Reviews of RoboHead
Great for marketing and design teams!
Comments: Good, clean project management
Pros:
Easy to use "badges" (like on iOS apps) shows you how many items you're working on, or how many items need to be reviewed. Integrates with email seamlessly. Solid project management platform for design teams or marketers alike.
Cons:
EXCEL SPREADSHEETS (if you've ever heard of those) are not supported for Markup View in Review mode! Had to do a double take on that one. Such an intuitive and organized project management tool, except for that glaring oversight.
Designer Ease of Use
Comments: It has been great, it is easy to navigate and understand where things should go and/or find what you are looking for.
Pros:
It is easy to organize tasks and see what is on your plate for the day/week. You can also quickly talk back and forth with co-workers to get necessary answers easily.
Cons:
It is tricky to note which tasks are a priority within one day.
Graphic Designer point of view
Comments: I like it despite the glitches I can still work and get the Job done.
Pros:
In my end is easy to communicate with agents with their projects.
Cons:
RoboHead has glitches that have not been fixed yet, since some of the latest versions. Glitches like missing links Sample: Like when I come from an email link then I click on "REVIEW" I have to click again on "REVIEW" to go to the actual review, also sometimes lags too much that I thought I went to another project and even though I click on the new project, it takes me back to the previews project I was working on. Also, Agents complain about not being able to log in. I don't know exactly why it's happening, maybe because they have poor reception or bad internet location.

Thanks for the review, Rene. We've shared your comment about Agent's issues logging in with our Support team and we'll look into potential reasons why. Cheers!
Using Robo for DCN sales assets
Comments: Easy to use, workflow is good. It would be better to have AEM integrated into the system. But this might be an HPE issue
Pros:
Simple, nice paper trail. I like the email intergrations
Cons:
Difficult to edit docs within the system
Excellent project management solution
Comments: I highly recommend Robohead as a project management solution. The platform has greatly streamlined our marketing workflow and enhanced project collaboration and reporting.
Pros:
Robohead has made project management and creative review in our Marketing Department so much more efficient. Through the use of project templates, task dependencies, project initiation and progress management is streamlined. The responsiveness of the Robohead support team is very good in the rare instance of a problem and they are always updating and improving the platform.
Cons:
The setup of project templates can be time consuming initially, but well worth the effort as this streamlines the project setup and management for reoccurring projects.
Director, Admissions & Recruitment
Comments: I think it is a very good product for higher education. I would recommend it to other colleagues.
Pros:
It assists us with managing projects between Marketing and Admissions.
Cons:
Sometimes the comments are difficult to manage when you have more than 2 people requesting updates.
Excellent Tool for Seamless Team Collaboration
Comments: Overall my experience with RoboHead has been excellent. The user-friendly interface and the seamless team collaboration capabilities have significantly improved our workflow. Continuous updates and innovations ensure that the tool remains great.
Pros:
I love that the tool offers so many features for providing feedback. It's user-friendly and perfect for multi-person projects, helping us stay connected and on top of our tasks. You can track team progress, communicate effectively, and keep everything organized in one place. In addition to that, the regular updates and continuous innovation make the tool even better over time.
Cons:
While I wouldn't necessarily call them cons, I do have a suggestion for improvement. It would be great to have the ability to attach images directly to the comments. This way, if I need to replace an image, the designer can easily download the file from the comment itself, without having to navigate to the files section.
Plan Communications Liaison
Comments: I have utilized Robohead daily for nearly 4 years. I have not had any issues with the tool.
Pros:
Robohead is easy to navigate. Easy reviews, notes, and approvals compared to other task/project management tools.
Cons:
Project display and search should be easier to locate past projects.
Project Management Made Easy
Comments: Robohead has been a game-changer for our marketing department. The ability to create schedules for our different types of projects, each with their unique tasks is key. The review capabilities allow multiple parties to review a job simultaneously, speeding up our workflow.
Pros:
Robohead is easy to use and provides the tools necessary for our team to manage our project schedules and conduct internals reviews.
Cons:
Robohead randomly logs you out sometimes.
RoboHead Thoughts
Comments: I use RoboHead atleast a few times a week and it is easy to do my review and make my remarks and turn them in with little time wasted. Super user friendly:)
Pros:
I enjoy using RoboHead as it is easy to leave comments, make suggestions, it is very user friendly!
Cons:
At first I had some problems saving my comments/suggestions but it is a quick learn.
