The embedded player is designed well, looking nice and being easy for viewers to use. It's definitely better than other services I've used, like Vimeo, which can be slow. The initial setup was very easy too, which I appreciate. I am receiving extra storage for providing this review. > > **Cons**: Copying video settings could be better. For example, it would be incredibly helpful if there were a feature that allowed users to create and save shared embed presets. > > I find Livid makes it easy and fast to embed videos on web pages. Video's load quickly and I haven't come across any issues. ----- ### "Simple, cost effective video hosting" — 5.0/5 > **Stefan** | *12 September 2026* | E-Learning | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10 > > **Pros**: I love the simplicity of Livid. I've moved my videos from Vimeo to Livid and whilst I'm not exactly a "power" user, Livid certainly does all I need, including the ability to restrict embedding on your chosen domains. The help and support if also comprehensive. > > **Cons**: I'm still getting to grips with the features and layout in the admin area and sometimes struggle to find what I'm looking for. > > I started using Livid as soon as I signed up, without looking at the help sections and found it fairly straightforward to use. It does everything I need from video hosting which is basically uploading and embedding in my website. It would be nice to be able to restrict video access by requiring an optin, but that's about all I'd add. ----- ### "Glad we made the move\!" — 5.0/5 > **Steve** | *11 September 2026* | Entertainment | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10 > > **Pros**: The ease of setting up our folder hierarchy, and the ability to quickly move videos from one folder to another. The speed of uploading and processing is also significantly faster than our previous platform we were using. > > **Cons**: At the moment, the ability to add additional logins is causing a few problems for my remote team, but Livid have this on their development timeline. > > Overall, great response to presale questions, confirmation of some concers we had with the effort of closing our old platform service down which was cumbersome and time consuming, however time was made back with the overall speed of uploading in batches. ----- ### "Inexpensive, basic but works fine" — 4.0/5 > **simon** | *9 September 2026* | Photography | Recommendation rating: 7.0/10 > > **Pros**: Inexpensive, easy to use, superior video quality to free options like youtube etc with less restrictions. > > **Cons**: Basic, at the time of writing it lacks paywall integration so not a complete solution if the video content is intended to be sold etc. > > Easy, as a video hosting platform it does what it does. Customer support seems well above average as it feels like you're actually dealing the core people behind the company. ----- ### "Livid - The Best Video Hosting We've Found" — 5.0/5 > **Simeon** | *9 September 2026* | Accounting | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10 > > **Pros**: I've tried several video hosting sites and Livid has been the greatest value for the money, easiest to use for video upload (drag \& drop or import), and great customization of the video player. Livid allows customizable hosting of videos including your own branding and options for removing Livid branding. Livid does not force advertising on any videos \& this is amazing\! Everything that anyone would need for video hosting seems to be included and very generous storage space. > > **Cons**: I haven't found anything yet that I don't like about Livid. There are a few items on their roadmap that other users have suggested that they already have in que to be completed. They are very responsive to suggestions and feedback from those using Livid. > > Overall, we plan to use Livid for our business as long as Livid exists. We have more storage than we will ever use. We love the customization of the player and ability to add our own branding. We love that we can use this to host videos for our websites, forms, blog, etc. We also love the responsiveness from Support for Livid if ever needed and that they take suggestions and feedback from the public to help improve their products. Best value that we have found and we've tried vimeo, wistia, youtube, adilo, etc. I find some of those very comparable in offerings but still don't compare to the ease of use of Livid's UI and affordability. ----- Page: 1 / 4\ Next: [Next page](https://www.capterra.co.uk/software/1086055/Livid?page=2) ## Links - [View on Capterra](https://www.capterra.co.uk/software/1086055/Livid) ## This page is available in the following languages | Locale | URL | | en | | | en-AE | | | en-AU | | | en-CA | | | en-GB | | | en-IE | | | en-IL | | | en-IN | | | en-NZ | | | en-SG | | | en-ZA | | ----- ## Structured Data
