Alternatives Considered:
Would recommend to any child care center!
Comments: I have been using ProCare since 2009 and have no major complaints. Any time I had an issue the tech support was able to assist and solve anything I needed.
Pros:
It is easy to use and makes the day-to-day operations manageable.
Cons:
Some issues with the fingerprint scanner and updates but usually resolved with a quick re-start.

We prefer ProCare!
Comments: I had used ProCare in previous jobs but never before as an owner - the transition to not being able to rely on administrative support was difficult, but ProCare's team made the process easy related to using ProCare. Everyone I worked with was pleasant and helpful, and I felt safe and supported asking questions. As a small business owner, it's great to feel like I still have the support of people who are experts with this product and not have to pay someone extra for that support.
Pros:
ProCare is easy to use for beginners but also provides opportunities for more detailed, advanced utilization as you grow with the system. Being able to utilize one platform for parent communication, child managment, billing/tuition collection, and employee management is a time and money saver. The price is excellent for all the services ProCare provides.
Cons:
It would be nice if we could customize the color scheme/fonts on the platform to be more visually appealing or match our company brand.
My thoughts on Procare
Comments: I think procare is a decent option, but there are better, user friendly systems out now that have better user interface and phone applications that integrate well.
Pros:
the numbers dashboard was the best part, being able to see everything in one area was super helpful when needing a quick peek at specific things like # of people in classrooms!
Cons:
i think procare was made in mind with 1 specialized person using the system always & not multiple people with basic knowledge coming in and using daily which is what I would assume most places have happening.

Comments: Our overall experience with Procare has been very good. We are amazed at what their system offers and for the most part how easy it is to navigate.
Pros:
Procare has many attributes that help to make our facility run smoothly, however, the top 2 things that set it apart is when I have a question with the software I am always able to get an answer quickly. I use the chat feature A LOT and I have never waited more than 15 minutes. It is quick and allows me to figure it out quickly. They also listen to you. When you give them feedback about things you want included that they do not yet have or if something needs to be adjusted in their system, they listen. They are constantly releasing new updates and at least 3 have been items that I had asked for.
Cons:
They have many training videos, but I wish they had question-and-answer sessions with a live person for each of the items on the site. I know this would be difficult because of the sheer number of items they offer, however, at one point this happened because I was the only one who had signed up for a training session, and due to this, the leader unmuted us and allowed us to ask questions as he walked us through the training...it was so helpful!
Super beneficial to have!
Comments: Ever since we have been registered on this app I have found that it makes the weeks go by a lot easier. Before Procare, we weren't sure if our child was napping, how long he napped, if he did good eating. Now, we get updated throughout the day and it makes a big difference. I can now know if he is going to be in a good mood when he gets picked up at the end of the day because we know that he napped and can ask him questions about what he ate during the day.
Pros:
Procare is an amazing app that notifies me of what my child is eating for breakfast/snacks/lunch and when he is napping. It is super convenient to have because I love knowing how he is doing throughout the day and know what he completed.
Cons:
One thing that I do not enjoy is that it does not allow you to enter in both parent information from the app and that you need to contact the center to do it. It would be a lot better if this feature was made so that the parents can enter their information themselves rather than waiting for the center to do it.

Good Experience with ProCare
Comments: Overall it has been a good experience. Not great but good. There are still some issues to be worked out. Like what Icons mean, Subsidy billing issues, and enrolling students into two classrooms.
Pros:
We have been using ProCare for a few years now. Customer service is quick and pretty helpful on most questions. I like that they will accept suggestions to make the software better from a user's end.
Cons:
The bugs that happen. There seems to be a few problems with the parents payment function that involves Tuition Express.

Comments: Our overall experience with Procare Solutions has been excellent. The platform has significantly improved how we manage day-to-day operations. From simplifying billing and attendance to building stronger communication with parents.
Pros:
The platform is incredibly user-friendly, making it simple for our team to track attendance, manage billing, and communicate with parents.
Cons:
Occasionally, the app experiences slow loading times, which can be frustrating during busy hours.

