Reliable Connectivity

Comments: This product makes connecting remotely viable.

Pros:

Ability to connect with ease and perform work remotely.

Cons:

File transfers sometimes glitch; could not utilize file transfer when logged in from vacation rental with firewall.

Retail - Point of Sale Support

Comments: GoToMyPC has been easy to use. With other remote software we have had trouble with remote printing and getting the print setting correct.

Pros:

We use GoToMyPC to remotely manage our retail store system. It makes it easy to login when the staff is having a problem with balancing the register or invoicing. We can login see the what they are doing & walk through the process with them. We also use it to update inventory.

Cons:

Cost. We are a small business & I wish they would have better pricing for small businesses.

Past its prime

Comments: It enabled our users to access their computers remotely, but it is a very no frills experience and feels archaic compared to the competition while being sold for a similar price. It is clear that this is simply legacy software that GoTo offers to those that haven't thought to test the market.

Pros:

At the end of the day GoToMyPC will allow you to access a PC remotely, so it does accomplish what it sets out to do.

Cons:

I have tested and used various remote desktop software and GoToMyPC is probably the most basic and feature poor of them all. The entire thing feels like it hasn't been in active development in at least 10 years. Lacks the ability to open remote monitors in their own windows is a huge missing feature that any modern remote desktop software should be embarrassed to lack and was the number 1 complaint from my users.

Tax Returns

Comments: I do income tax returns and represent clients before the IRS and state tax agencies and being able to do that from any computer, anywhere, is beneficial

Pros:

The ability to get on my office computer from my home office computer.

Cons:

The cost. I think I have been over charged for four computers but that would have been my fault because I was not watching what I was doing when I installed the program on other office computers.

Go to my PC is the best that I have tried

Pros:

The system is as quick as the computer systems that you are using. When I work remotely, it feels and acts like I am at my computer at work. I also appreciate printing from my remote loction as some systems don't allow for it or the system doesn't work well. The sizing and appearance of all the applications look and work well remotely as well. The system is also very easy to access and implement so I have no hesitation in utilizing it on a daily basis.

Cons:

I set the system for maximum speed and minimum graphics. If the requirements of the job included graphics, the system would work significantly slower. I can't compare, since I have not tried any of those applications on this or any other system. The price is also much higher than the competition, but it is worth it for what I need to accomplish.

For simple and easy-to-use access at home or on the road

Pros:

Ease of use and access. Very simple to login and be working from home or road

Cons:

Price. Probably based on security protocol, but we are a small business. Seems like prices are always made for the enterprise users and never the small businesses. Thus you have a break-even point where you pay for additional products for your employees or you pay for them to have remote access to work from home. The bigs don't have to worry about the per-unit cost of either of those options as much as small businesses do.

Great Product

Comments: I've never had any issues with GoToMyPC and so have never needed to contact customer support. The platform is stable and does exactly what I need.

Pros:

What I like most about GoToMyPC is that since I have basically become bedridden because of stage 4 cancer, GoToMyPC has allowed me to continue to do most of my work remotely from home and literally from my bed. I have an office manager on site, but there are some functions of the company that he is still unable to do at this point. This allows me to continue to move my business forward and have complete control over my finances without disrupting the everyday business of my office manager.

Cons:

Honestly, the only thing I don't like is the cost. I started with LogMeIn and was a loyal user for years and then the price skyrocketed. I found GoToMyPC, which seems like basically the same platform and possibly the same corporate ownership. However, GoToMyPC pricing was back to what I was used to. But now several years in to GoToMyPC the pricing continues to goes us. All I truly need in a product like this is the ability to access my desktop and print to either my printer at work or at home.

Useless crap

Comments: Horrible. No support. Yesterday's "degraded performance" debacle was the last straw.

Cons:

This product WAS useful. Years ago, before it was purchased by whomever... Between the down time and cost I wouldnt recommend this useless app to my dog.

Great quick solution for remote working

Comments: Installed, an issue cropped up on restart for the install. Had to uninstall to get our network issue sorted, then reinstalled and tested and used all withing half an hour. Worked seamlessly at home on the weekend. Love it!

Pros:

The ease of install and setup. Very quick and relatively painless.

Cons:

there was an issue on restart with our network that took some time to clear up, but it was our network, not GoToMyPC.

Easy AND Reliable

Comments: I've been using it for 10+ years and it has never let me down once.

Pros:

It's SO easy to use and reliable. I have used it all over the country and even on cruise ships.

Cons:

There is nothing that I do not like about this product.

Love for when I travel. Keeps me connected.

I have been using GoToMyPC since 2000 and have used it almost daily and the ease for which it allows me to be anywhere and get into my main computer is priceless. I also love that it can now be accessed successfuly from my phone

Cons:

I wish they had a monthly billing feature versus just annual.

GoToMyPC works every time!

Comments: We have used GTMPC for many, many years. Easy to set up when we replace our computer.

Pros:

GTMPC is easy to set up and easy to use. We keep our company's financials on one computer along with inventory and all locations can access it.

Cons:

Price I do find that sometimes due to internet issues on one end or the other, connecting can be slow

Very Happy with performance

Comments: very easy and gives me the ability to work from home when necessary. i like being able to log in when i am at a client and need information from their file.

Pros:

it is easy to log into. multi screen function is useful

I have no problems to report. I have no complaints.

Great Product to Keep things moving

Comments: Support is great when I needed it. I think the price is good, worth the ability to go in from home and look at customer s accounts.

Pros:

Being able to go in and check warranty dates on the weekend.

Cons:

When weather is bad, we lose power at the office and I can't reconnect right away. I don't think that's go to my pc's issue.

Lawyer loves it

Comments: It's been fantastic - I can work from home or while traveling, I can print to any location if necessary.

Pros:

It's fast and easy to use - exactly as if you were working on your desktop - and I can print to my office or to my location, which is fabulous. It enables me to work from any location.

Cons:

I don't have any criticisms - I think it's a fabulous product, saves me from being tied to one physical office.

Comments: We have been using over 20 years. I would term that as a satisfied customer.

My accountant set it up for our company. It is very user friendly. Great for small business.

We have no dislikes on the system. I did take a class years ago.

Tried and True

Comments: Working from home is not a new thing but having access to the main office's accounting program after hours and on the weekend is a real time saver and improves our overall operation. We have been using this software for a long time, close to ten years, and it makes a difference. As Treasurer for a non-profit, I also used GoToMyPC and found it very useful, especially for big projects.

Pros:

GoToMyPC simplifies my work day and that of the main office. We can work on projects together and get quicker results. We have been using the program for close to ten years and it has made a big difference in productivity.

Cons:

We are a small company and it is not inexpensive.

Long Time User

Comments: I would recommend it to another person. I am very happy with the product. I have used it for at least ten years and it fills our needs quite nicely.

Pros:

I like how easy it is to use. I work from home and remote into the office, and when I travel it is easy for me to keep on top of things. It was easy to install and the directions for use were clear. This was important to me as I am not very tech savy.

Cons:

I have been a long time customer and it seems like the cost jumped quite a bit a few years ago.