Amazing customer service but missing some features
Comments: Overall our internal client partners feel that RH gets the job done. We have several older, blue-collar men on our sales and national teams so the user experience and not having an app is a trip up for them (they refuse to use it). Back end is mainly where our frustrations lie with reporting (we have a call set up with customer service to see if we can have a breakthrough there) and not being able to create multiple forms for different types of projects.
Pros:
The review tool was a game-changer for our team. Real-time problem-solving has been a huge help for us as well. Anytime we have a question about anything regarding the software we can chat with someone almost always right away without having to go through a phone call or setting up a meeting with an account rep and a customer service person. We also really appreciate that tech support is included in our plan without an additional fee.
Cons:
Reporting continues to be a constant struggle for us. I inherited this software which was chosen by a design manager with HEAVY influence from our web developer who has moved to a different role and isn't available to fix these up for us. We have to run multiple reports to get specific numbers (a lot of which has been negated by the monthly email we get from RH so that's a huge help). The user experience is still very clunky especially when compared side by side with competitors (Wrike, WeWork) and not having an iPad or Mobile app is a bit detriment.
Alternatives Considered:
Software Review
Comments: RoboHead solves a lot of challenges that we would have if we didn't have a software like this. Our little team of 2 people process and traffic anywhere from 100 to 240 active projects within our RoboHead account at any given time. There is no way that our little team of 2 could keep all of that straight and get half the amount of work done that we do if we didn't have a software that could help us track and automate to help keep those projects moving.
Pros:
I like that there are automation features within the software itself. It's very helpful to be able to set something up on the front end and rarely have to adjust once it gets going.
Cons:
I with there was more automation. In a perfect world, I would love for a request to get submitted, you look it over, approve it, assign the team, choose all of the templates needed and the system does the rest for you and builds out Campaigns and individual projects. In addition, it adjusts the timelines based on the start date & due date that you indicate and auto adjusts the task durations based on this information and while using the data from the Resource Utilization Chart too.
RoboHead is a valuable project management tool
Comments: If you've got a guide sheet when you first begin using it, or a few training sessions, it's easy to get accustomed to it. Once you know your way around, it really is a valuable tool for your workplace.
Pros:
It's so integrated with the teams working on the project. Everyone knows the status of the project, who's working on what, what tasks are completed, and if the project is on its timeline for completion. Love that it keeps me organized with task reminders.
Cons:
It's dependent on the people who use it. If one person habitually doesn't update their tasks or ignores the reminders...it can delay the project's progress.
Love My Robohead!
Comments: Tracking budget numbers was an issue, but with a deeper dive into Robohead, I found that Robohead could assist in creating and then populating reports that I could share with team members.
Pros:
How do I love Robohead? Let me count the ways :-) The ease of navigation and use makes my daily tasks 1000x easier! I interact with 30 people or more on a daily basis just with their Robohead projects, so the features and tools save me so much time.
Cons:
No, please don't change a thing. No issues with integration or onboarding of Robohead
Easy to track!
Comments: I've been using it for the last couple months and have loved it. Makes the process so smooth for tracking. I've told my previous employer they should look into because it's so easy to track things.
Pros:
Being able to see what projects I have and when things are due. Being able to keep track of my freelancers projects as well.
Cons:
The ease of changing out someones name or a dropdown function.
Aquent Developer SharePoint
Comments: Amazing tool will recommend
Pros:
Way to track new projects and add notes to project keep tracking ours
Cons:
nothing at all! work for us all the time we do new projects and get notes over email with changes on the projects
Game changer
Pros:
Robohead allows you to capture everything in one place. Prior to implementation, our team relied on spreadsheets and email. This made it difficult to track down changes, capture approvals and know which projects were in progress and on time. With Robohead, we have one source that captures all project notes, corresponding documents and approvals. As a project manager, I can easily log in and see what step each project is on.
Cons:
In the review boards, it would be nice if we could hide previous versions within one board without having to create a second one.
Reviews from Dental Network Development team
Comments: Overall my experience has been very positive
Pros:
User friendly, easy way to communicate back and forth as a approver or submitter.
