## Reviews

### "Timekeeping and labor distribution, finally simplified" — 4.0/5

> **Maggie** | *20 August 2026* | Marketing & Advertising | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: What I like most is how quickly we got up and running, we were tracking time and running labor distribution the same day, not months into some heavy implementation. The daily time entry is simple for the whole team, the approval flow is clean, and the immutable audit trail gives me real peace of mind on the compliance side. Running labor distribution went from a manual, error-prone spreadsheet exercise to something that just works. For a small team, getting this level of timekeeping and cost distribution at this price point is honestly hard to beat
>
> **Cons**: Honestly not much. There's a bit of a learning curve at the start as you set up your projects and get the team into the habit of logging time daily, but once that's in place it runs smoothly. A few more built-in tutorials or templates would make the first week even easier.
>
> Great experience so far. We use WiseCost for timekeeping and labor distribution, and it's been a clear upgrade, fast to set up, easy for the team to adopt, and a big time-saver on what used to be a manual process. The approval flow and audit trail make compliance low-effort, and the support has been responsive. For a small team, it hits the right balance of capability and simplicity.

### "Accurate labor allocation and real control over project accounting" — 5.0/5

> **Magalí Natalia** | *31 August 2026* | Marketing & Advertising | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: From an accounting standpoint, what we value most is being able to input labor allocation correctly and with confidence. We can distribute each team member's hours and labor cost across the right projects and clients, so the numbers actually reflect where the work goes instead of rough estimates. It also makes oversight really easy: supervisors can review the team's logged hours at a glance, spot anything that looks off, and approve with full transparency before it flows into the numbers. That accuracy carries straight into our cost control — we see the real cost of every project, catch budget deviations early, and close the books with clean, defensible figures. On top of that it's genuinely easy to use, so the whole team adopted it quickly, and support has been fast and helpful whenever we had a question. For a communications agency, the value for the price is excellent.
>
> **Cons**: Honestly, we have very little to complain about. If we had to ask for anything, it would be to keep adding small improvements over time, but so far it covers everything we need without any friction.
>
> WiseCost is the tool we use to run the accounting and cost side of our agency. In practice, it's a cost accounting and labor allocation platform: it lets you track team hours, allocate labor cost accurately across projects and clients, control project budgets, and turn all of that into clear cost reports. For a communications agency like ours, that means we always know the real cost of each project, we can allocate every hour to the right client, and we close the books with reliable, defensible numbers. If you're a services business or agency that needs accurate labor allocation, project cost control, and time tracking in one place — without the complexity or price of enterprise accounting software — WiseCost does exactly that. It replaced a messy mix of spreadsheets for us and made cost accounting genuinely simple.

### "Finally know which projects actually make money" — 4.0/5

> **Diego** | *24 August 2026* | Computer Software | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Real-time profitability per project is the standout. We log the team's hours against each project and WiseCost ties them to costs and revenue, so we can see the P\&L of every client and every job without exporting anything into a spreadsheet. It sits on top of our accounting and syncs with QuickBooks, so the numbers we look at are the real numbers, not estimates. For a design and development studio, having time tracking, costs, and financials in one place has been a real change in how we price and plan work.
>
> **Cons**: The initial setup takes some patience. Getting projects, tags/dimensions, and custom reports configured the way we wanted them took us a while to get right, and a couple of the reports we were after needed some customization up front. Once it's set up it runs smoothly, but budget time for onboarding rather than expecting it to be plug-and-play.
>
> Very positive overall. We came in wanting one thing — to stop finding out at month-end whether a project was profitable — and WiseCost solved exactly that. After the initial setup it became part of our daily workflow: the team logs hours, we track costs per project, and leadership gets a clear financial picture from the dashboards. It hasn't replaced our bookkeeping in QuickBooks; it adds the project-level profitability layer that our accounting alone didn't give us. If your studio bills by time and needs to actually see margins per project, it's well worth the setup effort.
