Have to use it, but would like to use something better
Pros:
Mindbody gets the job done. My gyms require me to schedule through it so I'm kind of forced to use it.I do like that I have a few gyms on it which makes it easier to book a few classes at different spots at the same time.
Cons:
I wish the booking could go right into my Google Calender just like a Calendly appointment do or Eventbrite events. When I book in Calendly and Eventbrite, I do not need to click "add to calendar" because it just goes into my calendar automatically upon booking.My pilates studio just switched from Mindbody to Momence and I'm really liking the feel of the new platform. It feels like the platform was built more recently and it's meant for mobile. Whereas Mindbody feels like it was built desktop first and the mobile doesn't have unique sizing or layout. Momence also has a messaging area for my gym to message us with deals and such.Would be ideal if all gyms used Mindbody but instead I have to toggle between apps to book my classes.

Great product and dare I say best gym software!
Pros:
This is by far the best gym software for running a business. Easy to use and capable of doing most everything that you need.
Cons:
There are some changes with the upgrade to some of the reporting and things that I was not a fan of.
Mindbody - enjoy it more as a user than a studio owner
Comments: I always used MB as a consumer and it was my go-to when traveling to find a studio or salon. This is why we went with this for our scheduling pos software for my studio when we opened. The cost and the lack of customer support and the confusing interface for us on the backend disappointed me as a studio owner.
Pros:
I liked the reporting, the MB app, and the option to also have your own app.
Cons:
The cost, the clunkiness of the backend software and the lack of customer support for the cost.
Not great, but not bad. It'll work
Comments: It was okay. It was better than what we had been using previously.
Pros:
It was easy to set up and use. Support was also available 24/7 even though it wasn't advertised as 24/7.
Cons:
It was difficult to send emails out to members if we had any changes to our class schedules.
Alternatives Considered:
MindBody user since 2011
Comments: We have been using it since 2011 and not found a competitor that has all the same features.
Pros:
We run a large health club and MindBody has the features to allow us to run all the aspects of our business using the software. They also have excellent customer service.
Cons:
The reports should all have the option to allow comparision to the prior period, especially the sales reports. It should be easier to import a list of clients into Messenger to allow you to text a large group of clients.

Worst organized company NOT support whatsoever
Pros:
Nothing....you can have the best scheduling app ever but without customer support that can take up to 10 hours a week to obtain answers, stay on hold, repeat calls, confusion among the corporation of not writing things down from last conversation, it is not feasible to do business.
Cons:
Their customer support is non existent and you will waste more time on the phone than doing work. We had them for10 + years and finally gave up. When we tried to leave them, they made it impossible to receive our data which is our entire database. They lied to us and said our database was wiped out immediately but it wasn't. Our losses with this company were vast.
Alternatives Considered:
Good product but search function for products and UI could be better
Comments: Overall experience is good but UI could look better and search function for products is horrible.
Pros:
It is well known and reliable for the most part. good customer service if there is an issue.
Cons:
The product search experience is terrible. If you include a space in the search that doesn't appear in the way the product was entered in system then it doesn't show up. for example I searched "post card" and nothing came up because it's listed as "postcard" in the system.
Alternatives Considered:
Running a business on one program is ideal
Comments: Overall a very positive experience and would recommend to others.
Pros:
I like that the platform is becoming more full spectrum service. I can do a lot more than I used to be able to and I love the idea of one stop shop kind of experience. I don’t need multiple programs to run my business anymore.
Cons:
I think there are some more intuitive features that could be added, maybe more pleasing layout (aesthetically)

Comments: We found it to be over priced, not user friendly and customer service did not respond quickly

Pros:
Mindbody has every single functions we need and can think of. And the team keeps bringing out new updates to improve functionality and flexibility for studios.
Cons:
Sometimes some functions are hidden too deep in the setting menuss

