### "Koalr showed us who AI recommends in our category, and how we can be shown more" — 5.0/5

> **Pros**: The competitor and citation tracking. We sell a commercial kitchen food label printer, and until Koalr we had no way of knowing whether we came up when someone asked ChatGPT or Perplexity to recommend tools in our category, or who came up instead. Koalr shows that per engine, and the Sources view shows which sites the models are actually pulling from to build those answers.

That second part turned into real work. I used Kevin (the AI support chat in Koalr) to pull the cited websites, stripped out the competitors, and was left with a list of industry blogs and resource sites we'd never engaged with. We did outreach off that list and have published collaborative articles on a few of them, which has helped both our AI visibility and our domain authority.

The interface deserves credit too; it's easy to get a quick read on where you stand, then drill down as far as you want on a single prompt. The llms-full.txt generator is a nice touch as well: fast and accurate enough that I didn't need to edit it much.

> **Cons**: Kevin surfaces so much at once that the first few sessions are a bit overwhelming, there's no obvious "start here." Asking it to break the analysis into steps solves that completely though, and it does that well, so it's a learning curve for the user rather than a flaw.

> Straightforwardly positive. Setup was quick, and we were getting usable insight within the first week rather than after a month of configuration. It's replaced guesswork with something we can actually report on, and reporting that used to mean manually querying prompts now takes minutes. 

For the money it's been one of the easier tools to justify, mostly because the output translates directly into actions in the Actions tab: which sites to approach, which prompts we're losing, which competitors are winning where, how to improve our website with schema or on-page content optimisation. The GEO audit tool has been particularly useful for us in analysing our website and making sure we are hitting all of the quick wins.
