Pros:

I like that you can create several calendars for different purposes. I created customer support calendar on Google Calendar while my personal calendar is not messed up.

The best free scheduling app available

5.0 2 months ago

Comments: I have used Google Calendar for several years along with the rest of Google's suite of programs. I think it's the best scheduling app that is available for free, including Microsoft Outlook, which is unusual because I almost always prefer Microsoft's alternatives to Google apps.

Pros:

My favorite thing about Google Calendar is the fact that it syncs across any device you might have, ensuring that you have your schedule totally available at all times. Also, it integrates with the rest of Google's suite of software.

Cons:

My least favorite thing about Google Calendar is the fact that it sometimes interacts oddly with any native calendar apps that may be available on your device. This can be fixed pretty easily by ensuring that Google Calendar is your default calendar app.

A tool for planning your time

3.0 4 months ago

Comments: Calendar is a useful tool. You can save certain important events by noting them on specific dates. It's also very useful as a reminder, to avoid missing appointments. My problem with this app is that I find it intrusive into my data, reminding me that it was designed by Google

Pros:

I only use it on my phone. I know it integrates well with Google Meet or Workspace, but I haven't tested it yet. It's a pretty useful tool. It allows me to save dates and important events. I also like the fact that you can share events with other people. The feature I use most often is the reminder. It ensures that I don't miss my appointments. It's easy to configure and simple to use

Cons:

The birthdays of some of my contacts on Facebook and in my address book ended up in the app without my consent. Google has shown me that it has no respect for the privacy of its users and that its privacy policy is overrated

Cons:

When you're looking for advanced options, it's a bit tricky to find them, but it never disappoints!

Use It Every Single Day

5.0 2 months ago

Pros:

I enjoy the mobile app function of Google Calendar. Whether I am on the computer or on my phone, the app allows me to stay connected to my upcoming events.

Cons:

Sometimes the color coordination of the events becomes fairly confusing visually, but I do believe that could be a user error on my end.

My Take on Google Calendar

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: My overall experience with Google Calendar is awesome! This keeps me going and be on top of my game of what I do and it's being productive.

Pros:

I like using Google Calendar to manage through events, dates, months, days, and anything up for my calendar via Google to check. I like the calendar and it's a nice thing Google did add.

Cons:

I wish there was a way to input an idea where you can customize and design your own calendar with themes, font sizes, colors of text, etc.

Google Calendar is Easy to Use and Increases productivity.

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: The sync means two separate calendars are referenced. This is ensures we don't miss a deadline for an event or for a task. Tasks are assignable. Every team member can see the task. Tasks from google calendar are synced to our practice mgt software. Events and tasks flow both ways via sync. If the event or task is created in practice mgt software or in google calendar it shows up on both platforms. The ability to easily provide the zoom or google meet invite and the fact that google calendar prompts me to send it ensures we communicate effectively with clients and potential clients.

Pros:

The best thing about google calendar is its ease of use. For example if you add an event you are prompted to invite others. Reminders for events are customizable. It syncs with our practice mgt software for our law firm.

Cons:

I have two google accounts. For some reason my personal google calendar is the default (I believe this is because the personal google email is primary account) I have to toggle between them. I am sure there is a way to make business calendar the primary calendar. Just haven't figured it out yet.

Best overall value out there!

4.0 last year

Comments: I've used several calendar clients and Google's own is still the most efficient and the one that doesn't give me headaches with syncing or any other thing.
The possibility to create reminders and tasks is amazing too, very few if any, have that integration with events and reminders/tasks. It's great.

Pros:

Simple interface, important features all present, easy to schedule any event, great syncing and the possibility to create reminders and/or tasks is a deal breaker.

Cons:

The UI needs some refinement and a much needed update. That's all, everything else is great.

Comments: Overall I had great experience with Google Cal. I use many calendars public/private for various use cases such as - Work, Family, Birthday Reminder, Study, Sycned Todoist Calendar and more calendars.

Pros:

Google's new Appointment Schedule feature is ready to start competing with paid calendar alternatives. Love Public/private calendar feature, integration of Events, Tasks & Appointments in one single Google Cal app, Love that free version is powerful enough and love that with paid google workspace plan we are getting so many other benefits apart from new Appointment Schedule feature.

Cons:

No Event scheduling feature where you can ask audience to suggest and upvote a common time. No list view like BusyCal which allows you to list calendar events and search them quickly.

Simple and smart calendar that allows you to be more productive and efficient!

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: My overall experience with Google Calendars is still positive. It is what I use for my everyday tasks and event management. I guess it doesn't need to be all that complex and fancy. It serves a simple purpose in my opinion and serves it well. Gives me notifications and reminders at the right times. I love changing between the day/week/month views as well when I need it to either get a detailed view of a specific day or the snapshot for that month. It is free and I will continue using it as before but would love to see some more enhancements in the future.

