Synthesia was a very dynamic process and experience. It was a time and money saver.
I believe it could be my own lack of skills as a force here, but I did have trouble manipulating the diction to achieve proper pronunciation of some words.

Very surprised at how easy this was to make a great finished product

Pros:
It is very easy to transform an idea (or text) into a video. I have tested other platforms and Synthesia is by far the easiest one.
Cons:
I would like to create different avatars (some of them with a non-natural look i.e. a robot, or a dog). Seems that it is not possible at the moment.
Synthesia Arbitrary and restrictive "Community Guidelines"
Comments: Indifferent and not interested in helping the customer/developer in new innovations.
Pros:
I do not have a positive experience to submit to this platform.
Cons:
Synthesia 1. “Community Guidelines” are far too abstract and arbitrary leaving too much interpretation to your censors of free speech to be predictable from the customer/developer. For example, the cancellation of customer/developer videos for “impersonation” seems to not allow for any names either for the avatar to call themselves by name, nor for the avatar to address any person by name is contrary to normal conservational language standards. For any customer/developer, the inability to use common language in your product does not allow for creative efforts into virtual environments to include live, virtual and constructive environments. This restrictive policy removes the ability to present a normal dialogue in virtual environments and is too restrictive, and NOT mentioned in the material you provide prior to purchase of your product. 2. The application of your “Community Guidelines” is punitive and not collaborative. Your “artificial intelligence” has been programmed to detect the potential of “impersonation” should flag the material in question AS the material is being produced in the development window of your product. You could easily program your system to advise the customer/developer of the potential issue during the input stage that would save many hours of time from the customer/developer. Your cancellation of customer/developer videos is very comparable to COVID level censorship and authoritarian means of silencing voices. 3. The inability to then edit and correct the flagged “violation of community standards” by being locked OUT of the materials that we were used during the development cycle means even a larger loss of time. 4. The lack of customer service and coordination over these issues is alarming and seems dictatorial. I see no effort to engage the customer/developer over these concerns, nor correct the waste of time that your company presents. For the reasons above, I recommend avoiding this company. Comments: it was really good! I wish we could do more animation, and cartoon options as well. or at least to be able to change from human avatars to different styles.

That is easy to edit and friendly to people who aren't too familiar with the website.
Cons:
I recommend creating a specific window for editing the videos, like a studio tab or page specific for editing videos. I also recommend that it is a good idea to make sure the words the IA avatar speaks are less robotic. Sometimes, it is.
Synthesia is user-friendly
Comments: Synthesia is very user-friendly. I don't need to take any tutorial or read any document. I can start right away. The quality of the videos is professional.

The Avatar looks natural and the summary from the uploaded script is well-written.

The quota is small. I can make 30-minutes videos per month.

Comments: I use Synthesia to create commercial presentations for my company and lectures.

I think the prices are a bit steep, but the quality makes it worth it. And I'm not too fond of the content moderation system.
Game Changing
Comments: Excellent. Its saves me so much time that I am producing videos that I never though I would have the time or budget for!

Not much I can think of here. The editing would benefit from a feature to update all scenes, but even that is being really picky.

No ability to use tables and most of all the langauge feature is not affordable for one man enterprises.

Comments: Very good. Ive received a lot of positive feedback from our team on learning and engagement compared to what it was previously.
Pros:
Great product and very engaging compared to pdfs or slides where user engagement is typically low.
Cons:
Pricing can be extremely high if you want to scale video production. Also think certain features like one click translation should be included, not an additional cost to upgrade.

Synthesia Amazes Me Every day
Comments: I started making videos within a few minutes. easily learning the intuitive ways to create truly amazing videos with avatars that, honestly, I need to tell most people... This is an avatar! It's that good.

This is an amazing product. No kidding. Now with the new personal avatars, even I am shocked seeing myself and my collegues create videos in a way that is pretty much 100% real!
Cons:
Can be a little slow in creating the videos and in particulat creating personal avatars. But It's really quite understandable since the quality is so good and it really is a very high demand on computing resources to create such things.
Great Experience and Excellent Results
Comments: Synthesia is a real surprise for me. I found this incredible solution less than a week ago and started loving it as soon as I started using it. It is easy to use and has AI as one of the tools. For me, there is everything I was searching for.

Ok, it takes one day to complete the construction of a personal avatar.
My experience with the synthesia software
Comments: All in all, after the avatar debacle, I was somewhat satisfied. However, since I struggled with the mentioned difficulties and video creation sometimes took an unbelievably long time, I also looked into other products. I came across the software HeyGen, which is comparable to Synthesia but much faster in video creation, and there were never any issues with the content of 'weather report' videos. The pricing for both programs is similar, but with HeyGen, I can create as many video sequences as I want, with a maximum duration of 5 minutes.
Pros:
What I liked the most was the possibility to create a personal avatar.
Cons:
However, what I didn’t like at all was that I sometimes had to wait up to an hour for the video to be completed. Often it said 'just 1 minute left,' but it ended up taking almost an hour. Additionally, a few of my videos were blocked, even though I had only created a harmless weather report with my own avatar. When creating my avatar, it wasn’t clear that the outro also needed to be recorded as video and not just audio. As a result, it took several attempts and a lot of time until I finally had my own avatar.
This is the Future, and it Will Only Get Better!
Comments: I was asked to use Synthesia by a client as part of an educational project we were working on. I had not previously heard of the platform, and was a bit skeptical as previous AI platforms I have used just look and sound "fake". I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The interface is very well laid out and easy to use. There are a wide variety of avatars that both look and sound natural. I was able to get through my workload easily and quickly - although some of the picture suggestions were a bit wide of the mark, and quite a bit of manual editing was necessary. Nevertheless, my overall experience was good, and I am sure the platform will improve as time goes by. I will definitely be using Synthesia again.
Pros:
Very simple and easy to use. The interface is quite straightforward, and there are a good variety of avatars.
Cons:
Some of the picture suggestions are not very accurate - in one video I made the Ottoman Empire was represented by a photo of a footstool! There's no way to stop the AI assistant rewriting an uploaded script - or if there is, I couldn't find it.

Efficient, fun & a great marketing tool
Comments: Excellent. I cannot believe how far the avatars have come since I started using the program 9 months ago.

Easy to create the avatar itself in terms of the recording, as well as the videos. I also really liked how I could use a background of my choosing. The platform is also super easy to navigate, even for someone with no tech background (ie: me).
Cons:
Having to use Google chrome browser. Also, the fact that now I am spending way too much time creating many more videos as it is so easy and fun to use and see the end results!

Streamlined video production
Comments: Overall, I'd give this 9 out of 10. To get the full marks I need some body movement, hand and arm gestures as well as the ability to have sideways on poses and add props.
Pros:
It's a very simple tool that streamlines the video production process for training videos that I put within eLearning course. The mix of avatars and voices along with the tone you can put on certain words helps me create diverse content for different audience groups.
Cons:
It takes some time to generate videos and the preview mode does not show you how the avatar moves and talks.
