A very smart way to manage equity

Comments: I went to Vestd to help my clients find a cost-effective solution for creating and managing shares and share option schemes.
For me, the software does the heavy lifting and leaves a very useable, complete and well-documented interface for clients should they wish to bring the management of their newly-created schemes fully inhouse. I get to do what I enjoy most - helping the clients design their schemes and spending more of my paid-time on what interests the client rather than what is interesting to lawyers. If clients wish me to remain manager of the scheme, the software makes that decision very economic for them.
Additionally, the Vestd valuation process (for EMIs) is done in person by Vestd very professionally and cost-effectively, reducing the number of plates spinning during a project.

Pros:

It is very easy to follow and its content and output is very high quality. The background material, context and instructions, is very helpful to lay clients as well as a very good ruler for the lawyer to follow. The in-person support is like talking to a knowledgeable and experienced colleague.

Cons:

I don't have any reservations. Vestd's mix of software tools with professional in-person support is impressive

Great service - people are so helpful

Comments: Brilliant - the platform helps with admin and compliance. The service team is the best I have ever come across. They make the platform a value add rather than just an admin cost.

Pros:

The platform does what it says. It saves maintaining records in an ad hoc manner. More importantly for me is the level of customer service. We can all make mistakes but the service team are second to none in assisting and helping you correct errors etc. I have never dealt with a platform that has such great customer service. It's a clear differentiator. Very happy customer.

Cons:

Nothing - I have no complaints about the service.,

EMI option grants

Comments: Helpful support team and always happy to help

Pros:

Like it can all be sent electronically and set up templates

Cons:

Templates have to wait for vestd support to update however on this occasion [sensitive content hidden] turned around super quick v happy

User friendly system that help navigate issuing EMI schemes

Comments: Great system and great support / customer service

Pros:

The UI is intuitive and enables our employees to see their shares and the share schemes - this increases the value of them and brings them to life. Setting up the emi schemes is much easier and I have confidence they are done correctly and follow all the rules.

Cons:

Reporting to HMRC and the steps required are not intuitive and because they aren't done frequently are hard to remember. Vestd helps navigate this, but it still sometimes takes some time to remember where to go and what to do. I don't think another system could do it any better though.

Easy to use and great customer support

Pros:

The ease of use, simple steps and clear guides available. The customer is second to none. Special shout out to [sensitive content hidden] who guided me through multiple new situations this year.

Cons:

The initial platform wasn't as clear but since the update it is better and more user friendly/ clearer UX.

Great platform with available and responsive support team

Pros:

Ease of funding round management and Co house integration to ensure statutory records kept up to date. Supportive content for more complex share issues and quick feedback from the support team to help when needed.

Cons:

Nothing - the platform and team have brought increased control and efficiency to complex processes

A great platform for your EMI needs

Comments: Brilliant - Talented staff, Kudos to [sensitive content hidden] aswell as a really solid product thats easy to use and manage.

Pros:

It's exceptionally well built so kudos to the product team. It takes away a load of headache from my perspective as a founder as I can handle all elements of our EMI scheme in one place.

Cons:

If you dont know much about the EMI scheme its a bit of a headache to grasp, but Vestd are available to support you through that process. Less of a con about Vestd and more a con of EMI/HMRC as a whole.

Customer support is excellent

Pros:

Vestd provides a comprehensive platform for equity management and their customer support is excellent - they're always on hand with prompt responses and solutions should any issue arise.

Cons:

The UX could be designed to be a little clearer and more user friendly.

- Equity Management can get messy and overwhelming to track - Vestd makes all these procedural steps less frustrating and streamlined - Even if you're lost, the team is so knowledgable and reactive, you will never feel like you need an internal expert to ensure you're doing things the right way Special shoutout to [sensitive content hidden]

Nothing I can think of at the moment? I couldn't imagine going back without it

Great platform for equity management

Pros:

I loved the customer support and knowledge sharing offered by the professionals. We spent a lot of time to go through the platform in detail, understand and compare all the different options and select the one that worked the best for us. I felt very supported during the process and found it easy to set up. It has a great UX and UI, very pleasant to use.

Cons:

We are totally happy with the platform and the customer support.

Exceptional customer service which sets this platform ahead of the rest of the pack

Pros:

Its fair to say that we were a difficult client, with a complicated share capital structure (5 classes of share) and very particular requirements that needed addressing quickly. We wanted to use Vestd for company secretarial services and Companies House integration as well as for setting up and administering a share option scheme. Other platforms that we looked at told us they could not help. Vestd deployed its development team to amend the platform to accommodate our needs, without fuss or charging us more. The onboarding, investment and valuation teams (special thanks to [sensitive content hidden]) were incredibly responsive and attentive. It was great to work with a SaaS product that is willing and able to update and improve its software in a quick and agile manner and provide such personalised support. Thank you Vestd.

