Pros:

Is a complete solution for a PR agency, recommended if you don't have much time for pitching. ROI is very accurate too, this saves you a lot of time.

Cons:

Half of their lists are erroneous. I cannot tell you how many writers emailed us back after we pitched them saying they did not cover the topics Agility had them tagged under.

Great customer service

5.0 3 years ago

Pros:

The daily monitoring reports we get from Agility are great for tracking mentions of our organization and our programs in traditional and social media. Any time we have questions or are looking for additional coverage on a specific topic, the staff at Agility are quick to respond and extremely helpful.

Cons:

The software takes a bit of time to get used to navigating if you do not use it on a daily basis, but the staff are always happy to help give a refresher/ walkthrough if needed.

Best software for media monitoring and public relations

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: As a user of Agility PR Solutions, I have found the software to be a highly effective tool for managing and improving our media outreach efforts.

Pros:

I liked most about this software is that it offers a range of monitoring tools, including real-time alerts, sentiment analysis, and coverage reports, to help businesses track media coverage and assess public relations efforts.

Cons:

while the media database is extensive, it may not include all niche or specialized media outlets that some businesses may need to target.

Horrible Customer Care and Data

1.0 5 years ago

Comments: I have never been happy with Agility. I wasted thousands of dollars on this database and I feel like I have been conned out of thousands of dollars that I could have put to use elsewhere.

Pros:

Nothing please stay away from Agility. If you must use them revise the contract with a lawyer to hold them accountable for the data they say they have.

Cons:

I have had many issues with Agility from fraudulent data to up their numbers to nightmare customer care. I should first off state that I was coming from Cision. The data in Agility is lacking and much of it is false. Agility has numerous contacts with generic emails EX. [email protected] [email protected]. When looking up a large outlet you can find that multiple contacts will have the same generic email, not their actual contact information. For a company selling a database of media contacts, this is a HUGE red flag. If you are in a contract with this company there is nothing you can do about it. They do not care that they have fraudulent data and that their platform doesn't deliver results. I sent a few pitches out of Agility and the results I got were horrible. Sending the same pitch through Cision provided 10X + the results of Agility. Coming from Cision I though the industry norm was that email distributions were not limited. Not in Agility. They limit emails to 25,000. After fighting with Agility over this they finally agreed to give me 1,000,000 emails that they first put in a contract but voided so this agreement wouldn't be on paper. What's not on their contract? The number of media contacts I was told they had over the phone. I have wasted thousands of dollars on Agility, a company with an inferior product and fraudulent data to up their numbers. Please take my advice and stay away!

Pros:

is a complete solution for a PR agency, recommended if you don't have much time for pitching. ROI is very accurate too, this saves you a lot of time/

Cons:

is too expensive for a small pr agency, and i think is more for an small pr agency, so it is complicated. Also customer service isn't helpful at all.

Dated platform that forced us to renew against our will

3.0 3 years ago

Comments: We initially contracted with Agility PR to develop relationships with personal finance reporters and bloggers to share updates on a consumer-focused financial planning tool we were developing at the time for existing and prospective mortgagees. During our first year with Agility, our leadership decided to shelve development of that product, which effectively eliminated our need for Agility's services. We weren't overtly aware of the deadline they had imposed for automatic renewal. Within days of the renewal going into effect, we met with members of Agility's team to request they turn off the automatic renewal as we had not even logged into the platform in several months. Agility refused to turn off the automatic renewal, despite meeting with their team to express our desire not to renew over 80 days before our initial contract expired. They've since invoiced our team and threatened legal action if we do not pay the outstanding invoice. While we haven't loved the platfornm, or used it to the extent we had hoped to initially, we could have parted amicably and possibly even returned as customer in the future. But after the way we ignored, threatened, and ultimately coerced, not only will we never do business with Agility again, I will do everything in my power to recommend other businesses protect themselves from having a smilar experience working with Agility PR.

Pros:

That they allegedly manually update and refine their press contact database.

Cons:

Platform overall feels dated. Lacks some polish and features available in competitors' solutions. Lock you into annual contracts and will enact automatic renewal 90 days prior to contract expiration.

Terrible Customer Service, Mediocre Solution At Best

1.0 6 years ago

Comments: Terrible. They rope you into an annual contract and their lists are not accurately tagged.

Pros:

Ease of use I suppose. However, I would not recommend the product to anyone for the price.

Cons:

If there were zero stars, that is the rating I would give Agility. I tried to cancel our account 6 weeks prior to the date we signed an annual agreement. Our customer rep told me that he sent an email months ago that automatically renewed our agreement for another year! As an agency owner who works with clients on a daily basis, I cannot believe the bait and switch in order to make a buck. We never treat our clients this way. Steer clear of Agility! Half of their lists are erroneous. I cannot tell you how many writers emailed us back after we pitched them saying they did not cover the topics Agility had them tagged under. Talk about embarrassing! PR platform is okay at best, and customer service is awful.

Negative Experience

3.0 4 years ago

Pros:

I enjoyed the research team - they were always willing to help find missing contacts for the database

Cons:

The database was full of generic emails instead of personal ones, and several times the emails bounced. The email pitching capabilities were confusing to use and not very customizable to fit into my current workflow.

Agility PR has to be a market leader

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: The ROI is excellent. We can send out targeted press releases and monitor the recipients' actions so we don't follow up to the wrong people. We can find influencers easily and see who is talking about our clients so we can engage with them promptly.

Pros:

It's so easy to use, with an amazing database that actually finds relevant contacts

Cons:

Nothing, we all love it. It saves us so much time especially for reporting

Poor Experience After 1 Year

1.0 11 months ago

Comments: Totally disapointed. I would not recommend it to anyone.
Its expensive, they will rip you off with everthing they can.
Find something else

Pros:

Could not tell too much as I used it barely to 0 but it looked complicated, still complex

Cons:

I did not liked their automatically renewal. Your subscription will automatically renew unless you send them a written notice?! 90 days ahead. Missed and forgot about this and they are going to charge one year which I fell its like a rip off.