Comments: I can easily track my child's attendance & sign in & out quickly.
Pros:
I can easily sign my child in & out on my mobile device! Sign your name on your screen with your finger! No codes or lengthy logins, the app keeps my credentials!
Cons:
Be sure to hit "submit" after you sign your name!
Excellent Communication
Comments: We have had great expereince overall and families seem pleased with the information they receive through the parent portal.
Pros:
Procare is a central location for student and families information, staff details and communication. It allows for many things to be done well and quickly.
Cons:
There are some things that needs tweaking; thing we are not finding to be especially intuiative, but the software techs are very open to feedback.

An all in one usable, workable solution.
Comments: We are a 200+ student school that has been in business for over 40 years. We have tried several registration, contact management and accounting software’s in the past. Procare desktop combined with the engagement app for teachers/parents is the only one that has been able to help us streamline our registration, payment and communication processes all in one place. They have been responsive in answering questions and creating solutions to new hurdles. Our office staff is happy with the flexible data processing, our teachers were able to utilize the app easily from day one and our parents are relieved to finally have the ease of access to communication, daily updates and billing that they expect in this day and age. Procare came highly recommended and for good reason.
Pros:
The overall ability to handle all aspects of running our school in once place. Coupled with the company's training and support have been unparalleled in our experience.
Cons:
The terminology took some getting used to. The individuals tasked with training knew the software very well and sometimes spoke above my level of understanding. However, clarification was always offered and I have never been left with an unanswered question.
Happy customer for over 20 years!
Comments: As I have said, I have been a very happy customer for over 20 years! I find Procare to be helpful and supportive. I find the reports and data management to be far superior to other products I have used. So much so, I convinced my current employer to switch to ProCare. While I am looking forward to some advancement in the parent messaging/notification engagement I am a very happy customer.
Pros:
I have been using ProCare Solutions for over 20 years now. Since the very beginning the customer support has been excellent. The team is always there to guide you and direct you. They are very friendly and patient with me as I am not always that tech savvy! They respond quickly and have always taken our suggestions and tried to support what our needs are.
Cons:
When we first began with ProCare, there was no parent interface other than billing and email capabilities. For that matter no program had parent interface back then. With time Procare has added a parent portal, although I feel that it still needs to be made a bit more user friendly. Jumping between desktop version and engagement can be cumbersome. Overall, the parent portal works, I just feel it could be made more inclusive to the rest of the program especially with billing and payments.
Great System; needs some glitches fixed
Comments: Overall, they have seemed to be available for when we send in feedback or need assistance.
Pros:
It is a great way to connect school with the families. We like that children can be individually tagged so you can group them in various ways such as messaging. We also like how parents can view their child's day.
Cons:
The system does have some quarks. It seems to be slower than other programs we have used. Sometimes the system is down and parents are unable to sign in or receive messages/updates throughout the day. We would like to be able to use a laptop (desktop) to be able to use for a sign in kiosk. Some things we can do on the iPads are not accessible on the desktop and vice versa. One thing that is not working right now is signing incident reports. There seems to be a glitch in the system when we submit for a parent to sign and it will not go through after the parent has signed.

User Friendly
Comments: I have used Procare for 27 years and went through the major upgrade and the new Procare Solutions. They just keep getting better.
Pros:
I like the fact that the program is easy to use and has more complicated functions when needed. I was able to get rid of QuickBooks and do all my center management for students, accounts, and staff with payroll all from one program that I can also access from anywhere! I love their customer service. They are trained and can really help.
Cons:
Are too many choices a problem? So many reports that it takes time to figure out what report you want. Once you figure out the report that works the best you are set. With data reports you can configure your own reports as well.

Comments: Overall, I do enjoy this product and love when they come out with advancements to make it even better. I think the app itself is so efficient, however, I do think that the website could be a bit more streamlined.
Pros:
Procare really does have many features available to teachers and administration to help provide strong communication between school and home. Adding in meals, bottles, nap, etc. are so simple and take mere seconds. The teachers are so busy so having that is so important to the management of their day.
Cons:
The app is great but on the admin side who login to the website there is a lot of clicking to get to particular information. For example, I would love to click on the child's picture and have access to not only their profile information but also to their daily report. Also, it would be so simple in I can click on the child's picture on the main screen to quickly log them in/out. There are a lot of great features but sometimes it is just so cumbersome to get to them all. Would love to cut down on the clicking and have it more streamlined.

