> **Pros**: HopToDesk is lightweight and works quickly.  It's easy to grab, run, and get going for a remote session without having to deal with installation first.

> **Cons**: The worst aspects of hoptodesk are that, like AnyDesk before it, it feels as though the app's self-contained nature is working against it.  Want to install it as a permanent host on a machine? Set aside a few minutes to logic it out because it doesn't operate like typical programs do in that regard.  The second worst which they claim to be redesigning, is their MFA implementation for logins. It's a weird backwards method where you enroll the host device and then go to a website on it in order to get a code that only arrives to that device as registered.  This might be fine for 2004 when MFA wasn't a requirement but in 2024 it's just not the thing. A user should be able to easily enable MFA on their preferred platform instead of being wrangled into a backwards and ultimately confusing method.
