> **Pros**: Compatibility with previous free version.
Email support - we could send out queries at the end of out (east coast US) workday and get something back the next morning.
Free-to-distribute licensing - we could not have used anything more restrictive.

> **Cons**: Process of buying it through the US Government (not your fault, really...)

> We needed FTPS support, which had been added to the commercial version of the software, so we bought it.  We got excellent support while adding FTPS to our application, so we bought support annually past the initial integration phase.

We didn't need to use the post-integration support, since the software Just Worked, but it was comforting to know the support would be there if needed.
