Peace of mind & ease of use

Comments: This has been the real positive, the software just does what it needs to and maintains a clean record of our affairs. What has made Vestd such a good choice for us is the very detailed and thoughtful guidance before, during and long after signing up. They have made time and brain available to understand our business, its needs and objectives and given advice on that basis. Never with any pressure or spin. About a year ago I was interviewing someone for a job. She had previously worked in a small company which she'd been in from the get-go. It had sold. I mentioned something about how presumably she'd walked away with some reward from it all. Raw nerve touched. Long story short, the owner had set up EMI shares themselves but hadn't done it correctly. The buyer came in, saw that the shares were incorrectly administered and gave her nothing at all. Moral of the story: if you are going to do this stuff, do it right.

Pros:

Like me, it's simple. It takes what is a potentially horrendously complex process and makes it simple and clear. The interface is very clear - that's both for me on the dashboard and for users who log in.

Cons:

Not a lot to say on this front, nothing springs to mind. Of course, I'm not someone with deep knowledge of share issues so there are better people to ask out there, somewhere...

Vestd X Flairbox

Comments: Couldn’t recommend the company enough.

Pros:

Vestd is honestly one of the most useful products out there when starting a business. Not only do [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and the team guide you through everything and are on hand to answer questions constantly, but the software itself is very easy to use and implements any changes automatically.

Cons:

The only minor minor thing is that occasionally it wouldn’t tell you the reason for an error when setting up an EMI scheme template, and you’d have to work out what was wrong by trial and error. But I think that was more user error that be honest!

Great customer service!

Comments: This is my first time using an EMI software service and thee customer service from the Vestd team is fantastic. They have taken the time to talk me through the platform, how everything works and even how EMI schemes work.

Pros:

I like that it's user friendly and easy to navigate.

Cons:

I'm still learning the platform, so nothing I can think of at this stage.

Great platform and even better customer support

Pros:

I had an amazing experience using this platform! The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. From the moment we signed up, they guided us every step of the way, ensuring that we had a seamless experience. Their expertise was evident as they addressed all my questions and concerns promptly and with great detail. It was refreshing to interact with a team that was well-informed about their platform. Additionally, the platform itself is exceptionally well-organized. The layout is intuitive, making it easy to navigate and find exactly what I needed. The categorization and search functionalities are top-notch. Overall, the staff's helpfulness and the platform's organization make this an exceptional platform that I highly recommend.

Cons:

No complaints, everything was top notch.

Trail Blazing Employee Equity

Comments: We think it's a great platform and the excellent support from the team continues to ratify our decision to partner with Vestd!

Pros:

The platform is intuitive both from an owner/admin perspective but also for employees which is vital as this might be the first interaction that people have had with equity products – making sure the process is clear and understood ensures adoption and realisation of the benefit for each individual!

Cons:

Nothing of note - we utilise a good range of features and the platform performs well

Great onboarding

Pros:

Having all our options in one platform is a godsend, timesaving and so much less of a headache than what we were using. It's great to know the link to Companies House will mean we stay on top of all our reporting requirements. We've not long started using the platform and its taken quite a long time to set up given the complexities of our scheme and our admin, but so far so good. Huge shout out to James who has onboarded us. I'm sure he never wants to hear from me again as I've asked him about a billion questions, he's been so patient and has done his utmost to explain things to me so I actually understand things. Wouldn't have been able to do this without him because half the time I genuinely didn't know what I was doing!

Cons:

I have not been using it for very long so haven't found many things I don't like and I've not used a similar platform before as a comparator.

Great Product and Service

Pros:

We signed up with Vestd in April 2022 and they have made our lives so much easier. They have assisted with all our shares issues (including EMI options) and I am incredibly grateful to them for the great service. [sensitive content hidden] has assisted with everything and his help and guidance has been fantastic. [sensitive content hidden] also came to my rescue recently when I made a mistake while issuing a new allotment of shares. Their support staff are exceptional! Great company that I highly recommend.

Cons:

I don't dislike anything about Vestd. I have only had good experiences with them.

