A Review of Google Classroom

5.0 5 months ago

Pros:

One of the standout features of Google Classroom is its seamless integration with other Google tools. This makes it incredibly convenient for both teachers and students to access documents, spreadsheets, and presentations directly from the platform. The user interface is intuitive and straightforward, allowing even those with limited technical skills to navigate and utilize the features effectively. I particularly appreciate the ability to create, distribute, and grade assignments all in one place. The notification system is also robust, ensuring that students stay informed about upcoming deadlines and any updates from their teachers.

Cons:

While Google Classroom offers a lot of great features, there are a few areas that could use improvement. The lack of a built-in calendar view can make it difficult to get an overview of all assignments and deadlines at a glance, requiring users to switch between Google Classroom and Google Calendar. Additionally, the grading system, while functional, can sometimes feel a bit cumbersome, especially when handling large volumes of assignments. Another limitation is the lack of customization options for the interface, which can make it feel a bit too rigid and less adaptable to different teaching styles and needs. Lastly, the platform can occasionally experience lag or downtime, which can be frustrating during critical times like assignment submissions.

Google Classroom's integration with Google Drive, ease of assignment management, and real-time collaboration features streamline communication, simplify grading, and enhance the overall learning experience for both students and teachers.

Useful easy to access classrooms for all.

5.0 4 weeks ago New

Comments: Overall it is a very useful program, being apart of the google suite makes sharing and access easy. Parent involvement would be beneficial.

Pros:

Super easy to use, integrations with rest of google suite made use easy. The 24/7 access and cross platform connectivity and immediate saving made life simple.

Cons:

Limited customization, and as much as the access and connectivity is a pro, if you are not on a solid consistent connection made life difficult. Minimal parent involvement I feel this should be increased.

Basic Learning Management

3.0 8 months ago

Comments: The system is flawed but really simple to use. It’s not the best LMS but most people have some familiarity with Google and are use to its design and system. I’d like to see major improvements to this system though.

Pros:

I like how easy the system is to use. It is fairly straight forward and can be accessed by anyone who has the Google account. The style of the LMS looks like a social media posting site. You have 3 tabs the students can explore and posting is unlimited. There is a grade book feature with a rubric integration. It’s a good tool for essay grading and submitting documents.

Cons:

The platform lacks many of the features of most LMS SYSTEMS. it does not ingrate well with complex plate risk checkers like turnitin. You have to manually add students each term as it does not integrate with other systems. If you copy a course then you loose the ability to utilize the plagiarism tool. Students also are confused by the stream where communication is posted. It also doesn’t allow you the ability to pin important documents to the top of the page.

Google Classroom Features

5.0 7 months ago

Comments: I've been using it for more than 3 years and i never experienced this feeling of comforts during the time i was working. Its really an app/web that allows you to discover a new site full of features and different stuff.

Pros:

It's really good for all type of people to be honest. It's also easy to use. Very handy for people like students or someone who needs an app that allow them to work in full comfort.

Cons:

The only thing i didn't like about it was the fact that you can't leave a group if you aren't the one that created it. I would like to have a button for that issue.

One of the Best Online School !!!

5.0 7 months ago

Comments: My overall experience with Google Classroom has been largely positive. Google Classroom offers an intuitive and user-friendly interface, making it easy for both educators and students to navigate and utilize its features. Also, the platform simplifies classroom management by providing tools for organizing assignments, facilitating communication, and managing student submissions.

Pros:

What I like most about Google Classroom is that it streamlines the management of classes by allowing teachers to digitally organize, distribute, and collect assignments and course materials. This reduces the administrative burden on teachers and keeps everything neatly organized and the integration with other Google tools, such as Google Docs, Sheets, and Meet.

Cons:

What I like least is just the inability to schedule assignments for multiple classes simultaneously.

Very Satisfied

5.0 12 months ago

Comments: I have been using Google Classroom for the past 4 years as a student, during my Bachelor's and Master's Program. It is very easy to use, very accessible, very convenient and it has all the features a student or a teacher can wish for.