Pros:

The simplicity of use about this software is what I like most about it. Definitely the brand behind this software product is a well known one, Google. I love the compatibility across other Google Suite apps and the integrations available. I love when it reads appointments from my email and automatically schedules events and reminders using the same. I have made flight and hotel reservations in the past and Google Calendar has automatically put them on there for me which I find very valuable. It works with Google Assistant so I can also use voice commands to interact with my calendar. The functions are limited here but still useful. I love the ability to customize each event being able it give it a title, date and time, recurring series, reminders via notification or email, adding location, description and even attachments. I almost always make use of all of these fields as it helps me stay super organized.

Cons:

The overall functionality is still limited compared to its counterparts like the Microsoft Outlook Calendar which offers a breadth of features. You can't set high or low priority events in Google Calendar. Neither can you create your own categories or labels and attach them to different types of events, tasks, notes or reminders. Sharing is also not very effective. I have tried to create events for my friends together and shared with them but unless they have a Google account, there are many compatibility issues. The time zone also is slightly inaccurate sometimes. It doesn't reflect it accurately nor does it make the needed updates.

Aesthetically Pleasing Planning and Scheduling Software

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: I'm planning my days and my businesses easier. This has had the effect of making my businesses more efficient and run more smoothly.

Pros:

Google Calendar has a new feature that allows you to reach a desired goal by allowing you to do day-to-day tasks in furtheration of your ultimate goal. This goal can be learning to code and losing weight. This is by far the best Innovation by Google Calendar. It really seems to take into account my peak points and to schedule time that will help me to achieve my goal at those ideal moments. In Google Calendar, scheduling runs smoothly and efficiently. Tasks and events can be easily scheduled in advance. I like how you can share your upcoming events with friends. The best part is that shared links are automatically synced with your friends' Google Calendars. This allows us to send them notifications when events are taking place. This is a very important feature of the app in my opinion. I like how you can schedule pretty much anything and everything ahead of time. I like how the app provides a general overview of the month and year ahead. The best part is that you can plan everything down to the last detail. The app allows you to schedule the hour up to a year in advance. I like how the app simplifies the scheduling process. It assists you in staying organized and focused for the time frame that you have set. I like that you can create whatever type of schedule you want. Overall I love that the app is aesthetically pleasing and that it's very quick and easy to use. The app is easy to navigate and it helps you to achieve your goals and to stay focused overall.

Cons:

The sound should be much louder, and the notifications should be more prominent. To ensure that I see my reminders on time, notifications should be designed to be more schedule-stopping. Because of the weak structure and quiet nature of this app's reminders, they are easily overlooked.

Google Calendar: One of the best tools for client-facing connections

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Overall, Google Calendar has been awesome and a huge key to my success in my position at the company I work at. Even though I started as just an assistant using a calendar, I've found that I'm still using it today and it continues to grow my success!

Pros:

I work at a company that does a ton of client-facing meetings, presentations, and virtual lunch-and-learns, so it's key for us to have a product that can help us keep organized and on top of our schedules, and that is exactly what Google Calendar does for us. It's incredibly easy to check out your colleague's calendars (especially once you color code each one!) and find a time that works for everyone involved for a meeting. Another thing I love about it is that in such a digital age and with the majority working from home, we all have a LOT of options about what we use for work. Some use Zoom, some use Skype - but the one very universal tool is Google Calendar. Even if Google Suite isn't what your company uses daily, it's still familiar and user-friendly, so when an invite comes through, you'll know exactly what to do. Overall, I love Google Calendar and am so glad my company uses it.

Cons:

There isn't much I can say about the things I dislike about Google Calendar, however one thing that comes to mind is about the mobile version. I have the Google Calendar app - since I'm constantly using it for both my personal and professional use - and when attempting to set something up on the phone, it's a bit complicated and seems as if the app is miscalibrated. Creating an event is always a bit tricky - and it's definitely easy to fix - but it's something that can and should be improved on.

A Review about Google Calendar on a Perspective of an University Education Student

5.0 last year

Comments: Overall, what I like about Google Calendar is how it is effective and efficient to make everybody's life easier on other Google applications such as Google Classroom and Google Meet. As an education student, it never fails me as I never experience having difficulty in my University Student Life. The only problem is I can't check further details on the calendar when I am offline, yet I am still online as our school has wifi for everyone, our home has fiber wifi, and I always have my data internet connection on my phone.

