Fantastic product & team

Pros:

I work at a Shopify+ agency and we use Okendo's products extensively for our merchants. We have done 30+ installations of the various products. Okendo is a fantastic platform that I would highly recommend to any eCommerce merchants. The features available in each of their products is well thought out and enables any merchant to create and identify Superfans. The integration with Klaviyo in particular is absolutely invaluable. The onboarding experience is also always top-notch, and customer service is always a very high quality.

Cons:

Although I am forced to fill out this section, I don't see any cons about Okendo.

Favorite review platform so far

Pros:

We've tried many different review platforms (Judge.Me, Stamped.io, Yotpo) and Okendo has the competition beat when it comes to the combination of features and pricing. Their white-glove team helps with set up to ensure that the on-site display looks great, is there to help with integrations, and is available via chat for any questions.

Cons:

They've focused heavily on expanding to new products (Surveys, Quizzes, now Loyalty) and I think that's creating less of a focus on their core, original product. I'm concerned that in the long-run reviews may atrophy a bit, when compared to alternatives if they aren't iterating or releasing new features.

Okendo is great and easy to use!

Pros:

I really like how Okendo is easy to use and integrates seamlessly with Shopify. Their support is great and would recommend to any business looking to have ratings and reviews set up quickly.

Cons:

I don't like that I'm not able to directly syndicate reviews with other retailers (since Bazaarvoice owns this segment), but hope that we can do this in the near future! Totally not Okendo's fault.

Alternatives Considered: Bazaarvoice and Yotpo

Reasons for Choosing Okendo: Difficult to use and cost. Their support was not great as well.

Reasons for Switching to Okendo: Okendo was the most cost-effective and their service integrates seamlessly with Shopify.

Comments: Okendo has been a game-changer for us! The integration with Shopify was seamless, and setting up review requests was super easy. I love how customizable everything is, and the reviews have really helped build trust with our customers. Their support team has been amazing too—always responsive and helpful!

Pros:

I like the UI on the website. Backend is very easy to navigate and work with. Customer service very good.

Cons:

Pricing can be a bit sharper, especially for low volume smaller businesses.

Alternatives Considered: Judge.me, Growave and Yotpo

Reasons for Switching to Okendo: Customer experience, price, and UI. Good feeling.

Solid review app for non-syndicated stores!

Comments: I was really happy with the software and didn't have any complaints with it - we just had evolving needs as a company, that Okendo wasn't equipped to meet. Syndication capability with our retail partners was the key one.

Pros:

Easy to moderate, manage and respond to reviews, really polished AI responses, and integrated well with our helpdesk software.

Cons:

Syndication with key retailers was not possible, and the ability to do it manually was more expensive than competitors who could automate the syndication.

Value and flexibility

Pros:

Super easy setup, the Okendo team took care of 90% of it. Account management team is great, and they've been proactive about allowing us access to try other parts of the Okendo ecosystem.

Cons:

Nothing, I can't say enough about Okendo... it's great

Comments: Great - we've been very happy. Any issues we run into we have solved items via Okendo Support email team.

Pros:

Syncs with my other apps, and works great on Shopify Plus.

Cons:

Almost too many options, so take a minute to get used to everything and sort out how much you want to ask/require of your customer trying to leave a review. Any issues we did have, support was available.

Solid performer

Comments: We required assistance from customer support team for one step, which was slower than it should have been. But once that was done it was easy.

Pros:

Lots of functionality to encourage, manage and showcase reviews.

Cons:

It is quite pricey but it does provide options for additional plugins, building a whole smart Okendo ecosystem

Love it

Comments: Overall very happy with Okendo.

Pros:

I love how easy it was to implement, love the plethora of questions we can ask our customers to get super indepth reviews. I love the image upload option for customers. And I ESPECIALLY love that the price isn't based on how many reviews we get - we switched from Yotpo because we were getting punished for increased order volume.

Cons:

I wish we were able to break down the reviews in an easily digestible report for our design team. As is, they have to really drill down into the app to see reviews. Wish there was an ability to toggle reporting options with images, SKU's, etc. so that I could present to our team.

A great platform

Comments: We were able to collaborate easily as a team and sending many campaigns out via Okendo. The reporting is also very helpful!

Pros:

Very user friendly! It is so easy to navigate and comes with helpful dashboards.

Cons:

Nothing, it works for our company. We will continue to use it.

Comments: Overall, we had ahead a great experience with Okendo. The user interface is very straightforward and the customer support is great!

A great one stop shop for post purchase engagement that is super user friendly

I wish there was a way to customize the widgets a bit more to feel more luxurious/ high end to fit our brand

Cons:

Simple to use, great value for money and amazing support

Comments: Previously we had little control over reviews, everything was manually being assessed. When looking at alternatives our budget left us with very cheap and cheerful solutions or if we added in a lot more money we had a worthy tool but too expensive for us. Okendo is a perfect fit and at a brilliant price, it has driven value for us and we get more reviews in two weeks than we did all of last year!