Cons:

Nothing springs to mind at the moment, the platform does what it sets out to do, and provided that Vestd keep adding functionality and refinements, it will be a leader in its field.

Comments: Excellent

Pros:

1. User-friendly and easy navigation on the tool. 2. An excellent and mature system for Companies. 3. Very good dashboards. 4. Very comprehensive solution.

Cons:

To add the feature for the issue of EIS certificates.

Powerful product met with very helpful customer service

Comments: Excellent customer service thanks to the likes of Jo and Ash as well as a responsive dev team. I don't think a single problem of mine hasn't be solved which is fantastic.

Pros:

It's much more than just a platform to issue share option schemes: a huge amount of our company's secretarial & administrative work as well as share modelling can be achieved with Vestd too and all under the same subscription

Cons:

I think the product has a hard job to make complex products, especially because of regulatory requirements, accessible. Where friction is felt is often due to government bureaucracy rather than a limitation of the software itself.

great application that saved so much time

Comments: excellent and support were very helpful and knowledgeable

Pros:

before Vestd we were manually updating spreadsheets and sending out information which was very time-consuming​. Vestd took all the admin out of our hands and automated it. Also the presentation of the information and flexibility​ of the application made internal and external reporting simple and efficient .

Cons:

it provided all we needed so no negative feedback

Fantastic offering and support

Pros:

I loved the ease of which I can issue and distribute shares which is blindingly fast. Furthermore, the support I get on Vestd is a world class and currently, I have had no issues unresolved and the resolution typically happens within hours.

Cons:

It would be great if there was a feature to automatically email the shareholders with their share certificates.

Excellent experience setting up an EMI scheme

Pros:

The folks on the Vestd team have been extremely helpful in getting my team up and running with an EMI scheme. Having no previous experience with or understanding of the scheme, I had an endless stream of questions, which the team handled with an abundance of patience. I especially want to give a shout out to [SENSITIVE CONTENT], who not only handled my non-stop barrage of questions, but also kept me on track when the timing slipped my mind. Thank you!!!

Cons:

Some things cannot be updated myself without Vestd approval (though this could be a good thing - keeps me from accidentally messing things up). Also, our Articles of Association were previously filed with a different company, and because of this, Vestd is not allowed to look at my Articles to confirm that I'm not doing something wrong. (I understand it would be a significant undertaking when I didn't use Vestd for this, but just thinking of if I could ask for anything, regardless of whether it's reasonable.)

Pros:

[sensitive content hidden] is a star. The customer service is excellent and the best I have experienced for any platform.

Cons:

The whole process you have to go through in order to register shares with HMRC. However, to be fair that relates more to HMRC than Vestd.

Very useful alternative for EMI share options scheme administration

Pros:

Customer service team. Electronic document signing and filing. Step by step guidance even if you select a less "supportive" / "hand-holding" plan.

Cons:

There is a lot of content online and guidance etc linked within the platform. Sometimes this wasn't the easiest to navigate. Our Rep was always on hand to help though and point us in the right direction.

Ease of setup & automation

Comments: The tool works well, does what it says. Not more, not less. Refreshingly simple.

Pros:

- the tool, albeit a new service, is well-though through - the setup is the best. The people taking you through the process made the speed and convenience the real reason why I'd recommend this service - regular reminders to follow up on required steps for HMRC or other parties

Cons:

not much to not like ... it works well, does what it says. Only once one request did not instantly work, perhaps due to a bug. But team response speed, and the tool allowing manual overwrite, fixed it

Streamlined and Affordable

Pros:

Easy to use platform and quick response from support team.

Cons:

Standard only provide one valuation a year. Would be nice to be able to contact support team by telephone.

Nothing, the interaction with inland revenue was a little tricky but that's not vestd fault, it's just typical inland revenue issues.

Pros:

Swift onboarding and good customer support from the team

Cons:

No major issues. The monthly fee is quite high, but the quality of product and customer support makes up for this

Making the complex simple

Comments: It's helped us simplify share ownership and transfers, and given full visibility for shareholders too - a brilliant one-stop-shareholder-shop!

Pros:

It's so beautifully user-friendly: I love using it! Share ownership and movements can be a complicated area, but Vestd have stream-lined it into something much more simple. There's also complete transparency about cost - often not the case with legal issues.

Cons:

Some things that is doesn't do - like approving Shareholders Agreements. Also, adopting non-standard approaches (like Articles of Association) is more of a challenge. But help is always on hand, and efficient guidance is given promptly and professionally.