Cons:
the template utilized for new approval, seems complex
I love robohead
Comments: We keep track of all of our marketing documents for our health plan
Pros:
I love all the features especially tagging people in the notes sections
Cons:
I think the search tool function could be a bit better, like searching for key terms
Robohead
Comments: great
Pros:
The ease of use and the interface. It is very user friendly and easily allows me to track my requests for follow up
Cons:
When I choose an option and complete the form I have to go back and reenter some fields again
Marketing Traffic Manager
Comments:
In my role as administrator and marketing traffic manager, I have used Robohead in all its versions since 2011, while at two different companies. Robohead gives me the tools I need to do my job in overseeing all the department's projects, deadlines, resources, and tasks, from start to finish.
The basic construct of the project is very good. Functionality, we're able to categorize a job as a request or project, and to easily identify whether it's active or archived. All our projects are entered here, and all related files are attached to their projects. The library is a place where we store the most sought-after assets. I customize reports to suit the needs of our three weekly project meetings. Fortunately there is enough flexibility built into the filtering that we can always generate a meaningful report, or at least one that serves as a baseline, a starting point. To me, the key is defining your project fields such that you can sort, filter, and report out on the most important information you manager or associates would ever need.
One of the biggest selling points for us is the review process and its related functionality. It gave us the platform to reach out beyond our internal marketing group to other teams in the company or elsewhere, and to be able to capture everyone's input in one space. The notification process has gone a long way in making Robohead as functionally practical as it is. I think it might still be a little too complicated, but it's an effective communication and audit tool in the system.
No software is perfect, however we appreciate that the developers are continually working on Robohead. What would make the application incredible is dynamic scheduling of some typeWhen schedules get behind, it takes considerable task management on my part to ensure that due dates in everyone's My Work are updated and meaningful. Also, I'd like to see one function return'actual versus projected task due dates.
Pros:
Flexibility - you allow the user (administrator) to easily manipulate the system to suit our needs.
Cons:
No connection between task predecessors and tasks displayed in My Work. Users don't look at the bigger picture, so if a job is running behind there is no way for them to know that unless they go into the project itself. Most users rely on My Work, and that doesn't always sync up with reality. Requires manual intervention by someone to always be manipulating the tasks.
Perfect for Creative & Marketing teams, and so much more
Comments: We are now not only tracking our projects but capturing data that will enable us to report on where energy is spent, plan for resource allocation, isolate mis-spent energies, and bring order to what was once far more chaotic.
Pros:
RoboHead is a fantastic tool and I love how much of the power is in my own hands to customize it to fit the needs of our Creative department and our larger business needs. Of particular mention is the phenomenal support, from regular training webinars and online documentation to the live support team who is knowledgable, fast, and friendly.
Cons:
There are features I would love to add, but I also know that the RoboHead team listens to their users and incorporates those learnings into future updates. I never feel stuck with the application always being the way it is currently. Their scheduled updates always introduce new, welcome changes.

Thanks for the kind words, George! We're happy to have you as a customer and advocate!
Robohead is the best project management tool I have seen in 20 years of project management
Comments: One of the best overall customer services experiences I have had with any company. Extremely responsive and always willing to help!!
Pros:
I love that templates are customizable and tasks for projects are automated to go to the next steps. There are Gantt charts that are so easy to manage and rearrange schedules. I know where all the projects are at any given time based on the schedules and workflows. Customer support is excellent and extremely responsive. Whenever I reach out about any questions, I have a response or answer within that hour. Robohead has also been great when listening to clients and roll out enhancements often.
Cons:
There were very minor cons but Robohead has been great with listening to their clients and I have seen many enhancements in this past year to help with some of the minor cons have been.
Great, but has room for more innovation
Comments: Overall I think this is a decent solution, it has room for growth
Pros:
I like the project templates and the fact that you can make those without any programming.
Cons:
The software is a little quirky when it comes to automation- for instance rejected proofs- they should notify you when one has been rejected, also when in the My work tab, clicking on a project takes you to modify the project- when really I just want to work on the project so that's kind of frustrating- Also the dashboard has very little value to me as someone who uses the software- I want to see my task not a list of metrics showing me how many are blocked- Again there may be a way to set this up- but By default Robohead comes in a mode that most people don't need. It feels sometimes like the software is bootleg and things are just fixed quickly with patches and hot swaps- It has so much potential- especially with the acquisition of DaVinci Workgroups- both aren't perfect by any means but if you sit down and think about the real touch points and pain points your customers have with your product- you are bound to make something brilliant! hope this helps
Robohead Review
Comments: Easy to use tool.
Pros:
Dashboard is very helpful to see all projects at a high level and where they are all at in the process.
Cons:
I wish you could take reviews and download the edits into pdf.