Pros:
Nothing in particular. Very complicated system, not user friendly at all, too expensive plus they charge you with a Technical Account Manager fee on top of your monthly fee
Cons:
Very bad service. They constantly have bug issues which they cannot resolve for weeks and they dont care if your studio is loosing money in the meantime
The Worst Software Service Company!!
Comments: I am stunned to see even one positive review of this software and the company. We had the worst possible experience; nothing worked as promised. Customer service was rarely able to fix any of the issues we dealing with. We went from a completely booked schedule prior to MB, to a couple of appointments per day, almost all of which were booked over the phone. We lost thousands of dollars per month because of this software!!!! Our clients were so frustrated and the staff were beside themselves. After 4 months of trying to make this work for us, we finally gave up because NOTHING was fixed. To top it all off, we had to go with another platform and MB will not let us out of our contract even though we had such terrible experience, AND they won't let us drop down to a lower cost package even though we are no longer using them. We are stuck paying almost $1000 per month for their premium package that is not being used. I literally have never experiences such a complete and total disaster. We are now having to pay for two software platforms, MindBody, which is unusable, and then the one that actually works! BEWARE of this company!!!!

NOTHING, they are a disaster! Not a single thing worked as promised. We lost thousands of dollars per month!!
Cons:
Customer service is abysmal. It takes 10 phone calls to find the one person who might be able to help, but then the fix doesn't work the next day. Onboarding, our guy missed our first two onboarding calls and then had the nerve to say, well you never took advantage of your onboarding. THIS SOFTWARE DOES NOT WORK as promised.

Comments: Do not check mark any boxes without reading terms of service. Don't agree to any discount for several months. Create reviews on better business bureau also.
Pros:
Bait and switch program. No.Transparency of programme features prior to paying your first month. Do not agree to make a first month payment or check mark any boxes.
Cons:
Customer service bounces you around to avoid discussing cancellation. Their contract will lock you in to 12 months. At exorbitantly, overpriced cost to your business 250-1000 MONTHLY! for services that are provided at thirty four dollars a month through schedulicity,vagaro for small salons. Scaled TOO LARGE for a small salon.. on boarding will cost you. It is not included in your monthly. Click buttons will charge per click on your site. There are so many hidden charges.. any monthly subscription will be the beginning of spending. Someone has been pilfering in my account changing my subscription type when I haven't even been online.

MindBody - Incompetent and Greedy
Comments: MindBody operates with defective information, illegal rules and horrendous support. Their customer support is poor and inconsistent. Multiple service employees who spoke to us never had the same answer. I purchased the license and merchant account in 2012, and always paid the fees through my bank account. They refused to send the 2012 contract. I know the license and merchant account contract states I am the purchaser and owner. However, they dod not consider me the owner; they told me my employee who was hired in 2018 was the owner and was the only one who could make requests or changes. In preparing to close down the business, MindBody insisted she was the owner even though she was on her way out. This is outrageous and illegal. In addition, last quarter, MIndBody forced our clients to switch to the new app even though many did not want to handle their sign ups and payment on the app. Poor way to treat my customers; we get the blowback for MindBody decisions. They finally now recognize that I am the owner when I want to cancel the contract as studio is closing. MindBody makes cancellation of the license and merchant account almost impossible and outright improper. Here is a recent example. We were told that we would have 90 days after the termination of the contract to download our information. Now, they are claiming that we have only 24 hours to download all of the information. Some information such as liability waivers had to be obtained on each client separately. We have over 800 waivers. Their solution is that we pay them $500 to download the information and send it to us. Extortion! This is only a few examples of how bad poorly MindBody has treated us. Their only concern is to squeeze as much money out of the business. They could care less that the studio is closing down. This is an incompetent, immoral and greedy company. Stay away from them and find a different software.

In the last 3 years, there is nothing I would recommend with MindBody especially with all the different platforms available today

Poor and improper customer service to my studio and my clients. Inconsistent and totally incorrect information. We have called multiple times in the last two months, and we get different answers every time. MindBody’s modus of operandus is to protect themselves and their money stream. The customer does not matter.
Stay away from MindBody Online
Comments: While the software design is lovely. Everything about the company, getting your own data from the company, how they run, and how they operate are absolutely horrendous and unethical.