Pros:

What I like the most about Google Calendar is that is can be integrate with different Google Applications that makes my every day life easier. Like for example, as a student, whenever I have deadlines in out Google Classroom, it is in sync so I see the due dates on my Calendar which helps me to keep on track and avoid procastination. Also, since I am using my school email, whenever we are enrolled in certain subjects, there are times that we suddenly see all over the calendar the specific dates and time about the classes that we need to attend both synchronously and asynchronously. It is also easy to use because honestly there is not one that thought me how to use it, and I do not see any difficulty on how to maximize it. I just explore it by myself and see its wonderful features. Until now, I am amazed.

Cons:

I think what I least like about the Google Calendar is that sometimes whenever I am offline (not connected to the internet). I am not able to see the important details about certain events. That is why it is very important to be connected to internet every time. Although it is not a problem to me because we have internet fiber connection at home and I am always have data connection, there are times of emergency that internet is not accessible.

Google Saves the Day

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Incredibly easy to use and very very very very convenient. You can use it in your personal or professional life and if you wish to take it mobile with you, you can use the app on your phone, not just your desktop. I'm just tickled pink about the functionality and the ability to store all of my data in one place, with one company and one software/program. I'm in love!!!! : )

Pros:

I dont know how I could live without the Google family of products. Everything ties seamlessly into my Google account and now that Google Pay is widely accepted, I cannot fathom a more complete or complimentary product for my personal or professional life. Google Calendar can also sync with your Android notes or tasks if I remember correctly, so you can make lists and access the information even if your phone isnt nearby, and vice versa. I recently had a 10 day project where I was required to login to a system for reporting during certain times, and complete a 3 part reporting/surveying questionnaire each day. I found myself forgetting whether or not I completed my tasks so I made a note/task entry on my mobile and was actually able to link it with my calendars, which saved my butt a few times over the course of the project! It was incredibly seamless and customizable, with tick boxes, cross out task completion options, alarm notifications... Just incredibly useful, I had no words. Its easy to use & can be used across most google products, which means you can attach contacts, reminders, emails, etc. Incredibly talented group of people behind the Google family of products, and I cannot wait to see what they develop next. Your productivity will skyrocket when you realize that you have ONE program that offers everything you need to stay connected, on time & accessible (Google Drive). Not enough good words can be said about the calendar and its functionality. Life saver!!!

Cons:

I didnt find anything that I could complain about or improve on. I was even able to restore the task I mentioned above which was linked to my Android notes account when I accidentally marked the entire project complete, not the individual task lol ... it was basically deleted and the notifications and alarms were reset which was frustrating, but it was easily restored so I have no complaints at all.

Google Calendar is a Must Have for Home and Work

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Google Calendar ensures that I arrive on time for clients, events, meetings, and social fun with friends. It helps me organise my tasks and it syncs beautifully with other programs essential to my work and my life. With the pandemic, it's become even more important for me, as I have so many online activities to coordinate. I look back on the days of using paper calendars as the Stone Age. I can't imagine going through life without having my day at my fingertips. Thank you, Google!

Pros:

I love how Google Calendar puts all my tasks, events, meetings, and appointments in one place. I can colour code for "at a glance" knowledge of how my day is unfolding. I love that it shows up on all of my devices, so that if I make a change on one device, it automatically changes it on all others. Cloud-based programming means never having to worry that if my Internet goes down, I've lost my calendar. I love that I can sync it with appointment and event programs as well as my video call program. It's easy to coordinate meetings with others by adding their emails to meetings to create instant invites. I would have to say that Google Calendar is the program I refer to most during my day, along with Gmail.

Cons:

I would like a seamless way to download the calendar by year for future reference. When I am saving a Zoom session to Google Calendar, the window for the event is often very small. Other than these issues, I find Google Calendar to be stable, reliable, and an excellent resource for organising at home and at the office.

Your personal assistant in your pocket

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: The interface design of the service is very simple and useful. It has an easy interface design. It's fast and resource consumption is minimal. The service it provides to users is free. High performance and at a level that can be integrated with other software. It has advanced reminder options and has the ability to follow many different organizations.

Pros:

It is a software and service designed for all your meetings, reservations or plans to be made daily, weekly, hourly or in the long term. The service, which is under the guarantee of Google, is a software that serves users at all levels or professional users. Thanks to the service, which is much more than an agenda, all your plans and appointments are now in your pocket. It saves time and resources at the same time.

Cons:

Don't be fooled by the fact that the Google Calender service is free. Although this service is free, it offers more options than the quality offered by many programs and software. The resources it provides at this stage are top-notch.

My favorite calendar platform, I cannot recommend it highly enough!

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: In general, I am really satisfied of my experience with Google Calendar as a tool.

