Ideal of gift card side business

Comments: Overall experience was very easy, refund and discount policy made simple with square payment's gift card.

Pros:

I loved Square Payments because it's very simple and straight forward to setup the online Gift card shop. They also offer hard card for in-person usage at your kiosks and payment centers. This is very useful for small businesses to offer complimentary give-back items to attendees, participants and volunteers.

Cons:

No cons as such, but need top make upfront payment for physical cards :)

Excellent Payment Processor for Small Businesses with Helpful App

Comments: My experience with Square payments has been excellent. It has helped me bill out my services to customers and receive my payments easily and efficiently. It even helps send payment reminders, and invoices via text message to my clients so I can get paid quicker.

Pros:

Square Payments has been a game changer for my business. It allows me to create and send invoices on the go and trust that my clients will receive a detailed invoice and be able to pay me.

Cons:

I wish that it was slightly more customizable for my brand maybe with more color and logo options to truly customize it and make it memorable so my customers know they are receiving invoices from my brand.

Massive Incompetence

Comments: God awful and excessively costly with their constant service fallovers and enabling thieves to steal from you.

Pros:

Nothing, they have no accountability, no decency, and no competency whatsoever. Fools and clowns.

Cons:

Fraudulent chargeback by a mentally challenged thief that posted photos of his received good publicly. Provided that to Square to appeal the illegal chargeback, and they failed! It couldn't have been easier to win, yet they force you to let them respond on your behalf and screw it up majorly, then refuse to identify the thief so you can fix it in civil court. Disgusting incompetence with no accountability. Don't end up stuck with them like me because of hardware investments, they are beyond awful and will lose your money time and time again.

Square Payments is easy to set up and allows you to capture payment multiple ways!

Comments: We've used Square Payments for the last 4 years and during that time, Square has made a ton of updates that improve the software. For example, we've used their Payment Link option to collect payment from clients retroactively in situations where their card was declined or the wifi was down at the time of service.

Pros:

Square Payments is easy to set up and begin accepting payments for small businesses. It has integration with our accounting software so we can easily categorize payments as they occur and offers great features like transaction reports to stay on top of your money.

Cons:

Square payments does take a fee for each transaction but that is the norm.

Comments: Square payment is secure and fast, making it very easy to receive payments. Also, it is linked with many accounting tools

Pros:

It is really quite simple and is very easy to set up, especially with all the other accounting tools that are available to it

Cons:

I have to say that the fees are rather high and can grow up quickly enough based on the volume

Small business friendly and savvy!

Comments: Used for a small bakery and also on a personal level to make purchases, create purchases, invoices, and process orders for caterings.

Pros:

Small business friendly!!!! You aren’t charged up the you know what for processing payments that larger companies ding small businesses for.

Cons:

Like many processing and pos tools, you have less customization options and tools when dealing with a small business. This isn’t so much of a problem for us, but I could see expanding into a franchise it becoming a problem long term.

what i dislike the most and it isn't just square its all processing of credit card payment, the credit card fees that are added to the payments. I understand it but it also sometimes delays payments because most people do not want to pay the fees so they want to have me come back to either get a check or cash or even sometimes say they will just do an ach to avoid the fees

Comments: Overall, Square has been an excellent solution for processing smaller credit card transactions in our business. The invoicing feature is especially useful, allowing us to quickly create and email invoices with direct payment links, which streamlines the process for clients. Accepting credit card payments has removed some hurdles for clients, helping to reduce the time it takes to initiate projects, as they don’t have to wait for ACH or check approval.

Pros:

Square Payments is incredibly easy to use with minimal setup required. I appreciate that there are no monthly subscription fees, which works well for me since I only use it occasionally. The predictable, flat-fee pricing per transaction is a big plus, making it a convenient and affordable option for when clients prefer to pay by credit card.

Cons:

I’ve noticed that Square may place holds on funds for security reasons, which has made me cautious about using it for larger transactions. This limitation affects our ability to rely on Square for bigger payments, as a hold on substantial funds could impact our ability to deliver on larger service engagements.

