Detailed cost models within a short timeframe

5.0 6 months ago

Comments: We’ve been fans from the start. It’s a great platform. The odd glitch or question is quickly responded to, so great support as well. Thank you, and keep up the great work!

Pros:

Very detailed cost models within a short timeframe - ideal for understanding the feasibility of early stage design work.

Cons:

It’s difficult to criticise, because we love the platform. One area that has confused me is when two or more extension shell types are included in a cost model, whether this leads to duplication of some preliminaries that in reality would be shared - e.g. project manager / scaffold / deliver excavator. That said, sometimes a client will later ask the implication if one of these shells can be deleted from the model (e.g. roof extension / loft conversion if they can’t afford to do everything), so having a way to unlink the shells is also positive.

Ok Software

3.0 last year

Pros:

it could certainly speed up the time spend, on quoting for standart peojects

Cons:

I don't think there are enough options for bespoke builds. The costs of materials is too time consuming to change to suit your pricing.

Supportive Team and Versatile Product with Room for Customization

5.0 7 months ago

Comments: Overall, as mentioned, BuildPartner has been incredibly supportive and communicative. They truly live up to the “partner” in their name.

Pros:

First of all, BuildPartner’s personnel are very attentive and supportive, which makes a significant difference. In terms of the product, I appreciate the versatility it offers for managing different stages of a project. A key benefit is the competitiveness of the estimates they provide, along with their fast turnaround time. Particularly with their feasibility estimates, the process feels seamless and doesn't disrupt the project's momentum.

Cons:

The only challenge I encountered was aligning their cost estimate breakdown with my own schedule of works. However, I recently discovered that the product allows for renaming and customization, and this specific translation is an area of ongoing development within the company. I’m looking forward to learning how to make better use of these features.

A must-have subscription for those going solo!

5.0 5 months ago

Comments: Friendly, easy to navigate and understandle for professionals and laymen alike.

Pros:

Build Partner offers a independent one-stop shop for small practitioners to better understand, manage and acquire costs for construction projecst. It pulls conversations away from subjective past experience and instead draws from a rich database of users across the industry.

Cons:

There isn't a lot to dislike, would be great to know how Cost Professionals could potentally be integrated and involved so that this is a platform that can be used for bigger, equipped projects. Perhaps some sort of 'Pro' section.