Happy Owner/Operator
Comments: I have used Procare for over 20years as an owner of a large child care center and I loved it. Decided to use it for my family child care business. Procare customer service has been prompt. They are able to handle the questions in a timely manner and provide solutions when needed. The interface is easy to use for managing our business and for the parents to see how their little ones day is going. I am genuinely happy with Procare.
Pros:
Procare offers a easy interface to manage any child care program. The automatic invoices and parent portal make billing and accepting payments convenient.
Cons:
The cost for the software is pricey for an at home child care facility.

Great, user-friendly school management tool
Comments: We have been Procare users for years and are very happy with the system's functionality and offerings. We recently had our wall unit replaced and have had many problems with it turning itself off randomly and having fingerprint reader issues. Other than these recent issues, we have been very happy.
Pros:
Procare is very easy to navigate and offers many customizable features. Customer service is friendly and helpful!
Cons:
I love everything about Procare except the high transaction fees they collect with each batch payment. For a non-profit, private Christian school, the annual cost exceeded $10,000 and we had to discontinue use and go with another company to solely handle billing and payment processing which is so much more affordable. Unfortunately, it is not as easy to use and we wish we could switch back to Procare.

I love having an all-in-one solution for our children's center. Customer service is generally very responsive.
Cons:
There are still some features Procare is lacking, in my experience. I'd like to get notifications (as the administrator) when teachers create incident reports and I'd like a way to confidentially communicate with enrolled families within the platform, for example.
ProCare is all that you need for childcare admin
Comments: The ability for ProCare to be the one stop shop for everything related to the daycare experience is awesome.
Pros:
The ability for childcare to stay connected with parents throughout the day. Reduces questions later, and promotes better collaborative development.
Cons:
Would like it if some of the notifications could come through as text messages rather than just push notifications.

Great service, excellent for our needs
Comments: Overall very good experience. We like using Procare and will continue to use it for all of our programs.
Pros:
We've used Procare for about 8 years for our Before and After School programs, and this summer started using it for our summer day camps as well. I like the PIN check in / out option, as well as the option to set up carpools so that parents / authorized pickups only have to remember one PIN. The pricing is very reasonable. The app works well for communication with parents.
Cons:
I wish it was easier to activate participants in the app. We sometimes have kids who are registered for the program but have not attended in a long time, so we inactivate them. But then they show up for a drop in, and it's not easy to re-activate them from the app. It also takes quite a few clicks to get to the parent kiosk screen for parents to sign their kids in and out, and the steps aren't that intuitive. It would be nice to just have the parent kiosk with the PIN entry as a button on the front screen to get to it quickly. Some of the reporting processes could be simplified - I wish we could customize the reports more.
Essential Communication Tool for our School!
Comments: We started using Procare during Covid for contact tracing and parent communication since families were not allowed in our building. Since then its become the backbone of our school and we are all always on the same page with families and as a teaching team.
Pros:
As a director it is a very efficient tool for my teaching staff and myself to always be on top of attendance and all parent communication. Our families find it easy to use and especially love the photos and videos that are shared each week!
Cons:
I would love if a Copy and Paste feature could be added. Sometimes teachers send a group message to an entire class which is easy but they'd like to copy that to send to a different group of students without having to retype. Often times they will type it in their phone's notes app and paste it into each message as needed on Procare. If procare had a copy feature it would save us time!

Comments: Overall, I LOVE Procare. Although we are a new child care center with limited funds, Procare is a priority!
Pros:
Procare Solutions makes parent sign in/out a breeze and allows us to easily print reports that help with completing payroll and subsidy reimbursement. Procare Desktop has functions to help calculate private and subsidy billing quickly.
Cons:
We switched from the online only version to the desktop version, which took several Zoom call trainings to learn how to use all the functions of the desktop version. However, once we got the hang of the desktop version, it has a lot of functions that help make my work as a director more efficient. On the flip side, there are functions that can only be done on the desktop version, which means I have to have my laptop available. For example, if a parent asks what their balance is, I am unable to view it on my cell/online and have to wait until I am able to get back to my office to give them that info. PRior to switching to the desktop version, I could easily look that info up online.
