It's so easy to use. Sometimes I wonder whether, when I'm looking at new restaurants to go to and I'm solely going off Google reviews, there's an element of groupthink. That means I go to the same places as everyone else, and maybe I don't discover the hidden gems that perhaps don't have many reviews on Google. > > I've used Google Maps for about 10 years. It's helped me navigate cities across the world. It's helped me collate lists for travel experiences, including things to do, places to go, and things to see. It's been a fantastic tool. ----- ### "Never lost with google maps." — 5.0/5 > **Rhiannon** | *8 April 2025* | 2128 | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10 > > **Pros**: Its easy to use and navigate. Its clear mapping and functions. > > **Cons**: I dont have a fault with the app at all. > > I use maps almost daily. I love the optuin to see the traffic updates and being able to uss the satelite version when explorong a new area before we travel there. ----- ### "Free and easy to use" — 5.0/5 > **Flavio** | *11 March 2026* | Banking | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10 > > **Pros**: Use Google Maps on my personal activities, think the accuracy on real time updates on journeys is quite good. It covers nearly everywhere with good updates on road changes, even in some places where mobile reception is not good, I can use it offline, which is great\! For a free tool, it's really good. > > **Cons**: Sometimes integration between web browser searches and app does not happen as expected, so I need to re-search in app the destination I am going to, which is a bit annoying specially if you're dealing with postcodes and numbers that sometimes are hard to remember, so have to paste and copy. ----- ### "Google Maps Review" — 5.0/5 > **Sean** | *7 July 2025* | Hospital & Health Care | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10 > > **Pros**: Google Maps offers real time GPS navigation with live updates for traffic. I like how it gives a number of routes and not just the fastest routes. We use it regularly when traveling to and from events and client meetings. > > **Cons**: When traveling we have found that Google Maps has used a significant amount of data when using it via our company work phones. Sometimes when traveling to rural locations the maps arent always up to date. ----- ### "excellent..." — 5.0/5 > **eldho** | *13 April 2026* | Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10 > > **Pros**: Users love the "unmatched" Street View for virtually visiting locations before arriving. The 3D view allows users to see how a city fits together from different angles. > > **Cons**: It occasionally suggests bizarre shortcuts through narrow alleys or private residential roads that aren't actually faster. > > Users value the ability to set specific "Depart at" or "Arrive by" times, which is particularly helpful for appointments or catching the last available transit. The platform is frequently used to research local businesses. High-quality reviews and photos from other users help travelers and locals make informed decisions about where to eat or shop. ----- Page: 1 / 75\ Next: [Next page](https://www.capterra.co.uk/software/1010739/google-maps?page=2) ## Links - [View on Capterra](https://www.capterra.co.uk/software/1010739/google-maps) ## This page is available in the following languages | Locale | URL | | de | | | de-AT | | | de-CH | | | en | | | en-AE | | | en-AU | | | en-CA | | | en-GB | | | en-IE | | | en-IL | | | en-IN | | | en-NZ | | | en-SG | | | en-ZA | | | fr | | | fr-BE | | | fr-CA | | | fr-LU | | | ja | | ----- ## Structured Data