Their lack of ethics, stealing from their clients by advertising their own products to your client base, the u reliability of the app and scheduler, the unreliability of payment processing, the additional fees from payment processing, the costs, the customer service, gaslighting customers and [sensitive content hidden] to avoid taking responsibility for their failures, etc
My goto app for searching classes that are available for the time that I have carved out!
Comments: MindBody is my go-to app for seeing what is available in local classes. It is also my go-to app when traveling; when I find a few hours, I can use it for self-care. I have explored many courses I would never have considered without using MindBody as my primary search. More minor business schedules do not populate a standard Google search, so I always use MindBody first.
Pros:
I love that I can see many types of classes available during a time slot that I have available for self-care. My schedule is always shifting, and self-care time slots overlap with other obligations. MindBody shares what's happening now and in the future, allows me to explore options and book classes, and sends me a calendar link with mapping. I love this app!
Cons:
Having a time slot - mileage willing to travel - and available search options would be helpful.
A Warning about Mindbody's Services
Comments: A Disastrous Experience with Mindbody. I strongly caution against engaging with Mindbody for your business needs.

I strongly caution against engaging with Mindbody for your business needs. The support provided by this company is shockingly inadequate and will leave you stranded when you need assistance the most. When seeking software solutions for your company, robust and reliable support is crucial – an aspect that Mindbody sorely lacks. The system itself is plagued with numerous flaws that will inevitably disrupt your day-to-day operations. Any initial support you receive during the demo or sales phase is misleading, as it rapidly deteriorates once you've committed to their services. Mindbody's choice to hire overseas support staff results in poor communication and a distinct lack of understanding of their own system. Attempting to obtain assistance becomes a frustrating endeavor. The overseas support team often puts you on hold while they familiarize themselves with the system's issues before attempting to provide an explanation. Presently, the company fails to provide adequate training and support for the team responsible for assisting you, leaving them seemingly lost. Attempts to escalate the issue and speak with someone senior go unanswered, leaving customers waiting for hours. Unfortunately, after committing to an annual contract, you'll realize that you've invested considerable time and energy in inputting all your data into a system that proves to be unreliable. Transitioning to an alternative software solution and retraining your team becomes a daunting task, consuming a significant amount of time and effort. As a busy entrepreneur, I find it impractical to dedicate the time needed to decipher the convoluted information on their website or endure the lackluster customer service. I strongly advise exploring alternative options for your business software needs, as Mindbody may prove to be more trouble than it's worth.

Mindbody Review
Comments: Overall, it's good and does what we need.
Pros:
All the different reports are good. User interface seems pretty straight forward.
Cons:
Response lag. Contact Logs window doesn't close when you select one. Sometimes I would like to run reports with if/then options, but I've learned to work with what's available. I don't really like the marketing suite, but we don't pay for any add-ons either. It takes a long time to fix bugs.
Lots of capabilities and bells and whistles
Comments: Generally, I'm pretty happy with it. Just need to fix some of the bugs. For example, I can adjust a recurring "unavailability" on my phone easily to affect just that day. However, I do not have the ability to do the same on the computer browser.
Pros:
Mindbody continues to improve every year.

Sometimes there are bugs in the system that cause glitches or downtime.
Mindbody is comprehensive but you only get value if you use all of the features
Comments: We had a very good experience with Mindbody and stayed with them for almost 10 years. Their customer support and broad range of services worked well for our diverse training programs. In the end, we switched because more players came to market at a lower price point, with exactly the services we needed.
Pros:
Amazing tech support both on the phone and online. A comprehensive suite of products that can handle many different gym setups with a wide variety of services. The mobile apps are great for trainers and clients to manage their training schedules.
Cons:
Mindbody has become increasingly more expensive over time. The tiered approach initially worked, but you really need to pay for the premium to get all of the features - many of which were not necessary for our needs. There is value only if you can leverage the entire suite of products.
Great scheduling app for business
Comments: It was easy to be trained on I learned within a couple days how to easily navigate the application.
Pros:
It was easy to setup client appointments within the application
Cons:
The calendar looks a bit wonky so I used a different calendar alongside this.
Mindbody - great options in theory, very glitchy in practice
Comments: Mindbody was what we used when rolling out an online wellness program during the pandemic - in theory it appeared to have everything we needed, but in practice the system was very slow and led to dissatisfaction with clients in terms of booking, payments, and access to online offerings.
Pros:
Large network of users - had potential to reach new client base
Cons:
Too many glitches in the system - payments, scheduling/signups, and livestreaming all had major issues