Pros:

I love how simple to use the system it, I started by looking at competitors and Okendo were under 1/4 of the cost. The system is so powerful and I am always finding tweaks to be made. My concern with a simple plugin would be that we compromise on the look and feel of the reviews, but it fits in with our brand perfectly. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and the implementation team were a dream to work with and are an amazing help. I would recommend Okendo over all competitors, no question!

Cons:

I feel that it would be good to have this system better integrated with other solutions such as Klaviyo, as at the second it was clunky to set up and edit. Test sends were not the easiest.

Build trust with your customers!

Comments: Easy platform to use, seamless integration with Shopify + Klaviyo, and fair pricing. We will continue to use Okendo as our preferred Reviews partner.

Pros:

Okendo gives our customers to be our ambassadors. Sharing selfies, their thoughts on a design, and their experience with our customer support team has helped with conversion and building trust with our community.

Cons:

Wish there was more we could control from a visual standpoint.

Fantastic value, Has all the basic features you want

Comments: Start with Okendo over any other review management software. It's no risk, monthly, and it does basically everything you need it to. You can always upgrade to overpriced options later if you are missing some key features. I doubt you will though. The value is fantastic. It has made our site look so much better and add tons of social proof with the reviews and how they are displayed.

Pros:

Value. I was trying to decide between Yotpo and Okendo, and read so many reviews that while Yotpo was great with lot of extra features, you don't need the extra features and support to justify the cost. I am so happy I went with Okendo. Support. The team is small but very responsive. They will help you get set up and be there in case anything needs adjustment. They helped me with some customization as well. Clean/Simple. I love the look of Okendo. The reviews are tight, clean, and very easy to adjust with CSS settings. The carousel looks great, and I have been very happy with how it makes our site look. They make it fit with the design and style of your theme.

Cons:

Search feature. I would like the ability to search reviews. I have heard this feature may be coming soon. You can ask for a csv of all reviews or they can search for you until they release the new feature.

Phenomenal Review Platform

Comments: Easy review platform to implement at an affordable price.

Pros:

We care a lot about brand and being able to customize things according to our look and feel as well as customer needs. Okendo provided an extremely easy solution for us to customize according to our needs as well as implement. We are always lean on engineering time and the Okendo team very seamlessly helped us with the implementation. Since we've been a customer, they have released new features regularly for use to gather additional customer feedback and utilize it on the product page. Our products refresh annually so we have a limited time to capitalize on reviews for a limited period of time to lift conversion of the product. Okendo was a solution with the right features at the right price to make it a no brainer. Their client support is also phenomenal. They are easy to work with and always happy to help whenever we reach out with a request.

Cons:

We are getting so many reviews that we would like to have a better way of understanding our data of what we've gathered so far.

Great functionality and very responsive customer service

Comments: Attractive customer reviews on every product page give customers the confidence to purchase. Okendo is customizable so that it fits with the look of our Shopify theme and it also integrates with our loyalty program so that customers who leave reviews through Okendo can get loyalty points.

Pros:

Okendo reviews look great on our product pages and help customers to buy with confidence. The price and the responsive customer service can't be beat.

Cons:

I have no complaints because every time we have any issue or any ask Okendo is very responsive.

Excellent Alternative to Yotpo and Others, 90% of the functionality---10% of the price

Comments: We were a very early adopter and received excellent support and a generous trial period while setting up Okendo. Our customers love it, especially the high degree of product-specific customization and data collection. For 90% of the functionality Okendo provides, several competitors were asking for tens of thousands of dollars per year... Okendo is phenomenal deal and has an extremely polished customer facing experience.

Pros:

Excellent customer service, high degree of customization and flexibility, best-in-industry customer review experience

Cons:

Okendo is a younger product on the market and as such is a work in progress. There are some features which have not yet been implemented or are not yet user configurable... Okendo is aware of this and it's not a huge disadvantage---it's just something to keep in mind. I should also mention that while Okendo reviews are visible on product page search results---they do lack the agreement that Yotpo has with Google which allows your site as a whole to accumulate ratings based on product reviews.

To clarify the Google agreement you mentioned; Google does source Seller Ratings from a number of 3rd party review aggregators. However, Seller Ratings (also known as 'site reviews') are distinct from product reviews. Google recently released it's own service retailers can use to collect Seller Ratings, Google Customer Reviews. It's free, effective and means retailers don't need to depend on 3rd parties for Seller Ratings. Product reviews collected with Okendo can be included in Google Shopping, Google Product Listing Ads and in Google SERPs. Thanks so much!! ¿
