Product review - Oliver Crawley (Business Support Analyst OCS)

Comments: My overall experience of this product is hugely positive. EBC are a big business that retains the personal touch. The product is always innovative, moving forward, offering more functionality as it continues to grow. Functionality offered seems to be well ahead of the curve in most instances (reporting & importing being the exceptions). I am made to feel valued by everyone associated with the company. [sensitive content hidden] are truly lovely people who always deliver on their promises and are at all times communicative and approachable. The company is corporate but not detached form its end users.

Pros:

Employment Check Pro automates and digitises the end-to-end vetting and pass management processes. Introducing a level of control and governance around standards and practices for Aviation vetting (used only for Aviation vetting within OCS). It represents a single solution across Aviation UK and Ireland for processing and storing candidate and employee vetting data. Prior to the PassTrack Pilot, Aviation Vetting was processed by OCS employees in Manchester and locally situated within the LGW, Central Way and LHR Airports. The processes adopted were not consistent, some are using manual paper methods and local file storage. The digitalisation of the process is impressive with documents held safely and securely, able to be moved from application stage through to vetting stage. The ability to track and renew DBS/G-sat, via a very simple process is a key win for us. Auto chase is also an impressive feature. The introduction of industry standard software has made our internal process much stronger, very reliable, robust and bespoke for Aviation Vetting clearance/CAA regulations only.

Cons:

The reporting capability is weak and it seems that (understandably) funds have been utilised elsewhere, resulting in the reporting feature standing still as opposed to moving forward. Intuitive, intelligent reporting that is easily configurable/able to be manipulated to suit the requirement would be welcome. The employment check app looks to have real merit however one criticism I would have is that sometimes things get released without appearing to be fully ready to go (in the case of the app the notification feature does not work for Android users despite literature actively promoting it). At other times things are released and cause another aspect of functionality to 'roll back' or misfunction. This is always quickly corrected however. The data import feature should (in my opinion only) be offered up as a matter of course, as part of a clients ordinary course of business. This feature can trigger cost implications when wishing to use and takes multiple attempts to successfully import.

Comments: An ever-improving piece of software with a great team behind it.

Pros:

Some of its processes appear to have been well thought through. The continuous improvement with regular updates derived from customer feedback results in a forward-thinking development process benefiting all.

Daily User

Pros:

This system is vital for us to ensure we have all checks from background screening/ Crc applications and tracking to monitor where we are to hit targets. The system is user friendly and the support team are extremely helpful and very sufficient.

Cons:

Certain reports could be made easier. The more data it holds it becomes quite slow.

its easy to use and to track applicants. can collate documents on individual profile and manage several location in 1 place.

I like the colour coding

Comments: It is a great system especially if you only have a few files you are working on.

Pros:

It is clear to see all of the tasks and as they are colour coded, you can see whats outstanding easily.

Cons:

There are a lot of bugs that pop up continuously (possibly due to the rate and depth we use the system).

Comments: Very good experience, makes the admin side of my job easy and breezy.

It is easy to use and navigate, produces accurate data of your applicants.

Cons:

Very rare but there are times when some EBC functions lags or does not work

Helps us be able to track all candidates files in a simple and easy way. I really like the auto case feature.

Straightforward, fast and clear - service users said this was easy to navigate when using with a passport as ID.

Cons:

Unable to get a fully completed check when using documents other than a passport/home office check - can cause some issues for those without passport/home office ID

EBC - GREAT EXPERIENCE

Comments: great experience and the customer service is wonderful

It is very easy to use and visually comfortable. i have used without any training and the experience has been great

I dont anything to complain but I need to say that if I connect from different wifi , EBC asked for a pin

Pros:

You can send references very quickly, and you can see which are missing. Very easy to apply for a DBS check.

Cons:

Sometimes the software is very slow. It is difficult to upload the documents.

Pros:

Quick way of sending references, chase them and have a overall view for applicants employment history etc. documents which still need to be provided.

Cons:

It can be very slow when submitting changes, uploading any documents. Switching from account to account etc.

System Review

Comments: Its a great system to use and really helps in keeping a track with what stage we are at to obtain Airside passes.

Pros:

I love the fact that it recognises gaps of employment and you don't have to work it out manually as we previously did. Its great that the system actually generates the letter and send you a copy when previously we had to edit templates to send manually.

Cons:

There is nothing I don't like about the system.

Pros:

We love the way the software collates all of the dates to form the time line which is a good send when referencing candidates for the airport.

Cons:

Love it all, the only problem was when our DBS did not show up
