> **Pros**: As a system engineer in the AWS ecosystem, Systems Manager is indispensible in monitoring your nodes and quickly identifying/detecting issues across EC2 instances. It is free and doesn't add cost to your billing and integrate with Cloudwatch and AWS config

> **Cons**: Just like any other AWS product the UI is so fragmented that it is really hard to navigate between parameter store and patch manager and also the rate limiter isn't very generous and lastly error logs is opaque
> 
> AWS Systems Manager is an very important for monitoring EC2 instances and identifying issues and also connects CloudWatch and AWS Config but a fragmented console UI, API rate limits isn't graceful. Overall, it remains a high product for managing AWS infrastructures.
