canada and the UK. This caused me to lose a lot of bookings.
Alternatives Considered: Square Payments
Reasons for Switching to Stripe: Perceived ease and ease of integration to my back end property management system.
Great payment solution
Comments: We love using Stripe as our online payment solution and recommend it to our clients.
Pros:
It is very easy to setup on most of the platforms and even can be used on its own. Fees are among the lowest on the market.
Cons:
At the moment no crypto currency payments are available.
Alternatives Considered: SumUp and Elavon
Reasons for Choosing Stripe: Due to lower fees and ease of setting up.
Switched From: PayPal
Reasons for Switching to Stripe: We chose it due to low cost and ease of setup.
Still the leading payment provider for developpers
Pros:
It is quite easy to setup, the fees are quite clear : about 1.5% in EU, 2.5% outside EU. It is quite easy to connect Stripe to other software (Shopify), and you can quite easily integrate Stripe yourself. The support was always quick to respond in my experience
Cons:
There were not many examples of apps that show how to integrate fully with Stripe with custom code. Ideally, I'd like to see an app where you can subscribe to Stripe for each language, so you can more easily get started with your project.
Internatinnal Payment
Comments: Stripe is a highly capable platform for online payments, but its complexity and the occasional account holds can be challenging to deal with
Pros:
It offers a rich set of features, powerful APIs, and excellent documentation, making it a strong option for businesses of all sizes
Cons:
I haven’t enjoyed dealing with the occasional account holds or freezes, which can be really disruptive for business operations
Good for online payments
Comments: Stripe has been my go-to for setting up online stores and collecting payments through my website.
Pros:
Stripe is easy to use when collecting card or bank payments virtually or through the Stripe machine.
Cons:
Navigating it can be challenging if you don't know what they've named specific settings or where they've hidden them.
Five stars for Stripe
Comments: As an accountant, I am happy with Stripe as it syncs well with QBO.
Pros:
Stripe is used by most of my clients because it is easy to get started and fees are competetive
Cons:
Nothing it works well and have no complaints
CC processing made easy
Pros:
Easy to use, integrates with other software, efficient
Cons:
No real cons besides unavoidable service fees
Stripe review
Comments: My overall experience with Stripe is positive but not really standout, I’ll be continuing use of the program
Pros:
What I liked most about stripe is it’s compatibility with many online marketplaces
Cons:
What I liked least about stripe is it’s weak layout when compared to its competitors
Best for small business
Comments: Great, hope that if I need customer service it is a better experience.
Pros:
Stripe was super easy to integrate, easy for clients to pay, and never have issues.
Cons:
I can't see a report detailing what client paid what, but my other program does that for me. Customer support when I switched banks took them 4 weeks of not listening to me to fix my accounts. They asked for the same documentation over 8 times literally. Once fixed though, it was fixed.
Alternatives Considered: Square Payments
Reasons for Choosing Stripe: There are no fees with Stripe as I pass the processing fee onto the clients.
Switched From: GatewayAPI
Reasons for Switching to Stripe: Ease of integration, no fees, and no equipment needed.
I really like Stripe
Comments: Stripe has been very useful in my business to receive payment from customers all over the world. I also like that they have implemented faster payouts
Pros:
I like that you can use Stripe to take debit and credit card payments and the charges are not as high as some other payment platforms. It is also easy to set up.
Cons:
Some of the functionality seems clunky, especially for recurring payments. You have to manually set the end date.
Stripe for Online Business Owners
Comments: I really have enjoyed using stripe! I am so grateful for a secure place to take clients payments.
Pros:
I really love that Stripe integrates with so many different platforms. I love that you can set up autopayments so that I can set up memberships with ease, and don't have to chase anyone down for their monthly fees.
Cons:
I wish that it was easier for folx to pay with debit, or paypal with stripe, so that all integrations could be in one place.
Run if your Transactions are high 3 and 4 figures.
Comments: Nightmare, from the beginning to the end.No customer support no reasoning behind their decisions
Pros:
I didn't like a single thing about stripe. As far as I'm concerned their big con company.