Help/Support guides are good but would probably prefer video walkthroughsWhen there is some complexities around particular existing/historic Schemes the scheme builder doesn't always flow and make a tonne of sense - would be good to have an import historic scheme option.

Complexity made simple through great service

Comments: Top class, seamless, supportive. I could not have asked for better service. Highly recommended!

Pros:

The onboarding with fantastic customer service - caring, attentive, supportive, understanding, going at my pace, and educating all the way. The platform; whilst initially daunting became easy to use through the great onboarding/screen-sharing support. It can do so much and save so much time, I am looking forward to using it more & more.

Cons:

Nothing. I have no criticism at all. Everyone thing and everyone was spot on.

A very smart way to manage equity

Comments: I went to Vestd to help my clients find a cost-effective solution for creating and managing shares and share option schemes.
For me, the software does the heavy lifting and leaves a very useable, complete and well-documented interface for clients should they wish to bring the management of their newly-created schemes fully inhouse. I get to do what I enjoy most - helping the clients design their schemes and spending more of my paid-time on what interests the client rather than what is interesting to lawyers. If clients wish me to remain manager of the scheme, the software makes that decision very economic for them.
Additionally, the Vestd valuation process (for EMIs) is done in person by Vestd very professionally and cost-effectively, reducing the number of plates spinning during a project.

Pros:

It is very easy to follow and its content and output is very high quality. The background material, context and instructions, is very helpful to lay clients as well as a very good ruler for the lawyer to follow. The in-person support is like talking to a knowledgeable and experienced colleague.

Cons:

I don't have any reservations. Vestd's mix of software tools with professional in-person support is impressive

Exceptional customer service which sets this platform ahead of the rest of the pack

Pros:

Its fair to say that we were a difficult client, with a complicated share capital structure (5 classes of share) and very particular requirements that needed addressing quickly. We wanted to use Vestd for company secretarial services and Companies House integration as well as for setting up and administering a share option scheme. Other platforms that we looked at told us they could not help. Vestd deployed its development team to amend the platform to accommodate our needs, without fuss or charging us more. The onboarding, investment and valuation teams (special thanks to [sensitive content hidden]) were incredibly responsive and attentive. It was great to work with a SaaS product that is willing and able to update and improve its software in a quick and agile manner and provide such personalised support. Thank you Vestd.

Cons:

Nothing springs to mind at the moment, the platform does what it sets out to do, and provided that Vestd keep adding functionality and refinements, it will be a leader in its field.

Vestd has the most amazing team I have ever come across

Comments: I think Vestd has hired a team of the kindest, understanding, helpful and supportive people. I have personally had the best customer service interactions I've ever experienced. Each member of the team who helped me made me feel as though they worked me and me alone, with one on one support, prior knowledge of the company and coming to calls already knowing some of the things I struggle with. They have made something so complicated so incredibly smooth to do.

Pros:

The product itself is so easy to use and you are talked through the way to use (as many times as you need) and you receive incredibly helpful emails with updates/instructions.

Cons:

No bad points from me, I personally think the software is 10/10

Great platform

Comments: Vestd have been brilliant from the start. They always respond quickly and no question is a silly questions as far as they are concerned and I've asked a lot of questions! The online help guides are great and our shareholders and employees really appreciate and value the information the platform gives them. I think the product is great value for money.

Pros:

It is a very easy to use tool which makes something that is very complicated easy to manage. It is also great for users as well as administrators.

Cons:

There are some things you have to get Vestd to do for you but their response times are great so this isn't a big problem.

Powerful product met with very helpful customer service

Comments: Excellent customer service thanks to the likes of Jo and Ash as well as a responsive dev team. I don't think a single problem of mine hasn't be solved which is fantastic.

