Google Chat works great. It’s simple to use for messaging and video calls, provided a web based interface that’s useful when you’re not using the desktop or Mobile app, and functions flawlessly. It’s free, so value is exceptional. Notifications work well, document sharing works well, and whilst it wouldn’t be my first choice over MS Teams, it doesn’t come with any major issues or reasons not to use it. > > **Cons**: Two things: 1) I dislike the “quote in new thread feature”. I see why others may find it useful, but it’s not for me. 2) in the full interface it feels clumsy when you want to start a new chat with a new person.