Cons:
I held a stripe account for 6 years.Mostly smaller transactions. Then we started getting into government contracting and running 4 figures transactions. They were froze all of them for ninety days
beware of Stripe and fees not being transparent
Comments: I would not reccommend I would say stay away and use anything else
Pros:
it processes cards fine but it is not good
Cons:
deceptive practices and raising fees constantly
Alternatives Considered: QuickBooks Online
Reasons for Switching to Stripe: I thought it was better but I am canceling and migrating data
Simple to use yet powerfully adaptive and flexible for individual needs
Comments: Stripe has made accepting card payments virtually easy and streamlined for my practice. It also integrates very well with my EMR platform, which is an added bonus.
Pros:
Simple and easy to use interface! Favourite feature is the stripe express app, which makes managing payments and trends very easy especially on-the-go.
Cons:
No dislikes noticed at this time. Very streamlined and easy to navigate software.
Alternatives Considered: Square Payments
Reasons for Switching to Stripe: Due to easier integration with EMR platform I am currently using.
We love Stripe. I can monitor our payments very efficiently, and effectively.
Comments: We have never had any issues with Stripe. We find it to be a safe, and efficient way for our customers to pay.
Pros:
We like the ease of receiving payments and the safety of their monitoring system.
Cons:
There is nothing that I can think of that I can even say I don't like.
Absolutely Essential
Comments: Stripe is a absolutely essential. You'd be doing yourself a disservice if you use anything other than Stripe when building payments into your business. I've worked in many different industries at this stage that use Stripe in different ways, and it works flawlessly every time.
Pros:
The developer experience is by far the best of any software I have ever used. Their documentation is crystal clear for even financial novices, and walks you through every possible eventuality. They make it trivial to build payments into your app.
Cons:
I don't particularly have any complaints at all. If I had to pick one gripe, it's that the fees can be quite high, but they're about on par with the rest of the market from what I can see, and they are well worth the money.
Poor customer service
Pros:
Ease of processing transactions Electronically
Cons:
Poor customer service and refunds given to clients quite often without providing us justification
Stripe: Empowering Businesses with Secure, Seamless Payment Processing
Comments: My overall experience with Stripe has been overwhelmingly positive. The platform offers an intuitive user interface, comprehensive features, and reliable payment processing capabilities. The integration process was smooth, and Stripe's documentation and support resources were helpful in resolving any issues that arose. Overall, Stripe has provided a seamless and efficient payment solution for my needs. But as i said the i didn't like its fee structure so yeah that's all.
Pros:
What I like most about Stripe is its user-friendly interface and making payment processing seamless and efficient for businesses of all sizes with all the required features and Data security.
Cons:
One downside of using Stripe which i think is its fee structure, which might be considered slightly higher compared to some other payment processing platforms, especially for smaller businesses (not with the multi billion dollar company )with lower transaction volumes.
Stripe is easy to use with several software platforms.
Comments: I am able to link up Stripe to several different software platforms such as Simplybook.me and Mariana Tek. I also used Wix with Stripe.
Pros:
It is easy for clients to make payments.
Cons:
It can be overly complicated for the admin.
Clunky and confusing
Pros:
What I liked about stripe was their ability to be a middle man without intuit or Square. I also like the integration with specific websites and services like Buy me a Coffee and Beatstars.
Cons:
What a confusing slow mess of a product with a terrible app to boot. If you don’t receive payments through them regularly they will put your entire account on hold forcing you to call to never speak to a human.
Easy onboarding and quick money transfer
Pros:
It's very fast to sign up and go through onboarding. Stripe works with a great number of countries all over the world and the speed of money transfer from your Stripe account to your bank account is rather high (1-3 days)
Cons:
Their fees are not reasonable and they charge you additionally for those features, which are commonly provided by payment gateways by default.
Great Software for Web
Comments: really happy wont be looking elsewhere unless something happens
Pros:
Simple to use and setup, no real training needed, staff are happy using it
Cons:
costs could be better however features overweigh this
DO NOT USE STRIPE - its a CON!
Comments:
The site is clunky and not intuitive to use.
I wish I had read the very small fine print about them keeping their fees.
It seems that dishonesty is part of the DNA of all large corporations these days.
Pros:
Easy to integrate and the security system seems pretty good, but you dont really know until its too late.
Cons:
I had a customer pay their AUD$7000 invoice twice. I refunded the second payment but Stripe kept the entire AUD$393 of fees !! For doing NOTHING!!! But it gets better. Stripe took 5.7% in fees when my international fees are only 3.5%. They claimed that it just covers their costs. Ironic how Paypal and the banks only charge a couple dollars for the same thing. They are fraudulent and dishonest.
