Video editing tool for multiple

Pros:

The best thing which we liked about this product is that we can work as an organization instead of an individual and we can share our content with our peers and make it password protected.

Cons:

needs more improvement towards adding more content in its library for font types, background, interface, audio, and transitions from one slide to another.

My GOTO screen recorder

Comments: I'm delighted with SOM.
I've been using it since V1 to share tutorials with my team, record webinars, VSLs, online trainings and group meetings.

Pros:

Screencast-O-Matic is like the powerpoint for video/screenshots. You can quickly and easily record your screen and/or your webcam... or make screenshots (without having the app crashing on you in the middle of it). Then edit what you need with their embedded editor. (I like that the mic signal is cleaned automatically within the editor to remove undesirable noises.) One more click and your final output is shared online within their included cloud service. If you chose to save the video to your computer, you won't need to re-compress it with handbrake to save space as it's already producing decently sized files (3 compression levels available). You can even configure it to save your work files in the cloud so that you can come back later to them from anywhere and continue where you left (or just cancel as many actions as you wish - all your history is saved along with your final output). I also like the fact that it comes with royalty free music we can use within our videos in a few clicks. I'm happy to pay monthly. The price is ridiculous and it's an awesome product that keeps being updated.

Cons:

To my regret, they removed in V2 the "automatic documentation" feature which was available in V1. There is now the possibility to import an external video and edit it within the tool; unfortunately, some MP4 codecs have playback issues. That's about it for the cons.

Avoid new version

Comments: Old app, when it was Screencast-o-matic: so easy, I was a big advocate
New app: terrible, it just doesn't work

Pros:

Used to be such an easy program to use. The old program (I started using when it was Screencast-o-matic) made it very simple to record online classes and make them accessible to students.

Cons:

Terrible, TERRIBLE conversion to new app and format. Videos now don't save and can't be converted to a usable format (this used to be very easy). I spent a good bit of time recording a class on the new app, and then spent several hours trying to save it, to no avail. Nothing I've tried will save the video and all the work's down the drain. Looking for a new recording program now, will never use Screenpal again.

Explosive Video creation

Comments: I am quite satisfied

Pros:

ease of usage was extremely pleasant and I could do it over and over

Cons:

editing is somewhat difficult sometimes particularly to gaue the cut off points

Highly intuitive and easy to use screen recording platform.

Comments: The platform is incredibly easy to use, very intuitive, and ideal for novices as well as those who are more familiar with screen recorders.

Pros:

The price to upgrade and use the system's full array of features is quite modest and definitely worth it as the platform is incredibly easy to use.

Cons:

The platform does not offer an option for a one-off payment for lifetime use of the product. Instead, if a user wants to benefit from the more advanced features that go beyond the free package, they will need to be an annual subscription.

Powerful video tool & proficient customer support

Pros:

Screenpal helps our business create quick customized videos all the way to scripted tutorials with voiceovers. We use this tool daily for videos, tutorials, and screenshots. The customer support team was outstanding in resolving my concerns about Stories. They were patient, straight to the point, efficient, and resourceful! Thanks for thinking out of the box and taking time to listen to my concern and find me a solution!

Cons:

The only difficulty I have had is with duplicating 'Story' videos...which i would like to include the script, individual videos, and edits.

ScrrenPal's takeover of Screen-o-Matic provides promise, but still hasn't delivered.

Comments: I'm only able to produce low to mid-level content doe to its klunky operation.

Pros:

Web-based tools that help me produce learning content. The price is not ridiculous.

Cons:

It is not user-friendly. Too many functions require me to look up a web link to access that function. It doesn't have its own connections to its own features. When a feature is upgraded, there is barely any information about it. There needs to be a robust and friendly Knowlege Base for all features and integrations.

ScreenPal: A Simple Solution to Your Complex Challenge!

Comments: Much like when it was ScreenCast-O-Matic, ScreenPal is easy to use, reliable, and has enough versatility to keep me fro switching anytime soon!

Pros:

Ease of use AND reliability are the top two things I like most about ScreenPal over other similar products.

Cons:

The annual subscription seems to continue to rise and I have yet to see a break for educators or those who also use it for teaching classes and courses.

Screen Pal is my best tool

Comments: Great as I have been trying to learn some of the high dollar apps for editing and creating videos they are just so deep for a new user this is the very best ..