Pros:

It's much more than just a platform to issue share option schemes: a huge amount of our company's secretarial & administrative work as well as share modelling can be achieved with Vestd too and all under the same subscription

Cons:

I think the product has a hard job to make complex products, especially because of regulatory requirements, accessible. Where friction is felt is often due to government bureaucracy rather than a limitation of the software itself.

great application that saved so much time

Comments: excellent and support were very helpful and knowledgeable

Pros:

before Vestd we were manually updating spreadsheets and sending out information which was very time-consuming​. Vestd took all the admin out of our hands and automated it. Also the presentation of the information and flexibility​ of the application made internal and external reporting simple and efficient .

Cons:

it provided all we needed so no negative feedback

Excellent company

Pros:

[SENSITIVE CONTENT] in particular was great in helping us understand how to use Vestd and the onboarding process was great. The only company we saw with a direct integration to Companies House. Has definitely saved us hours of work. Great work team.

Cons:

Some of the UX could be improved and there are other useful features they can add (such as more extensive cap table modelling). Undoubtedly this is to come.

Easy, cost effective and a total no brainer!

Comments: Vestd has been great. The team there is very knowledgeable and has really helped us launch our EMI scheme.

Pros:

In a previous company, I created an EMI scheme with my lawyer. To be honest, doing it this way got very expensive very quickly. I really like how the guys at Vestd have simplified the process and ultimately made it easy to get an EMI in place.

Cons:

There are no cons really. The software is well designed and does exactly what you would expect.

Simple to use and excellent customer support

Comments: We are very satisfied with the platform and it does exactly what we need. The support we have received from the Vestd team has been excellent, and this has extended way beyond the product into how we manage our shares and company filings.

Pros:

It is simple to use but at the same time offers a comprehensive management platform, plus the automated reporting is really useful.

Cons:

Occasionally it can be tricky to find the exact admin screen needed as it isn't always obvious from the menu system, but the support team are always quick to point us in the right direction.

Fantastic offering and support

Pros:

I loved the ease of which I can issue and distribute shares which is blindingly fast. Furthermore, the support I get on Vestd is a world class and currently, I have had no issues unresolved and the resolution typically happens within hours.

Cons:

It would be great if there was a feature to automatically email the shareholders with their share certificates.

Would highly recommend

Pros:

Cap table management and managing the companies house documentation process.

Cons:

The software is a little on the expensive side for a SME.

Excellent experience setting up an EMI scheme

Pros:

The folks on the Vestd team have been extremely helpful in getting my team up and running with an EMI scheme. Having no previous experience with or understanding of the scheme, I had an endless stream of questions, which the team handled with an abundance of patience. I especially want to give a shout out to [SENSITIVE CONTENT], who not only handled my non-stop barrage of questions, but also kept me on track when the timing slipped my mind. Thank you!!!

Cons:

Some things cannot be updated myself without Vestd approval (though this could be a good thing - keeps me from accidentally messing things up). Also, our Articles of Association were previously filed with a different company, and because of this, Vestd is not allowed to look at my Articles to confirm that I'm not doing something wrong. (I understand it would be a significant undertaking when I didn't use Vestd for this, but just thinking of if I could ask for anything, regardless of whether it's reasonable.)

A good piece of software

Pros:

Customer support is very good. Help with the HMRC valuation exercise was great.

Cons:

Some of the navigation isn't as intuitive as it could be

Highly recommend

Pros:

Vestd software makes the whole process of setting up and issuing share schemes really easy, particularly for a novice. The best thing is the live on demand platform where all shareholders can see their position in real time. We have found this much more motivating for our employees versus the traditional method which typically involves dusting off an old signature page lost in a forgotten drawer. Our previous experiences of legal/administrative activities can be clunky and subject to human error and delays. Our experience with Vestd was the complete opposite and we concluded everything within a month of when we 'pressed go'.

Cons:

Customer service was great, but, complementing the service with a little more ad-hoc phone interaction could have sped up the response process at various points.

Very useful alternative for EMI share options scheme administration

Pros:

Customer service team. Electronic document signing and filing. Step by step guidance even if you select a less "supportive" / "hand-holding" plan.

Cons:

There is a lot of content online and guidance etc linked within the platform. Sometimes this wasn't the easiest to navigate. Our Rep was always on hand to help though and point us in the right direction.