Pros:

Google Calendar must be one of the apps I use the most, especially on my smartphone. The best way to make sure you don't forget about something is to let technology help you with a reminder and that is exactly what I do! I really like the user interface and how smooth the platform is to use. I can get different types of reminders (email and app notification) at different times (e.g. 24 days, 1 hour or 30 min before an event), which is perfect. Another big plus of using Google Calendar as my main calendar app is the fact that most tools that integrate with digital calendars do have Google Calendar among their integration options. It is also good that you can add important details – like an address, Zoom link or a note – to a calendar event, which means that you won't have to look for them left and right but you know that you will be able to find them in one place.

Cons:

There isn't really much I don't like about Google Calendar. If I had to mention something I would say the fact that it focuses only on its work as a calendar while some other calendar apps do have features that go more in the direction of to-do list and project management tools.

GOOGLE Calendar is One of the Best Calendars I've Used

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: I have nothing but great things to say about the application. I would love for the notification to ring or vibrate when more than one event is scheduled for a time block unless it is a notification for something like a holiday or bill due if it is a physical event I think we need prior notification bells. Other than that I love and really enjoy this convenient application.

Pros:

IT'S FREE!! I enjoy the fact that it keeps track of my schedule, birthdays, bills due, events holidays, and reminders it literally keeps track of everything without me doing it myself. It syncs well with my Google Assistant and it works seamlessly through all devices in real-time. It even captures meeting times from emails I receive without me physically having to add them. I couldn't be happier.

Cons:

I have been in a position where I have actually booked more than one meeting at the same time because I was not notified that I already had a meeting scheduled based on Google Calendar capturing the time from an email I received before I could even read the email. If there was a notification that let me know I already had something booked for the same time slot I would have adjusted the scheduling of the meeting accordingly.

Perfect simple software for managing meetings

5.0 3 years ago

Pros:

It is very straightforward, simple, and limited (in a good way!) - the purpose I use it for is simply to schedule meetings with coworkers and partners, and have a meeting place. Google Rooms is easier to access than Zoom (no need to download a separate software), you can invite out-of-network guests, and have all meetings, even those taking place outside of Google, centralized on one calendar.

Cons:

It can become overloaded if working with a large team; a key feature of Google Calendar is that it lets you view the calendars of coworkers so you can efficiently find meeting times and schedule things in available slots. That being said, if you have 20+ coworkers like me, all with vastly different schedules, this feature is not as efficient or effective as it was designed to be. You can always turn this view off, to not crowd your own calendar.

Google Calendar: Keeping Track of the Big Picture

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall, Calendar is great when it isn't cluttered. I can see my week or month clearly, and the app remembers my big, main events reliably. On the other hand, the app is shaky when it comes to iCloud connectivity and syncing. This is the tradeoff of using the app, and I found that it's best to leave it alone--to not make attempts to integrate other apps into it.

Pros:

I liked Calendar's easy, friendly design and how it's very user-forwarded. I am in control, and I decide what stays and goes. I also appreciated its color-coding system for delineating certain events and other items. What Calendar does well is maintaining a steady pulse on what my week looks like, and is tethered by the "big" event of the week, sometimes every week, or every other week, month, etc. It tell me, in the form of a big block of text, that it's coming up--and I can always rely on it.

Cons:

However, Calendar is not without its flaws, and I feel that one of the many pitfalls of the app is how it manages individual tasks. These can get confusing of when they appear, how to schedule them, and how to get rid of them manually every time. Calendar isn't great as a day-to-day app, as that role is usually filled by other apps that are more of a list of things to-do. Additionally, Calendar gets very irritating when trying to sync via iCloud. When it works, it's great, but when it doesn't--and it often doesn't--Calendar gets confused and presents me with random events based on something in my other devices, or mixes up or duplicates names, or otherwise clutters the week. In this regard, Calendar is better left as a standalone app that the user should manually type into, as opposed to linking to other apps.

Everything you need at a great price!

5.0 last year

Comments: Multi-tasking is essential during my workday. Without having Google Calendar to keep me organized and on-time to appointments, I would be lost. I have full confidence that once I put a meeting in my calendar, that it will remind me of this commitment in the morning of the meeting as well as 30 minutes prior to the meeting. It helps me be a person that others can depend upon and trust!

Pros:

Google Calendar is a very user-friendly system that helps to keep you organized and on-time for all appointments and meetings. Once an engagement is in Google calendar, you can move on to other things in your day because you will have confidence that the system will remind you of the meeting when the time comes. I like that there is a space that I can cut and paste login information to make Zoom meetings a breeze. I do not think I could work stress-free without this calendar system!

Cons:

The system is effective, reliable, and very easy to use. I cannot think of a way to improve anything!