Pros:

Uploading the assignments was definitely one of my favorite things, as it was very easy to submit my work and keep track of the deadlines. I must also mention the share screen feature which many times made the course easier.

Cons:

It is not necessarily a con, but something I personally wish it got improved. I would love to see more layout options and customization for both the working space and the online meeting.

"Efficient and Accessible Google Classroom"

5.0 7 months ago

Comments: My overall experience using Google Classroom has been positive. It has a simple design, easy interaction with G Suite products, and effective assignment management. Communication and collaboration are expedited, but customization is limited, and internet connectivity is occasionally required. Despite a few small limitations, it has significantly facilitated the teaching and learning processes.

Pros:

Pros: Google Classroom offers educators a user-friendly interface and integrates easily with G Suite apps such as Google Drive. Its effective assignment management system allows for the creation, distribution, and grading of assignments within the platform, which improves workflow. It serves as a communication hub, facilitating announcements, feedback, and conversations while encouraging collaboration. The digital format encourages organization, minimizes dependency on physical resources, and provides simple access from any place. Teachers can provide prompt comments and assessments, thereby promoting student learning.

Cons:

Cons: To begin, there are few customization choices for assignments and course formats, which may not fit the needs of all educators. Second, it is dependent on regular internet access, which presents difficulties in locations with inadequate connectivity. Users who are unfamiliar with Google's products will also face a learning curve. Data collection may raise privacy concerns, particularly among minor pupils. Finally, while it interacts seamlessly with G Suite, it may encounter compatibility concerns with third-party programs.

Google Classroom is vital to education

5.0 10 months ago

Comments: Google Classroom has become a lifesaver for my online teaching classes.

Pros:

Google Classroom is the most user friendly LMS programs I have used. The communication and assignment abilities is vital to educators. I also love the ability to quickly link videos and other websites into assignments and material. The integration of Google Drive has become the best feature.

Cons:

Nothing at this moment. One thing I would like to suggest is for a way for assignments to become "active" if a student completes a previous assignment higher than a specific grade.

Good software to host both live and recorded courses

5.0 7 months ago

Comments: So far I use Google Classroom as my number one solution for my team, although it lacks a bit in integration and communication features, it still presents an easy-to-use solution to host the training tracks.

Pros:

Turning live sessions into recorded courses was easy, managing the courses and adding material throughout the training track was straightforward and it was generally easy to manage the team's progress through the process.

Cons:

There was no way to interact directly inside Google Classrooms without integrations with Google Meet. Also, there is a lack of integration with other solutions from outside of the Google ecosystem.

The real supporter for Virtual Learning

5.0 10 months ago

Comments: It's like lifesaver for my virtual learning journey. I daily use this for my study purposes and for submitting my assignments also.

Pros:

The main feature I like is that you can make different class groups within the app and all the materials for specific subject will be in there groups so we can easily access that.

Cons:

The thing I dislike about it that if you upload anything than it will be seen to all tha members of the group.

The Google Classroom Review by an Experienced user

5.0 6 months ago

Pros:

Pros: If we look at Google Classroom from the perspective of a beginner, one of its best features is how simple it is to start. Just put the classroom code on your Google account to join class, and you are done. You are now in a class and can access all the study material that has been shared by the teachers there.

Cons:

Cons: I genuinely think there can be a better way to arrange everything on the website and app. It looks so messy sometimes when you have to find your class or some work-related document, and there is no way to find it out without looking at each and every section of the classroom, so I really think there should be a search option on there to make the files more accessible.

Google Classroom Admin and use

4.0 11 months ago

Comments: Shakey at first as everything was manual before the integrations of SSO. Once that was implemented, it was quite enjoyable.

Pros:

Once everything was set up, it was pretty easy to use. I liked how it was easily manageable and shareable. Our Teaching staff we support constantly use Google Classroom for homework and new projects and i rarely have any issues being report.

Cons:

I have a few things. When each of the classes change in september, i found it difficult to manage the change and work linked to the class. There wasnt really a great explanation on what "Archive" was. I think it could be made easier to import users. When i support a customer with over 1300 individual there (Admin, Teachers, Students) i found it daunting without the use of a SSO clients to aid with the set up.