Reasons for Switching to Square Payments: We felt that Square was easier to use than Stripe and offered more functionality without the need to purchase add-on services.

The convenience of using Square

Comments: My overall experience has been great, except for a few hang ups and glitches. I had been worth using for my business, and it works great for my companies needs.

Pros:

I like the ease of setting up on the go I safety features that Square offers I like that I don't have to just have a stationary POS. I can take it on the go.

Cons:

The one thing I dislike is the time it takes for my funds to become available for use or transferring to my bank account. Sometimes I can transfer to my bank account and sometimes I have to wait 24 hours to transfer my funds.

Reasons for Switching to Square Payments: Stripe was to complex to try to explain to my co-workers. And is costs more to use monthly.

Square Payments - Great Software

Comments: Very happy with them, would definitely recommend them to other small businesses. They are affordable, user friendly, and side with their customer (the business).

Pros:

I love this software! We have continued to still use it for payments even after getting a new CRM software.

Cons:

Nothing, it is very user friendly and they even side with you on disputes if you have all the information available to prove your claim.

My experience with Square Payments

Comments: Overall, I would say once you get used to the quirks and learn how to navigate, it becomes more simple to use.

Pros:

What I like most about Square payments is that it is quick and efficient once you get to know how to navigate through the system.

Cons:

I have found that sometimes it does not retain the credit card information I have stored in it. I have also found that the customer has the ability to remove their credit card number when they know that an automatic debit won't go through. When using the mechanism for an iPad or iPhone, sometimes it lags or doesn't function properly at all.

Comments: Overall it’s a great choice whether selling just a few items or a larger inventory of products. It’s quick and easy to use, which is a huge plus on a busy day.

Pros:

Square is so user friendly. It’s easy to create or add products, and I can access it via laptop, iPad or on my phone. People who have never used it before have been able to step in and learn how to easily navigate it in order to run our merch booth. I also like that there is an option to send invoices.

Cons:

Nothing at this time! I’ve recommended Square payments to others looking for a safe and efficient way to capture payments across several different applications (churches, small businesses).

Easy & Convenient

Comments: Truthfully I haven’t given any other companies a chance. I had Square 1st and will never use anything else.

Pros:

I love Square, it’s easy and convenient! The savings account and my automatic savings is another great perk!

Cons:

I currently can’t find a C-type plug-in for card swipe. Although, tap-to-pay is convenient most times.

Simple and easy

Comments: When you run a small business, Square could be almost the best solution. It is simple, easy and nothing to worry about it. However, if you want to go a little bit deep, it causes problems. For example, if you accept a large payment (maybe more than $1,000) through code that you create inside Square website, it will ask you to provide documents. Bothering.... and it freezes the payment asking you to refund to the customer.

Pros:

Easy and stable to use and things like taxes are treated inside Square.

Cons:

Too high fees to accept payments. Freezing of payments for a little bit large amount like $1,000.

Comments: Overall, everything has been fantastic! Collections are down, customers are much happier and business runs much more smoothly.

Pros:

This makes it quick and easy for both customers and our business. It has cut down on collections as well.

Cons:

There is nothing I dislike. I feel like every business should have this.

Comments: It was overall a good experience. We received the money as expected and were able to charge peoples credit cards.

Pros:

I liked how easy it was to use this. I use this for a college entrepreneurship class. We had to create out own product and sell it on campus. Square made it easy and convenient.

Cons:

The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the funds were not deposited to me right away. It is understandable on why but in a perfect world, I would receive the money right away.

Square is a household name brand. With this popularity the company makes sure the software is easy to use. On first use it is a straightforward process upon first opening & the first sale. I would recommend Square to anyone just beginning their business in face to face sales.

Comments: Square payments make it affordable for small businesses. You can take it on the go and not have to worry about missing out on a sale. Customer service is great. You can also get your money instant in your bank.