Pros:

Just plain easy to use even and old fart like myself can figure it out

Cons:

Have not found anything bad and there are still tools I have not yet tested

Favourite Screenrecoder

Comments: Overall a robust value for money tool I use for video recording and screenwalkthroughs

Pros:

I'v tried a few options, like Loom, Camtasia, SnagIt but eventuially settled for Screencastomatic because of the ease of use and short learning curve

Cons:

It would be perfect if it had an optimised Greenscreen option. The current one doesn't work.

Amped up screen recorder that is still easy to use.

Comments: I have used many tools from simple to complex and this tool has all I need, when I need it.

Pros:

Screencast-O-Matic has been a welcome addition to my weekly online learning tools. It can be used for giving anyone a direct link to video directions you create to weekly lesson plan coverage. All videos can be edited from items ranging to adding music to blurring out unwanted images on the video. This comes in handy as a staff leader for creating "How-to" videos for our staff. It also is easily integrated with most learning management systems like Schoology and Google classroom for example.

Cons:

There are many tools to choose from when editing, which can take a bit to use, but most are not needed, but can be useful when needed.

Comments: Asolutely outstanding, excetional, enjoyable and very fun to use as a video creator.

Pros:

Screenpal software is very easy to use, inexpensive and very well kept (Updates) always. It never malfunctioned and always blew my mind with all it's amazing features.

Cons:

Honestly, I could not find anything wrong with this exceptionally great video creation software.

Awesome video editing software

Comments: I need to create custom recordings of software functionality for internal and external audiences.
Screencast-O-Matic makes it easy to create a quick high quality video with transitions, effects, text, easily edit in and take out content... it's just great.

Pros:

It's easy, responsive, and just awesome. I use it nearly every day to record edit and then easily share/post up to my YouTube channel to then distribute to customers and colleagues quality videos.

Cons:

Nothing really, it more than meets my needs.

Disappointing

I was a user of Screencastomatic (the previous Brand) for 6 years. see below what they wrote next to my profile "You have been a member for 2244 days and have 810 videos and 0 images! Whoa!"In 6 years, Screencastomatic was very reliable. It never caused any issue on any of my computer.Recently they changed the name to Screenpal.Since then, the app keeps crashing my PCs. The app is unusable. It says that I failed to download the latest version but Nothing on my end seems to indicate that.Whomever bought the company screwed it up very fast.All they needed to do was to leave it alone. This is really a case of: If it ain't broke don't fix it.I am curretly looking for another solution.

What a crap product

Comments: I used this product all the time. I am no looking for another product to use. The transition to screenpal has cost me so many lost hours trying to get it to work. It is horrible

What was good is now terrible. I liked that it worked. It doesn't now

I just spent 2 hours doing feedback for students on the iPad. Uploaded videos to screen pal. The videos don't work. How do you charge for a product that is so terrible to use

Comments: Excellent , but much more to improved in respect of incorporation of more HD quality pictures in stock library and AI tools

Pros:

All features of screenpal are good. But Video editing feature is impressive. Incorporation of AI tools for text , picture and video generation will make it unbeatable

Cons:

Poor stock library with no science topics involved. Scientist pics are not at all available

Screen capture and video creation for e-learning

Comments: I've used ScreenPal since the early Screencast-O-matic days. I've made hundreds and hundreds of videos. I like the tools and the flexibility. I always get 2 thumbs up from my collegues and from end users!

Pros:

ScreenPal does what it is advertised to do. It is easy to learn, the settings are intuitive, and there are tons of help resources built in.

Cons:

At this time there are no cons. The old version would sometimes be clunky but they've fixed it. It's all good now!

Simply the best

Comments: Record, upload videos to their storage, and much more, try it.

Pros:

Easy Editing, Easy Operation, Superior support, record Zoom meetings and webinars. Anything that is on your screen. Love it!

Comments: I have had a very good experience with the system.

Pros:

Screen recording and camera as well as editing

Cons:

The appearance of the framework has changed a bit comparing to the previous one before the name change.

Overall, Good Product

Pros:

I can easily create videos for my students and staff. I like that I can edit and upload directly to YouTube.

Cons:

Too often, I need to reinstall the plugin, which is time consuming.

ScreenPal is wonderful and great to use if you want to create a quality video with minimum effort or experience.

Easy to use, easy to lose

Comments: I've used Screencast-O-Matic for probably 5 years now off and on for different internal purposes, tutorials, or updates, and it is a great tool for what it does!

Pros:

The two things I love most about the software is the easy of use/intuitiveness and the ability to capture small sections of the screen instead of the entire screen!

Cons:

Obviously the watermark logo is going to be on everything until you pay to remove it. I can't be too mad about it as it's not something the company I work for has ever wanted to pay for, but for my internal purposes it's always been more than adequate.
